I am using aeropax and best advantage for this tech is phone conversations. During speaking with phone, hearing your own voice with uncovered ears are the best experience for me. And i can wear them all day long without noticing them.
18 minute video! Great review! I have had an Openrun Pro before, and I think it is very suitable for running and has a great wearing experience. However, its low waterproof performance also limits its usage scenarios. I later used the Wissonly Hi Runner, which can be used in swimming, running, boating, cycling, hiking and other scenarios, and it is very practical.
The lower water resistance is due to the open mesh at the front of each pod which is a way of enhancing the bass performance. I think that the "pro" in the name refers to enhanced sound performance (and additional runtime), not to any enhanced sports-related capabilities. A bit to the contrary, in fact.
I love my Aeropex. Last years for me. Not a fan of that underwater feeling with in-ear headphones when running where I hear the thump of my feet. The sound is fine for me and I like hearing my environment. I would, though, love to see a comparison between these and Sony's new Linkbuds which are a more open design in terms of how they feel to a runner.
do you hear the thump? dang. I ditched my inears because that thump was just unbearable. ordered bone conduction shokz in hope of remedy of this problem.
@@Alph92 Yes definitely. I could not stand that with normal headphones. This definitely does the trick. You should be pretty happy with them unless you want amazing sound. But I think they are fine for running.
My favorite features of the aftershokz lineup is actually the ease to just move them to your neck and forget about them without fear of losing them. I’d happily go for in-ear BT headphones with the neat titanium loop that makes this possible. Is there any that you know of??
The percentage of battery left is rounded to the nearest 20% and I can't think it's linear so judging total battery life by the drop off in three hours isn't going to be accurate. Otherwise an excellent review 👍
In summery you're saying someone like me who is happy running with the powerbeats pro and considering these for some special runs I should not bother because I'll be dissapointed in the sound quality? 🤔
I'm looking for a quality bone-conduction headset to use with my Bluetooth-enabled Samsung smart TV (UN49KU7000F). The TV has no way to modulate the volume. Can Beatolo do this?
Does the multi pairing work at the same time from both phones for Open Run Pro? I have the Aeropex. But it didn't work if the two mobile phones screen are open. I need to turn off the screen of one phone to hear the sounds playing from my other phone. But it is connect at the same time, I'll just need to turn off the screen on the other phone to work properly. Not like in my Plantronics Voyager both phone's Bluetooth are working same time even the two phone are open screen.
I am not a massive fan of bone conduction headphones, I do appreciate that they are brilliant for keeping you aware of your surroundings but I want to hear the music or podcast that I'm listening to and they just don't work for me when you take that into account
Poor durability! I've had the older model for less than 2 years and I'm on my 3rd, that's right, 3rd warranty repair! I take care of these and the buttons fail, the charging fails and the transducer has come loose so it sounds like a bee in your ear. I do like them, when they work but they are very cheaply made for what they cost.
Unfortunately I don't think Aftershokz will ever improve the sound quality to match closed earbuds due to the nature of bone conduction earphones. I'd rather just listen to music with one bud in one ear, & the other open when running.
You can actually put these in your ears if you want it louder just wear it rests behind the ear put it in there also you won't have hearing problems when you're older
@@Mike232-j2p between my workout music sounding like shit & going deaf, I prefer the latter. And I certainly wouldn’t pay _that_ much for shitty-sounding music
Have you tried wearing custom concert/ musician ear plugs? It kind of deafeats the point, except you're playing at the lower volume, with a flat frequency response
Operun Pro's are not worth the money if you have the Aeropex already. The sound sounds distant which makes you put up the volume more. The Sony Linkbuds has better sound quality, but less "openness" feeling than the Shokz because it's still in your ear even though it lets in ambient sound.
I use these, well worth every penny compared to other headphones.

Still using my titaniums last forever best brillant design worth the investment.
Yeah, im still using my titaniums and wonder if this would be any upgrade at all...
I am so glad for this. It such a to the millimeter useful review for someone who never used aftershokz.
I completely agree. I have sent mine back. It isn't worth the asking price.

The Plantronics Backbeat Fit 2100 are similarly connected.
@@baileybudlong3655 awsome! That’s exactly what I needed
There is much talk about the 10 hour battery life on the pro but what about standby time - thanks
I just find the open run frustratingly quiet with or without bass enhancement. Haven’t tried the pro yet. Is it any louder?
Oh you answered that haha thanks.

Think the big thing with these as they comply with UK athletics to wear them on races

Can I upload music into it?
After finishing an activity can the open run pro be rinsed under a water tap?
They're IP67, so should be completely waterproof
It is a Bluetooth speaker?
So. Only reason to get them from my perspective would be for the very occasional race, I don’t do that many, when I couldn’t wear in ear buds.

have you tried these? they sound exactly the same as normal ear phones. That is the reason they are so popular.
Not sure how these are better than the Aeropex, the Aeropex has 10 hours battery & Ip67 rating . better price wise
hi, i have the aeropex worth upgrade to openrun pro?
Probably not. The differences are battery life and it's slightly lighter. Sound improvements are negligible.

18 minutes of review and no mention of the mic quality, that was one of the major drawback of the older aeropex model.
