The calmness with which Alex has 5s on the clock left and his opponent has like 2mins. And then calmly follows several more moves, pensively explained along the way, and suddenly his opponent resigns due to the sudden pressure and blundering a move. Mind blowing.
People understand the danger of being in time trouble and blundering, but they often overlook that if their opponent is in time trouble and they move fast as a way to take advantage, they're also playing under time pressure and might themselves blunder! If you have an increment and get good at playing on your increment you can save a lot of games this way. And if you have a time advantage... try to make good moves. You op can think on your move, but they're playing a half move behind so your time advantage still works.
A Banzea video. The most anticipated piece of content in the chess TH-cam landscape. Get it while it’s hot folks. Btw love the 5 min games, especially for those of us that have been following you for a while, the opening is automatic but i always walk away with new middlegame ideas.. thanks as always
Absolutely loving the Jobava london, I first discovered your channel by searching for caro kann videos and decided to give the good old Jobava a shot and I'm glad I did because it's easily mty favourite opening, Thanks for the great content man!
Been loving the introductions with the highlight positions of each game! Makes it much easier to learn from them as it prepares me for the lines to come :) hope to see this continue!
Alex, I just found your channel. I'm 1800 on lichess and I play d4 and the caro. This content is perfectly suited to my level. It's really great man, the focus on middle game plans is so, so useful. Most people just focus on theory. I really appreciate the work dude.
I hope you don’t mind that on payday tomorrow I am buying your chessable course for both myself and my son Greyson.. hopefully you honor the buy one and share free with your 4yr old deal. You’re the best teacher on YT!!!
I cant wait for your course, in the meantime ive been watching your vids on it and been using James Canty's course to hold me over. I got both your london and Caro course.
Waiting for your Jobava London course, I had purchased the Caro-Kann (61% win rate with it), and now just by learning from your videos on the London I have also over (59% win rate with it). Thanks for the great work, cannot wait for the JBVL from Alex!
I want to confess that I watch other streamer for a while and then my rating is plummeting. Now I need to rewatching all of your jobava, london, and kid videos to recapture my rating back. Thx for the amazing vid as always
I'm definitely finding your pawn storm idea the easiest to play so far. I'm still struggling with early bb4 pin and pawns to c5. Hopefully I can get better but all these videos are amazing to watch. Love the late game tactics too.
I love how at 52:20 you talk about if he had played a "better move" Ne8 while on screen the engine is telling us the original move Nf7 was actually the best move
Been a while since I visited your channel. Your Jobava games are solid gold mate, really instructive. I learned the London from watching you a couple of years ago, but have ventured into e4 territory to widen my repertoire, but I’m back for those cheapos baby!!! (Edit: Holy shit, I didn’t realise how much your channel has grown! Congrats my man, well earned, your work ethic is unbelievable!). 100K soon :)
Alex i had my coach says that jobava London is not that of a great opening cuz knight on c3 with bishop on F5 isn't great ,it makes me start to not wanting to play jobava London but I really like this opening 😭
@AlexBanzea I've improved from 1100-1600 rapid from watching your videos. Could you show a game with Jobova vs the Grundeld? The pawn on D5 screws up the KID line and I feel like my Jobova Knight is blocking my C pawn. Also how to deal with the immediate pin on your Jobova knight. I didn't know if there are a lot of people playing the Jobova, so people know how to play against it, but it feels like I rarely get the pawn storm or KID, and it just ends up being like a London where my knight is misplaced. Thanks!
Good opening. Has worked a couple of times for me. However, all of hes winning comes from tactical awareness. That game 3 tactics with the 2 knights was nasty
Alex, great videos and instruction! Is your Jobava course going to be on Chessable? Also, how would you say it is going to compare to Canty's Jobava course??
Just found your video.. You can beat Gotham after this.. i mean on TH-cam, on cheesboard you gonna have to prove it.. hehe.. you have the credibility to be the best youtuber chess content creator. Keep it up.
Another banger of a video. Good stuff. I've transitioned from playing the english to the Jobava exclusively over the last year. I have many thousands of games in the Jobava. I've beat many 2000+ players with it. I like how it makes some very wild and unconventional type of positions. I wish I could chat with you a bit about it. Curious, what do you think about Danya's Jobava course and ideas? I have yet to buy it, so I can't make a full assessment, but it has a few key ideas that differ. For example, in the pawn storm with Bf5, they recommend to get the knight to d5 FIRST before pawn storming. I've attempted this, but find myself less successful(but it could be I'm just gleaming the ideas off videos where he touches on it). I don't typically buy chessable courses anymore, not a fan of the repetitive move trainer(it turns my brain off), but I will almost certainly buy yours if it's loaded with videos. I have two very specific positions I encounter once in awhile in the Jobava, that just wreck me. Wish I could pick your brain about them. I recently experienced it against a WGM and now again today against a random. Anyways, thanks for all the great content and training material :)
Thanks for another great lesson. Overall which one do you think is stronger? jobava london or vienna? I have been playing a lot of vienna games and its incredible how far ahead you get if the oponent takes the gambit in the begining.
Any pre-order or kickstarter for your course? Just watching (and trying to learn from) your videos has improved my rating by about 200 Elo (from a very low level). I'll definitely buy the course.
Alex thanks for the games - i like the " going to the store in flip flops " part. sadly, i remember all your jokes and that is how i know if i am re-watching a video.
Alex can you make more videos on facing the Kings or Queens Indian when we start with the Jobava London Setup? Recently I feel like I'm facing them more and more.
I would really like to see something like a c4 f5, Nb3 Nf6, but for you that never comes up, and that is all I get. I am not sure Jobava works for this opening because it is superior or just because players with this kind of defense are special.
Thank you for this video!! I’m teaching my 4 year your Jobava system and we have been waiting for another video!!! Any suggestions for chess parents from your experience would be awesome content as well! Thank you for all your content and God Bless!!
Great stuff as usual and looking forward to your Jobava course. I'm wondering if you could do a video on the 4....Bd6 line where Nxd6 gives white the bishop pair (the usual recommendation). I see this more than any other response by black and find it difficult to come up with a concrete plan despite having the 2 bishops. Thanks!
@@AlexBanzea Yes, I've watched that game. Just doesn't seem that a lot of players play that against you. Maybe we'll see a few more examples of the Bd4 line in future videos. Thanks again!
@@BoomaOhDet I know, but it's not a proble, and also you cant avoid it if they start 1.d4 d5 2.Nc3 e6 3.Bf4 Bb4, so you must know 4.e3 wether you like it or not :D
"Hey babe, Alex Banzea just dropped a new video in the Jobava Londan... you know, the opening I played 3 nights ago and you wanted me to come to bed. "Ok" "Yeah, it's an hour long, Alex my boy." *has a big smile* Actual conversation, I think she likes you too Alex. Pin.
Ive spent a day reviewing your Jobava London videos. Today so far I am 27 -7 - 1draw and have climbed 138 rating points in 5 min rapid. I played the accelerated london for some time so I had somewhat of a base knowledge. Just wanted to let you know that there has been a positive experience with your teaching...."and chicks." LOL JK. About the chicks not the positive ratings. Peace.

Alex I love you and I play caro because of you and trying out london but I still love the queen gambit but for all of us please shave ( I will also shave from now on )
Hello, It would be nice to have a game plan. If I am white than I always play Jobava and it does not matter what the response is. And if I am black than e4-c6 Caro-Kann and d4- e5 slav defense. Am I right so far?

Exactly! With funny and clever observational analogies to go with his repertoire

Hey, thanks for great video, You have viewers from all over the world, greetings from Poland !
Well, I'm usually panicking for you when you're down to 7 seconds mid-game, but you certainly have it all under control.

This has become my favorite opening. But i still mess up the middle game too much. Leaving me with a 50-50 win lose rate.
But. I shall get there
love those videos. So much positive energy
