      Just signed up for one with my family for my baseball career in the future and I really believe they do intend the best with the service but of course their is a business standpoint to it as which their has to be for them to make money, but they NCSA has a great program on their site and its all on you to put the effort in and get the content of your play and routine to upload that they request and then they professionally edit your videos so they stand out, and they did say the truth of it doesn’t guarantee scholarships and all the fancy parts but its the first steps towards that.

    • @JaavisFootball__1

      @@carterburke8831 Yeah totally! I mean I get the business aspect of it of course, I just think in a lot of cases (not NCSA specifically but more of this business as a whole) that it allows for more easy preying on kids who a lot of the time don’t have a lot of money to begin with and uses the ideal of getting a free education to give them more money. Again I understand there’s a business aspect, but I also feel that what they do as a business should already be done by someone like your coach, and if it isn’t being done, you either have to try and use whatever connections you have, or I guess you take a chance with the recruiting sites, but if you have good film, it’s hard to not get noticed a lot of times, there are rare cases of course. Anyways, I’ve talked enough, feel free to ask me or talk to me about anything else that you might want to know! Thanks for the response!

    FINALLY... someone not going, "NCSA is a scam... but MY services are what you need, here's how you sign-up!" haha But seriously, I can tell you're legit. With that said, recruiting back in the 90s was massively different but with my daughters in their sport, my 15 year old got onto varsity as a Freshman and she's solid enough to get good playing time... and my youngest who's 13, though, might be 'pretty elite' where she's scoring almost all of the goals on her team for the entire season but on the Club team, playing against 19 year olds. But, although in SoCal, the varsity team isn't that great compared to the big programs. They're getting far better training at the Club team... but, if nobody values the high school program, and the coach doesn't have connections, how can they be 'found' if there aren't newspaper headlines or recruiters coming out? Isn't a service really the only shot? That, or cold calling/emailing ADs, coaches, etc...?

    Thanks for the info. My personal opinion and experience with recruiting services is they have so many guys that did not get any attention in high school or simply wasn't good enough, so they zone in on them and their parents, Well because now they're desperate so they pay the money and there's literally Hundreds of kids paying for the service. If the service send their info to one coach they can say that they did their job. They're a RIP Off!!

      I mean thats kind of a straw man. Not every kid is D1 power 5 material. But there are schools beyond that. If youre a D2 kid, and youre just hellbent on power 5 and you dont look past that is that your fault or the services fault? Smaller schools very much rely on those services. NAIA in particular, as they simply do not have the budget to put into recruiting. NAIA schools have tons and tons of unclaimed scholly money yearly. If you want 1 school and 1 school only no recruiter in good faith can tell you they can get you there. If you want only d1 power 5 again noone in good faith can tell you they 100% can get you there. If you truly want to play sports in college and are actually open to opportunity. That's where services really come into play.

    • @JaavisFootball__1
      @JaavisFootball__1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The amount of difference between the recruiting of different sports can vary, and while soccer isn’t my direct expertise, the predatory model of the recruiting services offer, (where you in the best case scenario pay a lump of money now and get a scholarship in the long run) is still a predatory model whether it’s applied to football, soccer, hockey etc. the fact is imo that they cannot promise you a scholarship, and if you have talent, it is the job of you and your coach to try and get yourself out there to these different schools, however there MIGHT be some value in the services if you aren’t looking to go to a bigger university, simply because smaller universities are more abundant and you’re less likely to get into contact with every single one, but if you want to go big, I wouldn’t bet on the paid recruiting services personally (sorry about the essay lol)

      New Name Some vamps are definitely worth it, if your trying to get recruited then it’s hard to argue for the big D1 school camps, for the most part those are good for if you are looking to just learn and get better from the coaching you receive there, not necessarily be recruited unless you’re really really standing out, it might be better to go to a more local camp, and as far as showcases go, I would say you should only go to local ones, but don’t go out of your way to go to one unless there’s absolutely nothing else around you, and combines are mostly to show your athleticism and not really football skills, they might help if you get some killer numbers, but it’s not likely you’ll get recruited just from going to one of those

      I used to work at NCSA they are great but the material they have on offer for free is good enough. you're basically on your own with them anyway so use the free tools and be the captian of your ship. People buy the product and expect them to do the work and that isn't how they work. get activated in thier network (basically sit through a sales pitch, to get your profile verified) and youre off to the races. NCSA like all internet things are a marketing algorithm, the coaches who use it are "advertised" some athletes over others (how much you pay affects how much you're advertised) but do the outreach yourself and use thier free tools.

      If you mean the recruiting services, they promise increased exposure (which is somewhat true, although not really true because coaches don’t even really use the sites) and from that tell you your chances of getting recruited are increased tremendously if you just pay this ridiculous amount of money, all in all, not worth it
