- East Idaho News Director, Nate Eaton, and his team of newsroom elves help a Secret Santa spread Christmas all over the state during the holiday season. Today, the Tam Fam has an exclusive with the latest Secret Santa recipient, Susan. The Idaho teacher is about to get the surprise of a lifetime!

Aside from secret santa being a literal angel, there truly couldn't be someone better to present these gifts than Nate. Having watched this series for many years now, there is no one more understanding, soft spoken, encouraging, bright, vibrant, welcoming, articulate and so much more than Nate. I wish there was awards to recognize outstanding journalists like Nate. He truly is an all time great.

For those that have not seen the original video, Susan's husband has cancer and is out of work and the transmission was going out on her old car. So not only is Susan just an amazing, dedicated teacher, but she's going through a lot right now.

I get tears in my eyes every time I watch Nate and his team of elves. This secret Santa is the best, giving and not wanting to be in the spotlight. A very humble man who deserves much respect.

I have followed Nate and Secret Santa for some years now and I will continue. When you watch the news or msm it's all about hate and violence. As a change, it makes you feel good to see an anonymous person giving away presents to the right people in the right time. It's not about some famous or rich person standing in the spotlight, it's about a person with a big heart and hard working people in a rough situation. I hope you will respect that this Santa prefers to be secret.

A few years ago, when my and my sister's children were really young, someone paid off my mom's layaway at the store. It was such a blessing for her, she still talks about it to this day. You never know how much something like that can mean to someone. I hope I can be a secret santa someday

I've learned the hard way to not watch these videos in public but at home underneath the covers where I can ugly cry, because I ALWAYS DO! Each one gets me without fail.
I just started last week watching this EastIdaho SS and I love it. And people it doesn't have to be a check for 5K or a car, it can be whatever you can do to help someone. A mini Christmas tree on a neighbors front porch even. It really is about someone knowing they were thought about.
Nate is such an incredible soul! I’m so happy he’s the one doing this every year! He totally has a gift of disarming people in the most beautiful of ways!
I’ve been watching Nate delivering for Secret Santa for years. I knew it was a male but I hadn’t heard the story about the secret toy gift. We always knew Secret Santa had a generous heart.

Thank you Tamron for having this show. I have been looking at Nate and his crew for some time now. I watch the presentations with a tissue ! The generosity of The Secret Santa is beyond belief. Too, the criteria for rewarding the recipients is touching. In my country, second to owning a house is owning a car. For instance, a car like a 2021 Hyundai Tucson can cost about US$ 50,000 or more. So to us, these are BIG gifts given by a person with a big heart.The multi-millionaires in my country do not have those kinds of hearts. I hope that The Secret Santa can keep giving for more years to come, and that Nate Eaton continue to be the wonderful custodian he is. Much respect and love to all. Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies.

Nate is the BEST I went to their area Driggs and Madison County for medical help DR Barkdull and I can say the people are the kindest and sincere. Great that Nate is getting a bit of attention , he and his team do fabulous work. They make the season a bit brighter for all of us!!!
