Hi Alex! Does Communication Coach Academy provide a platform to upper-intermediate English learners as well, who want to practice their spoken English? Looking forward to your answer...
I am family therapist and individual counselor, and more than once I have referenced you in regards to effective and healthy communication. The biggest reasons I reference you is because you are a non-therapist using communication skills that a therapist might teach, but the bigger reason is... because you provide access to free material that is from an expert. Thank you sir.
I’m from Mexico and I came here in 1998 when I was 20 years old. I didn’t go to school in Mexico not even the first grade and when I came here I went to a private school to learn English. I love to learn from people like you because I like to be a leader and I know I need to learn how to write ✍️ better. 🙏🙏🙏 I will check if I can take one of your courses 🙏🙏
Thank u so much 4 your tutorials. As a musician, singer, performer there is always room 4 improvement & growth. In life communication can help immensely 2 transform one’s path & convey the mind, heart & soul. Much appreciated. Once again thank u 4 sharing your knowledge, expertise & skills.
I'm a newbie learning English and you're totally right, sometimes people enjoy impressing others using fancy vocabulary as you mentioned it before, I think that specific speech is not natural and fluent because you don't speak in that way in your native language, that's why we have to speak in natural and fluent way in order to other understand what we're saying. I really appreciate your help and support! God bless you.
I am an IT executive and I came across your video. Simple, practical, no non-sense, common sense tips that everyone can follow. Convinced me to subscribe to your channel and also made me take a look at your website.
Thank you for the positive feedback. I've worked with a lot of IT professionals and they say similar things about my videos and lessons. I appreciate it.
Lesson #5- On volume and emphasis. I teach adults, but I'm outside all day. I've learned to speak the same way as a musician plays an instrument. Music needs to move and be alive. A speaking voice needs to do the same. Not a steady monotone volume. Change keeps the audiences attention. The power of the "pause" is so important. When I'm presenting a new thought, I create a pregnant pause, and usually drop my voice volume significantly. Just as in music, change is key to keeping the message alive.
Thanks Alex, I taught public presentation skills in China for 5 years and shared some of your methods with my university students. You are an excellent communication coach!
No Speaker knows it all; so we all can learn from others as I have with you Alex. Thank you! I happen to be a Speaker for Gideons International and speak about every other week. Practice makes perfect, for sure; but practicing wrong only makes it less effective. Learning better ways of being persuasive makes me a more effective Servant of our Great God. I learned a lot from just this 5 part Series! Thank you so very much! And may God further your work and influence! Elbert Hardy, Speaker and Podcaster.
I was recommended this course and I'm blown away by how much I learned in less than an hour! I have a bad habit of using "flowery" text and speaking too quickly, and your simple yet effective tips will help me sound more confident and engaging. Thank you for sharing this info! 😄
Thank you so much for the tips! Several times during group meetings I am not heard during my speaking turn. I plan to start leveraging these tips during my next meeting and practicing frequently to increase my confidence when communicating with others.
this series was perfect for what i needed. i am very a personality and i struggle to communicate well. i am very knowledgeable in my filed, but either run on sentences, or simply have a hard time structuring my sentences. thank you
I found your five lectures very interesting and very helpful, you have an excellent way of teaching and your skill in communication is very competent and graceful ,Thank you and God bless.
The breakdown of each skill, plus tips on speaking with conviction, makes this an excellent toolkit for leaders and team players alike. Thanks for sharing such a comprehensive, accessible resource!
I-10 to find a way to use words that convey more precisely what I intend to say, there are many examples of this throughout the day. Both words might suffice but one is a more close depiction of something subtle you're trying to express. I often find myself trying to use simpler words when a word that first came to mind more succinctly conveys the thought
Your video hits home for me! I've had my fair share of encounters with jargon-wielding managers too. Your tips on clarity and the signpost method are invaluable. Looking forward to more gems from you!
Thank you, I listened to the end and it's very informative as I just joined a Toastmasters Club as a new member to learning the art and skills of Public Speaking.
This is great information! I presented on something recently. Growth wise I could definitely communicate more clearly in bullet points next time. :) Thanks for sharing! God bless!
You're not supposed to download TH-cam videos. By some definitions, that's not legal. But the great thing about TH-cam is, you can watch the videos as many times as you like for free so there's no reason to ever download the videos.
@@alexanderlyon thank you. I really enjoyed your How to clearly and concisely communicate video series. I guess it’s not just interviews; it’s two-way communications, like over the voice phone or over video Internet. There are many videos trying to coach on this, but nothing that I encountered is convincing or effective (most likely because of my own ignorance). I’ve recently encountered the 8-37-55 rule of communication, and it makes some sense to me, as I can see words, voice and body language play collectively to carry true meanings, but I’m not so sure about this exact ratios. In today’s virtual communications, whether it is over the voice phone or over video Internet, the ratios of words, voice and body for sure would be different. Just wonder what you take on this subject? :)
