    Pro tip. You can use ear protection with these such as the foam ear plugs or the combat style ones. I work in a manufacturing environment where the workers are allowed to listen to headphones. When the CNC is cutting loudly or someone is hammering...etc put ear plugs in. Fun fact, the headphones then sound much fuller and richer. Test it next time you have your Shokz on. Play your favorite track, then plug your ears with your pinky's. HUGE DIFFERENCE IN SOUND QUALITY!

    Totally with you regarding your view on Bone conduction for trail running or street running, No one should be running with headphones that block off the outside world. Not safe to run without hearing your surroundings. Love my Aeropex but you have me thinking of upgrading.

    I've used aeropex for years and after watching multiple videos comparing them I decided to go and buy the new open run pro . My opinion the aeropex sound better , they are louder and the sound is more rich and has better depth . With the open run pro in bass mode they don't get loud enough , if you choose vocal then they get louder but it loses sound depth, I had to download an EQ app that I paid $5 for to drastically improve the sound quality of the open run pro which boosted sound loudness with adding bass and the choice of multiple EQ settings . I was disappointed with open run pro for the only option of having 2 EQ settings when the aeropex has multiple choice EQ settings by holding down the audio + - I wouldn't buy the open run or open run pro I'd instead hunt down a brand new pair of aeropex instead.

    • @StephenJReid
      @StephenJReid  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting, I haven’t actually used the app as was very happy with the stock settings. I’m my testing I really did feel the Open run sounded better and haven’t had issues with the volume. Although I do mostly run in quieter outdoors environments

    What doesn't make any sense is if you go to Amazon the OpenRun (which is the upgraded version of Aeropex) is only $130.
    Where is the Aeropax is still $170.
    The difference between the OpenRun and the Aeropex is that the OpenRun has a faster charging time and a "improved 5.1 Bluetooth connection."
    As long as the Bluetooth connects I don't see how that makes any difference.
    The only reason I'm getting new ones is cuz my previous ones broke due to the Power button being stuck.
    So I think to combat this they made bigger better durable buttons on the OpenRun & OpenRun Pro series.
    Has anyone else had problems pressing the power button after 2 years of owning Aeropex?
    Share your thoughts and tell what you think about all of this.
    Civilly and respectfully of course! 😊

    There is one thing I don't like about the Open run pro. If you use these with your ears blocked, the extra bass diminishes the sound quality. If you block your ears when using the open run, the sound quality is flat and rich. If you do it while using the open run pro, the sound is bass heavy.

    i tend to wear my aeropexs for 8+ hours, right around hour 6 they start to get uncomfortable, my experience with these headphones in loud environments is not exactly amazing, but it was possible to hear with external sounds around 80-90db sounds, iacacoustics has a useful chart for comparing examples of noise levels, like a freight train going by about 50 feet away is about the max sound it can take before it becomes hard to hear clearly

    • @hellzbellz1234
      @hellzbellz1234 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the music blasting in my warehouse over the loudspeakers can sometimes drown them out, i wouldnt recommend these if you work on an airfeild but if you work in a shop you will be able to hear as long as your not using an impact in a wheel well or similair volumes, air comp might be hard to hear over

    Great video, but I'm interested to know if the downgrade from IP67 to IP55 is a problem, like in super heavy rain/sweat, and can you rinse to clean etc. I guess the new bass system has compromised water resistance

    • @BrianRPaterson

      IP performance is my biggest concern. I'm not not bothered by better bass, but I would appreciate an extra 2-hours of battery life, and the app might be useful.
      I am not planning to wear them in the shower. But, I ride in humid and sweaty weather.
      I guess I'll have to wait and see.

    Does the multi pairing work at the same time from both phones for Open Run Pro? I have the Aeropex. But it didn't work if the two mobile phones screen are open. I need to turn off the screen of one phone to hear the sounds playing from my other phone. But it is connect at the same time, I'll just need to turn off the screen on the other phone to work properly.Not like in my Plantronics Voyager both phone's Bluetooth are working same time even the two phone are open screen.

    Hi, I got the Aeropex about a year ago and thought they were great. My pup also thought they were a great toy and chewed them so I will be replacing.
