- In this video I take the opportunity to do a hammock hike. Days are shorter while we enter october but the temperature is still pleasant in spite of some strong winds. I bring my Trangia 25 and in the evening I make a spicy Chilequila and for breakfast pancakes with bacon.
I share some thoughts on a potential new feature on my channel that may come in the future and I hope my subscribers will respond with their thoughts.

This video turned out to be a long one but I was very relaxed on this hike and I want that to be contagious. I hope you sit in a comfortable place and that you get to experience some of the relaxation I got from this outing. Thank you for checking it out. Cheers!
Love these Trangia cooking videos ! Thank you for uploading.
Thank you Karl! Glad you like them, I plan to do more. Cheers!
I got my first Trangia stove in my late 20s when I started hiking, camping and rock climbing. In those days the most exotic meal I could come up with was Camples Cream of Mushroom Soup. Today the only Trangia I have is the Mini and I always enjoy using it. Thank you for your videos. Best Wishes to you.
Thanks Stewart! I must confess that your early meals where superior to my own in the beginning. I have an idea to do a journey through my outdoor cooking from early youth and forward later in spring/summer so you can judge by yourself.
All the best, Cheers!
If you still want podcast comments....then yes I'd subscribe to your podcast. I listen to podcasts during the dark hours and your wonderful soporific tones would be very welcome.
I love the cooking videos.
Thanks for both your kind words and the feedback Wallace. The podcasts are a work in progress, a bit slower progress than I would like but eventually I'll get there. Cheers!
Really nice video sir as always, thanks for sharing the beautiful sights of such amazing land. Greetings from south america!
Thank you Daniel! Glad you enjoyed it. Cheers!
Should've given you a superthanks already when it first aired as it really was a lovely and relaxing time in the woods with the signature Redswede experience. It also made me sleep like a baby afterwards, so you really managed to make your own relaxed demeanor, the viewers too.
Thank you so much!! I'm glad that it was as relaxing that I hoped for. (and that it didn't put you to sleep during the video) ;) Cheers!
I was debating getting one of these to cook in the doorway of my TN Voyager but after seeing the flames I think I'll have to look for something else. Great video.
Thanks for watching John! The flame on the T25 and T27 aren't that bad, you can even use them in tents, just keep some safety distance to the nearest wall and don't flip the burner of course. Cheers!
Videos with guests. I particularly enjoy youths learning a craft that I'm afraid is going to fade away - by that I mean being in the woods as opposed to electronic engagement/focus.
Thank you Greg. My hope is that the young always will be interested in going outdoors, at least as long as their parents introduce them to it at an really early age. Cheers!
Very relaxing video before bed. Thanks so much as usual for sharing your adventures! I never listen to podcasts, but they seem to be quite popular. As long as we can get these wonderful videos on TH-cam from time to time, I'm more than happy. 😊
Thank you very much. My thought with the podcast was among other things to fill the gap in the winter time when the weather turns sour and it will be harder to film interesting content on a regular basis, but it's still very much on the "maybe" stage. Cheers!
level, level ,the secret to cooking.nice video
Thanks Bill, glad you liked it. Cheers!
It's funny to hear you mention a podcast, because my daughter thinks I'm an idiot for wanting to start doing a podcast as well as videos. The food looked good, but I'll just stick to shakshuka. In fact I made that Friday night on my trek, but forgot the flatbread at home 😂 it's that age showing again
I guess you just have to prove your daughter wrong then. As long as you're having fun while doing it you can't really go wrong. When it comes to forgetting things I'm not judging, after all I forgot the grip handle to my stove ;-)
Take care Chad and please let me know if you release something. Cheers!
Mexican for dinner and then Amundsen's favourite breakfast, there is no stopping you brother! BTW I am planning a bit of a shout out in a forthcoming video; for your timely input into my kit list - more soon! Keep em coming please!
On the breakfast front we're kindred spirits, but unlike Amundsen I have no urge to race over the polar regions ;) I look forward to your next installment from your road trip, that's something I have an urge to do again. Cheers my friend!
You should have showed cutting the egg yolk. Best part of Shakshouka. Apart from that magic as always.
I'll keep that in mind the next time. Thanks Dessie!
I enjoy your videos. If i were to make my own i feel that they would be very much like yours. I watched your video with the mac and cheese failure. I learned many years ago to always take some instant potato flakes with me. If you accidentally add too much water to your meal you can add some potato flakes to thicken it up and salvage it. Have a great day!
Thank you Zachary, that's high praise indeed. The idea with the potato flakes is worth considering. That can help me the next time I forget to think for myself. Cheers!
Great video, thank you. I'm not too familiar with podcasts but I do believe they are a very popular way of reaching an audience. Loved the look of that dish you made, another one for my list. Your hammock set up looked great. It has been something I have always wanted to try. Only problem I find is with cycle touring you can never be sure of trees when it comes to that time of day when your looking for somewhere to camp. Thanks again 😊
Thank you, Robert! I really like hammocks since it gives me one more option for camping. If there's no good trees I can put up my tarp like a tent and sleep on the ground, but if good trees are present I don't have to find a flat surface to sleep on. That can also be a pain to find, especially in the woods. Cheers!
That is a unique way of making chilaquiles, I'm of Spanish descent so I learned it from my mother, your ingredients are very similar but I like to throw some feta cheese on them or even sour cream, this was a very satisfying video ....kutgw
Thank you! The idea with feta cheese sound delishious, I'll have to try that the next time. Cheers!
What plate is that - It's a perfect fit
It is a titanium plate from Snow Peak, and for me it's a lucky fluke that it was such a good fit. I had no idea when I bought it, but I'm taking advantage of it for sure. Cheers!
@RedswedeOutdoors Snow Peak make quality gear, I might invest in one :)
När det är varmt på natten får jag nästan en lite klaustrofobisk känsla i hammocken, när det är svalare känns det bättre. Upplever du något sådant i hammocken?
Än så länge har jag inte märkt av någon klaustrofobi, om något snarare en tacksamhet att jag kan "svepa" in mig i hammocken för att hålla mygg och knott borta. Ha de' gott!
@14:45 that was me, on the cutting board
Oh, if I only knew I would have invited you to stay for dinner. ;-) Cheers!
@@RedswedeOutdoors haha, thanks anyway!
Trangia users do not have hair on the back of left hand!
That's so true, but I guess there some that test with their right hand aswell. Cheers Bill!
Hej, I love your videos.I want people to watch your channel. 😂45 minutes length means any people won’t view it. It’s a big investment of time
That is true and I'm grateful to all that make that investment. Cheers!
