Thanks Andy for the great and detailed review, you really inspired us a lot with your perspective. 😀
thanks for including those audio samples! that really helped me decide 😊
No worries, thanks for watching 😊
Great comparisons and thanks for taking the time to produce and share with everyone. Great job!!!
Thank you for another excellent comparison, Andy! 👍
As always, I appreciate it Z 👍
Thank you. It's good to see reviews of someone trying the products... and this help me choose.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching 😊
Hi Andy, Thank you for making this video for undecided sports lovers, swimming is my favorite so I purchased Naenka🙌
That makes sense 😎👍
Thank you for your detailed review! Saved me a bunch of cash. Vibrating against skin is a definite no for me; and the sound leakage in an office is deal breaker. Thank you for covering those two items in your review! That was very helpful for my decision.
Glad to hear I could help. Thanks for watching ☺
Good review. Thanks. It is good to see a comparing table too.
Thanks, glad you found it useful 😊
As always, great video! I was wonder which one could be better for my walks while catching some Pokemons, you helped me a lot with this! 🙌🏼
And which one is the winner for you if you don’t mind me asking?
@@AndysTechTone No problem! I loved the Shockz, but I don't know if I'd pay 180 USD for the simple use I'll get of them, so the Haylou's are definitely the way to go.
@@AlexEscobedo good thinking 👍
Just needed to know which had the best bass and magnetic charging. All the rest was real good too. Thanks and great job on this video. Not many can actually give a real product assessment
Thanks, glad you found it useful
Incredible effort in the production. I see everyone at work with these on. I guess management doesn’t mind it.
Of course until I purchase some and wear them once
Haha, just don’t ruin it for everyone at work 😊
Thank you, very thorough reviews. (subscribed & like)
Thanks for the break down on the different brands!
No worries, thanks for watching 🙂
this is the best review for any product I've ever watched on TH-cam
Glad you think so 😊
Great review and comparison, appreciate it!
Glad to hear that, thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for the review, I have been using shockz pro for 2 years and I am greatly satisfied . I use for sports and business and have not complaints .
The Openrun Pro is indeed a great all rounder 👍
What an excellent review. Thank you very much!!
No worries, thanks for watching 😊
Very nicely done !
Hi Andy
Wow, while watching the different
videos You‘ve made, I always ask myself: Where did Andy learn all
that professional behavior?
Did he learn it at his place of employment? Not to forget, the special manner in which You record Your videos.
Last but not least, the proper share of humor.
UNIQUE & INCOMPARABLE
It’s just that I like doing this is all but thanks as always 🙏
Thank you for the non-biased review, I was about to buy the Shoks openrun pros before watching your video, I decided to go with the Haylou's instead due to the better price and the higher ip rating because I sweat a lot.
You can sweat all over the Haylou it’ll be all right 😎
Great review thank you
good comparison, pretty useful, thank you!
Glad you found it useful, thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for the review. I’m training for my first ironman and gotta get something to make the swim more exciting!
Some good tunes can make a difference after the first few Ks in the pool for sure…
I just found you in the "Best Sport Earbuds" video, and I absolutely love all of your videos!
I don't have a lot of offer, but if you have a patreon or something, I would love to support you the best I can
Thanks, I really appreciate it 😊 but I don't have Patreon yet
Great complete review.

Nice job . Im looking for a pair my wife can use. I bought the JBL Sports but It irritates her inner ear after a while . She has a audio processing disorder and Im hoping bone conduction will be a good fit .
I was going for the Shokz Pro until I saw your video . I think she would rather have no vibration. So I probably give the Haylous a try . She's not a bells and whistles person and neither will she spend this amount of money on herself but I want to have what's best her.
Me on the other hand, I'm similar but I prefer wired /wireless headphones . I have to use hook over the ear or they will just fall out. Do you know how any of these do with the drop test? A lot of times I have them resting around my neck and when the dress shirt comes off, I hear a noise on the floor .😮
It happens more than I want . I imagine these will be more snug around my neck but I was curious . Thanks for your input and thank you for videos.
An important consideration concerning the microphone quality: while the initial purpose of the Shokz headphones is exercise I've been meeting more and more Management/Sales/Self-employed people who use them as their main communication tool for calls/meetings as it allows them to keep them on all the time and still be able to communicate face to face due to their ears not being blocked. As such, it might not be a bad idea to consider this use case for future comparisons as I'm noticing it become more and more common.
Mic quality tests are at the end of the video
Bingo
Thanks for your extensive review sir appreciate you😊
No worries, thanks for watching 😊
Thank you for the review Andy. I’m looking to buy a pair for swimming. Which one would you recommend since the Naenka is no longer available? Thank you!
I’ll make a swimming headphones comparison soon
Couldn't understand why you kept turning your head in the traffic test until I realized you're making sure you get the sound from your voice and outside noises from multiple angles. Love when reviewers actually take the time to do proper details like that. 👍
Yeah, when you walk on the street you probably turn your head a lot without realising it. Or at least that's what I do 😊
Andy, 5-star review! While wearing my hoodie snugly, I've noticed an improvement in bass... I ended up buying winter ear-cups/bags and, woo hoo!! Inexpensive and worth a try, they may even help to get you out in colder weather to review "my" G7 headset :)
The tighter the fit the better the bass, that's true
Thank you, a very good review that helped me to decide what to buy.
So what did you end up buying if you don’t mind me asking?
@@AndysTechTone I have decided to go with the Mojo 2, my last two pairs have been shokz. I like the slide volume control feature, I find the buttons too difficult to operate.
@@moepar604 good choice 👍
Really well done. Thank you!
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching! 😊
Great video. Man, trying to pinpoint your accent. Where from?
Good review!
Thanks 😊
This was very useful. Köszi!
Great review. I am on my third set of Shokz, and like them. The two negatives are likely the same on all models. First, that strap behind the neck/head is a pain in the car or on the couch. If they could somehow solve that, maybe through a range of sizes, that would be great. The second thing is high wind on the road bike. I have tried a lot of things. absolutely nothing works in 25 mph wind. In fact i was amazed at how loud a test with just foam ear plugs in was. Apparently the wind hits the devices and makes them into a speaker/amplifier of the wind.
Which ones can be programed to have a different sound profile from a hearing aid test profile, or to function as hearing aids in microphone amplifier mode for moderate hearing loss?
Not sure if any of these can be programmed to function as a hearing aid
I'm going to try Cat-Ears Classic Cycling Wind Noise Reducer for wind noise while biking. I bought an e Bike and at 15 mph my ears hurt. I have to turn my head to get a break from wind noise, let alone hear a podcast with one earbud in... so hopefully these goofy looking Cat-Ears work.
i think that you will find that they work fairly well to about 15-17mph, then not so much. having fairly tight helmet straps makes a big difference.@@DavidMatterall
Thanks for the reply. Is there anything that works to cut down wind noise above 15 mph? @@larryseibold4287
Great info and video, thank you
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for replying 🙂 your probably right I bought on temu so is cheap but does the job to get a good idea if you want and will use. 😊I've just found a Philips set for 47 which I think is a great price. 👍
best reviews channel!
Thanks man 😊
Great comparison again Andy, Im wondering what you would think of a budget set of "Air" conduction. Let me kow what you think of this model. "Sports Earphones Truefree F1 Open-Ear Bluetooth Headphones with ENC Noise-Cancellation Mic Air Conduction Wireless Headset for Workouts and Running, 11 Hours of Music, with Headband" Cheers. P.S. Beautiful production value, OMG.
The Truefree F1 is a great option for the money
Can you recommend some earbuds for bedtime audiobook listening? Needs to sound good and most of all, have as little static noise as possible.
ANC would be a plus, but not required. Don't like stem style. Budget friendly preferred.
Sony WF-C500 or 1More Colorbuds 2 maybe
Thanks for the comparison. How is the weight distributed for the swimming one? Is it going to be heavier over time compared to the others when not used during swimming?
You won’t notice much of a difference in weight in the long run I believe
On a debate which one to select after a dead-without-reason Aeropex - incredible review with almost scientific standards! Thank sincerely
Glad you liked it ☺
Good Review!!!
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching 🙂
Great video!
Thanks man, glad you liked it 😊
I honeslty work in a quiet environment and i listen to metalcore music like the band 'War of Ages'. And i just want a good pair of bone conducting headphones that keep the sound pretty good. What do you think?
Andy, when anyone asks be about my headsets, I share your channel. I do want to ask for clarification regarding your comments about sound leakage. I agree that volume matching between sets resembles art. You mentioned placement on ears makes a difference. Isn't leakage actually sound that bystanders can hear...Do you use a rubber bust for testing :) ?
I believe I must have menioned placement only in relation to volume and sound you can hear yourself. Sound leakage is exactly what you said and yes I use a headphone test rig. Even though I cannot really measure leakage, so it’s rather just my ears and perception of that leakage I can rely on when making comparisons
The TechnicSys SEAHORSE Naneka is the best I have tried. Thank you.
Nice video. I think Openrun Pro is very good, I have one myself. Used at home, it performs well, with excellent sound quality and wearing experience. But its low waterproof level limits its usage scenarios. So, I bought a Wissonly Hi Runner, which is IPX8 waterproof and has two playback modes(Bluetooth and MP3 mode). This allows it to be used in many scenarios, such as running, swimming, surfing, hiking, etc. Whether you have a phone or not, you can use it to listen to music.
Is the Wissonly an X18pro?
Does anyone know if any of these can be used to amplify ambient noise like the Walker brand variant does?
I’m looking for the best microphone and best noise cancelling. What do u recommend?
Do you mean environmental noise cancelling during phone calls? You can listen to the audio samples in the video and decide which one you prefer
So getting the shokz openrun pro for under a 100 US dollars is an amazing deal. GREAT I don’t feel bad for order this set now.
That's a great deal indeed!
Finally got a chance to try the Haylou for myself. I was surprised.. I heard no sparkle along with the missing bass. I got virtually nothn' but mids... and the eye-crossing soundstage like the Shokz... I guess our ears ARE different :)
Do any of these stand out as being best at blocking out wind noise? For reference I won't be listening to any music. I will be wearing ear plugs and using these to hear people talking.
My experience is with aftershocks I think open, move. And inductives open ear duet. I have taken phone calls while running a press kicking out product every 30 seconds with very good clarity using the aftershocks. And eat plugs in. But with the inductives open ear duet I can't hear very well with the windows open on the highway. Ear plugs with the open ear duet blocks the sound from your headphones as the shocks music quality goes up with ear plugs
Loved my OpenCom Pro's for WFH. I purchased the OpenRun Pros for everyday use! The boom mic on the OpenCom has exellent AVC, which makes it great for WFH phone and virtual meetings.
Thank you so much!
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching! 😊
Hi I do have a pair to try out only costing me£6 but thinking of upgrading now so for me I think mojo2 or haylou??? Only use when going out and about shopping etc. Do you think I'm right in my choice sir thanks😊
I don't really know what a £6 headset can do but I'm sure an upgrade is well worth it in the long run.
Please guide me,
For audio call, music and virtual meeting.. which one recommend?
Shokz - OpenComm Noise-Canceling Bone Conduction has a boom mic that sticks out front.
Can you tell something about bone conduction headphones from PHILIPS? For example, Philips AA6606
I have never used any Philips bone conduction headphones so not sure how they would compare to those in this test
Thank you!
No worries, thanks for watching 🙂
HI. AN EXTREMELY WELL CONDUCTED & PRESENTED VIDEO. IF YOU KEEP THIS UP YOU ARE BOUND TO GET MANY MORE SUBSCIBERS. GOOD LUCK 😊. SO IT’S THE HAYLOU FOR ME..🎉
Thanks man, much appreciated 😊
I would love to see a review done for the normal person who had hair that may not be pulled up for athletic purposes. I have long hair and am concerned about how sticky they will be and grabbing my hair to put on and off as well as the hair causing swishing noise because it grazes the earphones. Please.
So you are suggesting that I am no “normal person” 🤔
Haha not even close ...just suggesting that not only runners might want to use these earphones.
I have long curly hair. Use in an office environment No sound issues. Can be a bit of a pain getting caught in my hair but its manageable, for me. Edit:I have the shokz.
Thanks!
I listened to your whole video with haylou.
Good stuff 👍
OpenRun Pro is the only one that connects to two phones at the same time........best for those who have a work phone and personal phone and desire a dual connection.
Should have saved the URL but saw Andy in a video ad for some bone conduction earphones. He was exercising while wearing the earphones. Hopefully, the creator has his permission to use his likeness.
I’ve seen some fake ads that use my footage without my permission. I reported it a couple of times but not sure what happened after…
@@AndysTechTone If it pops up again I’ll let you know. It was on Facebook. The earphones were red, if that helps.
@@treadman26 yep, that’s the same one. I told Shokz about it too as its actually their product I’m using but the advertiser claims its something else entirely. That’s the world we live in…
So, what do you mean vibration? Never used one before dont know specifically what it means
The vibration, the resonances that come from the bone conduting speaker kind of tickles your skin especially with strong bass. It’s hard to describe as it’s such a unique sensation
Have you tried any for downhill skiing with goggles and helmet?
No, I have not.
Good video but I only came here for mic comparisons. A better comparison would have been inside a really loud big truck, and included other OpenComm-esc variants.
I reckon that you got plenty mic comparisons in this video. If that's not enough then I suggest you look up "mic tests inside loud trucks" and watch all the videos that pop up...
Do you know of any WIRED bone conduction headphones?
Interesting concept but I don’t know any
Is there any set that can b used for swimming that can b play forward and rewind on the same track ? I cant understand why they dont bring that function
If you listen to podcasts for example the skip forward/backward function tends to jump forward/backward within the same track. It’s a matter of how the app/player/software is set up and not necessarily the fault of the headphones only
@@AndysTechTone thnks man
@@AndysTechTone would u recommnd h2o audio PRO multi tri?
@@santiagosaenz-fp5hn never used them
Can you let me know which one is best for wearing laying down or sleeping.
Since all these have a neckband I don’t think that sleeping with them would be the best idea
@@AndysTechTone I usually sleep prone and can cradle my head appropriately. I wear them like a stethoscope when I'm on my back. The mini version confirmed that I have a small head and does indeed allow more wiggle room... Low volume, low leakage, happy wife :)
Need to have a water proof phone as well when swimming?
Which microphone sounds the best while riding a bicycle fast
Neither of them…
Cheers Mate
No worries, thanks for watching 😊
The only phone call worthy headset appears to be openrunner according to your tests. The others can only be considered functional in quite a different category such as headphones.
It is a bit strange, I have h bc01 , and indoor mic quality sounds like significant better
I love my opencomm2 for its long battery life. Considering open run to use while sleeping because there is no boom mic to break
How'd you sleep with a neckband?
@@AndysTechTone it is so flexible and close to neck, I sleep easily with both on. Even rolling on side with side of head on pillow, I sleep like a baby. But the mic will break on opencom
@@tedc6694 I only wish I could do that too 😊
The Mojawa sound great and I was really sold on them 100% except for the dealbreaker, the touch volume control. Too bad!
How about battery when battery dri can't change why?
There is only a handful of over-ear headphones on the market with (easily) replaceable batteries but not a single bone conduction headset that I know of
top review
Glad you liked it, thanks for watching 🙂
I use the Openrun Pro myself as an overnight BHT in a hospital. It's excellent in the quiet environment where I need to keep my hearing free to listen for my patients.
One minor con that is only bad in a niche case (as no one in any normal circumstance would use it for gaming) but I've found a few pc games that try interacting with the microphone as the headphones and totally mess up the audio.
I don't think that PC gaming is a use case these headphones were designed for...
What about phone call quality?
You should have watched the video to the end...
I am very sad, because of you I bought two times this headphones. And the 2 times it had been defectfull. Play and pause button doesn't work after 1month
Which one are you talking about?
Then it was necessary to compare shokz: Open run, swim
Bro...those mics were all terrible. What the....thanks for the review might not be getting these after all.
Making phone calls is not their primary feature I'm afraid
I have a pair of Aeropex and they're a decent product. The audio quality isn't brilliant but it's a lot better than I expected and I'm an audiophile. I have to say Shokz customer support js pretty awful though. I have an minor issue with mine and they just don't respond to emails.
Once we are unpaired from a phone you will not able to paired again.
open run pro is junk sounds like old am radio. waste of money do not buy
No.
S+ Bone Conduction Bluetooth Headset (Enjoy Life), will not charge and they are no good coming from Amazzon; it the worst deal ever made, they don't charge
The Shokz OpenRun Pro is hands down the best bone conduction headphones that money can buy, but of course you'd prefer something else over them. Typical TH-camr BS.
Just because our opinions differ it doesn’t mean mine is bs. And I also assume you used them all just as extensively as I did to come to such a sophisticated conclusion…
I disagree. I have both the OpenRun and the OpenRun Pro. The non pro version, IMO, sounds better, both for music or spoken audio. I'm in the market for something waterproof now hence why I'm here.
@@atillatekin7030 I’ll be testing and comparing some fully waterproof bone conduction headphones soon if interested…
perfect
short and sweet 😎
