If you want to DJ dubstep then yes this controller will help you (although in my opinion I would get something cheaper like Numark gear if you are starting off and buy something a bit more pricey later when you get the hang of it). If you want to produce your on tracks look up tutorials of how to make music and ask around for help. For every douche who will make fun of you there will at least be one person willing to help. Happy travels and make or mix music that you love.

@aichestylercollin Check your Cue mix knob. It needs to be either in the middle to hear both(cues, and now playing) or all the way to the left(cues) or all the way to the right(now playing). Im not sure about which is which on the left or right.

Ok...so everyone is hating on you. It's ok I was a newb at one point to and I make an effort never to forget that. DJing and producing are two totally different things. Now a days they go hand in hand like it's expected. But, the S4 is meant for DJing meaning you take different master tracks and mix them live. There is no creation of music being done. DAWs like Ableton and midi keyboards are complex software that allow to create music.

if you want to make some hardstyle just get an empty dustbin, bash it with a stick for 5 mins and record it on your nokia 3210, instant hardstyle classic.

I disagree. If one is serious about DJ'ing and can afford it then getting the S4 is a wise investment. Even if one decides DJ'ing isn't for them this would get excellent resell value.
