It gives me board patterns that I can recognise and then try and remember how to finish the game. As an older player, I don't enjoy all of your bro like humour which sometimes comes through, but it doesn't detract from the quality of your videos either.

I often see this 2. e5 move (I am only rated 800 with a peak of just over 1,000) and I find it annoying…. It gets me out of any prep and ideas I have I feel that come with the Caro, and there is no refutation to it, engine says it’s just fine…. Anyways, if you are able to answer me this, what do I do in this situation. 1. e4 c6 2. e5 ? I’ve tried turning it into an advance with 2…. d5 but they like en passant and again, throws me off a lot, suggestions?

as a e4 player, playing against the caro iss one of the most difficult openings to not lose and actually gain a advantage in. (I'm 2000 rapid)
