We used to have a teens telenovela here in Brazil with the younger, primary school age student hanging around, it felt so out of place because there were all kinds of parties, teen drinking and pregancy scares... and then the kids just in there for cute factor, not relevant to the plot. Didn't like it then and I don't like it in Legacies, it infantilized the story.
“All that hard, glossy armor” episode from The Magicians; “Life is a Cabaret” episode from Schitt’s Creek; and there isn’t a specific episode but they do quite a few songs in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and several of the cast members are singers.
Josie *singing*: "Then there's a day you never forget. Your parents pick you up from the party you left, but they don't make it home." Hannah *also singing*: "Cause they drove off a bridge... into the lake." *smiles I swear I have never laughed so hard bc at that moment I was think yeah girl cause they drove off a bridge but the way Hannah sang it was just so much better LOL
The two best musical episodes of all time are definitely in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Psych. Both are hilarious, mock-melodramatic, and easy to follow. Please please react to these please! Psych plays heavy on theater tropes and is a funny mystery! And Buffy is just iconic! Both with fabulous dance sequences ❤️❤️
I think they chose that song for Lizzie to sing as Caroline cuz Lizzie is really in a "season 1 Care" state of mind. I really hope she finally gets her "season 2 Care" moment
Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist would be so fun! The premisse is obviously very silly but it’s also original, refreshing, and the numbers are honestly INCREDIBLE. Hannah could start reacting to the whole first episode, and then do videos of just the musical numbers. Ms. American Pie is one of my faves and I think Fight Song would blow Hannah’s mind like it did mine
Wasn’t expecting a reaction to this but glad u did!❤️🔥 It’s called the Salvatore school because it’s actually Stefan and Damon’s house and they made into the school👍🏿
To sum everything up lol: Hope is Klaus and hayley’s daughter and she is a tribrid because of all the genes passed down. Hayley was a werewolf, Klaus was a hybrid and Klaus’ mom, hope’s grandmother was a witch, so hope has all of those traits making her a tribrid. Josie and Lizzie are Alaric and Jo’s daughters dna-wise but Josie looks and acts like jo while Lizzie is more like Caroline To explain the backstory to the school, Caroline and Alaric started the school for their daughters, so that they had a safe place to be themselves and learn about the supernatural, but Klaus was the one who funded it bc he liked Caroline and also so Hope could have a place to go too. And it’s called the Salvatore school in honor of Stefan bc Caroline started it.. Another clarification, the school is open to basically all supernatural kids that is how they “found” the little girl in the play For the scene with Josie and Jade at the end, jade is a vampire hence the babysitting comment When MG says “I’ll vamp us out” he is referring to his super-speed Hope this helped!☺️
Also in regards to the babysitting comment and Jade and Josie, Jade was trapped in a prison world for a bunch of years because Alaric is a horrible principal so she lived the same day over and over again (killing and being killed in the prison world) while Josie was growing up in the real world. So while they are kind of different ages, Jade didn’t really get to live out those years that Josie had and if you don’t count the years she spent in the prison world, they are about the same age.
The only other musical episode I really want you to react to is Buffy. However, you’ve probably gotten the request a lot, so I think you’ll do it at some point. XD Thanks for doing this episode.
I actually don't want her to do Buffy cause I generally hate when people react to Once More With Feeling out of context because that is a musical episode that requires SO MUCH context. It's such a big moment in the series and huge turning point and without the knowledge of what has come before it just doesn't hit and you're kind of confused. Like the lyrics through that musical is what matter cause the singing is for the most part sub-par and people always just skip over the lyrics cause they're paying attention to the voices.
You should really check out Buffy the Vampire Slayers' musical episode, "Once More With Feeling." An oldie but by far the best TV music episode I've ever seen.
8:14 she’s wearing her moms necklace from the originals and the mikaelson crest necklace. They just so happen to look like the necklace overlapped at this point. However, when she sings, she is wearing Elena’s necklace
Caleb from Legacies is a pretty crazy vocalist. Also, please do more musical episodes in shows like this. They're so fun. Legacies actually has another musical episode that's worth checking out. I would've been surprised if you hadn't cried at all. Klaus is a hybrid, vampire/werewolf. Her mom is a witch. Making her a tribrid.
Her Mom is a Werwolf who later becomes a hybrid as well, She's a Tribird because all of the Originals would acutely be Witches if their Mom wouldn't have created the Vampire Curse making them the Original Vampires. That's Why Freya (Klaus's older Sister) still is a Witch, cause she wasn't changed, but without the Curse all of them would be
I would love you to review, "Once More With Feeling", the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode. Back in 2001 it set the bar for all future musical episodes. All original songs. The series creator wrote the entire episode, including the music, and it's an amazing blend of song, dance, comedy and plot development. The bad guy of the week was 3 time Tony award winner Hinton Battle.
THANK YOU! I've been waiting for your reaction on this! The cast is SO talented. The guy playing Hope's boyfriend didn't sang this episode, but in S1 he actually wrote her a love song that he sang to her on his guitar. His vocals are also pretty decent. The show has various moments where they also break down in rap like at this student party they held. Only 3 main cast members haven't sung yet thus far (I'm not counting Alaric as a main cast member).
I love Buffy, it is literally the best show ever written, but Xena beat Buffy to the musical episode by quite a few years having 2 musical episodes out before Once More, With Feeling in 2001 (1998 for their first musical episode, 2000 for their second).
@@Aramane ah yeah i heard about xena’s musical episodes but i just meant that buffy was the one to popularize it because as amazing as xena is you don’t really hear people mention the musical episodes in comparison to buffy. like you think about musical episodes in tv shows and your go to is once more with feeling because of how well it was written although that could just be me and i’m projecting lol

Look into Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode - “Once more with feeling” - But if you haven’t seen the series, power through it first so you get the context
No that can't be the reason, the Musical is not only for s1, if it would be, there wouldn't be Klaus in it and also not the goodby song from caroline then Stefan died. The only reason they choose this song is, that it fits to Lizzie and her issues.
If you want to watch more of the legacies cast singing, the talent show episode has 2 great numbers that are worth watching. It’s the the season 1 episode 11. It has some really great vocals and you get more context on the story!
It's been 9 months and I still rewatch this video, and I know every word Hannah says, I think I'm too obsessed with legacies XD, but I just love this episode soooooo much
Hello Brother is still the best number! Chris Lee is incredible! I’m still wondering who convinced Danielle Rose Russell (Hope) to sing for this. She seemed so against singing in the first musical episode. I was certain she couldn’t sing and then boom! Her beautiful number.
Buffy the vampire slayer has one of the best musical episodes out there. From what I understand, the rights are difficult to get but if you could do this it would be amazing. The singing is amazing 👏 😍
Alaric actually got worse in Legacies. Legacies is overall, tonally "different" from the Vampire Diaries and especially The Originals (more grounded, serious, and overall best series in the franchise by far). Also, a recurring gag is that the adults-aside from Alaric, but he has his own personal issues like alcoholism and being a selectively neglectful parent-in this show are pretty much useless or just background teachers.
it’s called the salvatore school because Caroline married stefan there for took the salvatore name. the school is also in the salvatore boarding house where stefan and damon lived.
Not my favorite, even compared to her other solos. It felt a little ‘dry’ not gonna lie. Might have been Lea putting too much chest voice in her belts when she should be mixing a bit at that point though
You right! At the beginning I loved that they was together, but know I think Hope should end up with Josie or Clarke!!! Josie would be great because she just sees the good in people like Elena did and Clarke because he properly knows what it means to lost the Family (or something like that) 😇❤️
Request: You should do a react to the Supernatural musical episode I love it, and it's similar to this episode where they're making a musical in the episode instead of being in the musical themselves!
You should react to legacies season 1 episode 11 they have a talent show and the girl who plays Elena(Josie) sings so does the guy that plays Damon(Caleb)

I agree plus when Elena and Stefan started dating she was 16 and he was 160 something at least Elena was out of school when Damon and her started dating but in vampire shows and movies they always have a 100 year vampire date a teenager in high school
@@johnitasmith6631 it also kinda helps to know that jade was in a prison world with her humanity off the whole time josie grew up so for jade it’s not like she got more mature
@@thornburghkennedy Yeah she still kinda act the same as when she babysat plus the kids in the show aren’t really that mature all the time like they have there moments when there immature.
Jade and Josie are worse in my opinion. Damon and Elena are an age gap but it's okay because she was an adult when she started dating him. Its not okay with Jade and Josie because Jade knew Josie when she was a little girl. Its like everytime Jade looks at Josie she will see that little girl not the almost adult Josie is.
The Salvatore school was named after Stefan. Klaus helped with money, but all the hard work was thanks to Caroline and Alaric.
it was also named the salvatore school bc the salvatores gave them the school
no ones talking about how somehow matt stayed alive AND human THIS WHOLE TIME 😂😂
To be fair, he DID actually die for a little bit. Remember in season 4, I think, where he’s drowned or whatever and starts seeing ghosts like Jeremy? He was also given vampire blood on numerous occasions, much to his chagrin, but still! Oh, Matt. Bless him.
@@KeiSm1 he was never killed though. When he drowned he did it himself. Also when Bonnie stopped his heart. It was his choice
@@niah428 the comment was “stayed alive”. He didn’t stay alive the whole time. Human, yes. Living, no.
@@KeiSm1 you took the comment to literal
@@niah428 You could’ve just said “I incorrectly asserted this person said ‘killed’” instead of rudely doubling down as if I misunderstood. Not very classy.
Serie: "Carole and Tuesday", the voice of those two are amazing and they are other singers to. Each episode have differents song for different singers. The songs are pretty amazing and original. Just reconsider and I hope you like it.
"stefan died?" lmao i'm sorry but how you said it i'm dying
No Stefan is
OMG this was so unexpected but such a fun surprise
I was not expecting this. And recently the show "Lucifer" released a musical episode its Lucifer season 5 episode 10 I would love to see your reaction
yes! that would be an amazing reaction
Yes plz, that would be amazing!!!
Yeees. She even commented on it in another video and I'd love to see her do it!
Yessssss please it’s so good
I love that the song for caroline was sung by Lizzie. I know it wasn’t accurate to caroline for majority of the show but it reflects a lot of Lizzie’s character and thoughts.
There's another episode season 1 episode 11. "were gunna need a spotlight" that is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!! Kaylee Bryant and peyton Smith have these two songs that will BLOW YOUR MIND!!!! Kaylee sings a power ballad and peyton belts a crazy feelin good. You need to see it
This was the comment I was looking for!!! (Except you mean Chris De'Sean Lee as Kaleb, not Peyton Alex Smith, that’s Raf)
Yeah Hannah, please react to the songs performed in the “We’re Gonna Need A
Spotlight” episode as well!
Jade is Josie's kinda-ex, literally she was in like 3 episode before this, it is her last episode (as far as we know, they might bring her back), she was training to be an EMT before she was turned into a vampire (she became a ripper, like Stefan)
And also Jade was in a Prison World for what like 8 years or something. So she didn’t age there.
@@ani2438 she's a vampire she wouldn't age anyway
There is another musical episode in the first season 1x11 when there is a talent show but most of them sing
@@tyrajosefsson1426 l know what you mean, the annual talent show where the three factions compete for best group performance, boosted on magic slugs.
The school has a lower school for young students, so that is probably where they found young Hope.
Life is a cabaret episode with A Little Bit Alexis
Hopes song has me in tears every freaking time especially since I know it’s a letter klaus wrote to her😭😭😭
18:29 at the end of the tvd they started it and klaus just gave a donation and we’ve seen in Legacies 1x10 how that would have look if he didn’t 😂😂
YOU NEED to react to 'a week away' the musical, it's on Netflix and the singing and dancing is PHENOMENAL!!!
Phono
Menal
Hehe
YEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes!
Yesssss
omg i loved that movie
Josie *singing*: "Then there's a day you never forget. Your parents pick you up from the party you left, but they don't make it home."
Hannah *also singing*: "Cause they drove off a bridge... into the lake." *smiles
I swear I have never laughed so hard bc at that moment I was think yeah girl cause they drove off a bridge but the way Hannah sang it was just so much better LOL
😂
It’s more like descendants but darker
Since it’s got the kids of famous TVD characters
It’s so wholesome and good
The two best musical episodes of all time are definitely in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Psych. Both are hilarious, mock-melodramatic, and easy to follow. Please please react to these please! Psych plays heavy on theater tropes and is a funny mystery! And Buffy is just iconic! Both with fabulous dance sequences ❤️❤️
Also- alaric and joe's daughters are Gemini twins, also known as the siphoners of their coven
fun fact! there’s actually another musical episode in season one, it’s about a talent show, i actually prefer it to this one.
I prefer that one too!!
“No Caroline you’re the best character” yes Hannah yes
you should really see "zoey's extraordinary playlist"
Exactly! Especially since Alex Newell is in it, who she’s already made a video on before
Yes!!
Imagine an actual The Vampire Diaries musical adaptation for Broadway, I would die 😍
I think they chose that song for Lizzie to sing as Caroline cuz Lizzie is really in a "season 1 Care" state of mind. I really hope she finally gets her "season 2 Care" moment
Honestly this is one of the best musical episodes out there. Still waiting for your reaction to the Buffy one which is THE best musical episode.
The First Season is Great!! But the second one lost me a lil bit
hannah: *googles 'necromancer' to get 'person who practices necromancing'* ah yes thank you google for the insight
Love your bubbly attitude and sense of humor. You are so fun and refreshing to watch!
“Everyones coming back to life eventually” well who is gonna tell her
Not me
Not I
Wasn’t expecting a reaction to this but glad u did!❤️🔥
It’s called the Salvatore school because it’s actually Stefan and Damon’s house and they made into the school👍🏿
To sum everything up lol:
Hope is Klaus and hayley’s daughter and she is a tribrid because of all the genes passed down. Hayley was a werewolf, Klaus was a hybrid and Klaus’ mom, hope’s grandmother was a witch, so hope has all of those traits making her a tribrid.
Josie and Lizzie are Alaric and Jo’s daughters dna-wise but Josie looks and acts like jo while Lizzie is more like Caroline
To explain the backstory to the school, Caroline and Alaric started the school for their daughters, so that they had a safe place to be themselves and learn about the supernatural, but Klaus was the one who funded it bc he liked Caroline and also so Hope could have a place to go too. And it’s called the Salvatore school in honor of Stefan bc Caroline started it..
Another clarification, the school is open to basically all supernatural kids that is how they “found” the little girl in the play
For the scene with Josie and Jade at the end, jade is a vampire hence the babysitting comment
When MG says “I’ll vamp us out” he is referring to his super-speed
Hope this helped!☺️
Also in regards to the babysitting comment and Jade and Josie, Jade was trapped in a prison world for a bunch of years because Alaric is a horrible principal so she lived the same day over and over again (killing and being killed in the prison world) while Josie was growing up in the real world. So while they are kind of different ages, Jade didn’t really get to live out those years that Josie had and if you don’t count the years she spent in the prison world, they are about the same age.
I think you mean tribrid not tribute (which is something you offer to someone else - usually a deity).
@@TheMbangel yes I did lol thank you also autocorrect hates me🤦🏻♀️ but at least I got it right at the end😂
@@alexismei4605 LOL! Autocorrect hates everyone! I hate it sometimes, but I also need it sometimes!!

The only other musical episode I really want you to react to is Buffy. However, you’ve probably gotten the request a lot, so I think you’ll do it at some point. XD Thanks for doing this episode.
I’m confused because she said it was in the works over a month ago :(
I actually don't want her to do Buffy cause I generally hate when people react to Once More With Feeling out of context because that is a musical episode that requires SO MUCH context. It's such a big moment in the series and huge turning point and without the knowledge of what has come before it just doesn't hit and you're kind of confused. Like the lyrics through that musical is what matter cause the singing is for the most part sub-par and people always just skip over the lyrics cause they're paying attention to the voices.
YES BUFFY
Ughhh legacies is so good, and Ryan Clarke is a beautiful man
You should really check out Buffy the Vampire Slayers' musical episode, "Once More With Feeling." An oldie but by far the best TV music episode I've ever seen.
I love when you react when not knowing what’s going on in the show, genuinely makes it more entertaining. Can’t wait for you to do Buffy.
There’s another episode that is a musical I guess it’s kinda this one but it’s a talent show it’s season 1 episode 11 Kaleb and Josie sings in it.
Alaric and Caroline started it in Stephan and Damon’s honor
It was actually stefans honor since Damon isn’t dead in the legacies universe
it was just in stefans honor not damons
It's also in the Salvatore's mansion
Also Caroline is Caroline Salvatore by the time she starts the school if I remember right.
That's Why Freya (Klaus's older Sister) still is a Witch, cause she wasn't changed, but without the Curse all of them would be
BYE YOUR UNSURE EXPLANATIONS ARE EVERYTHING
she hates elena, alaric and damon ig i stan her even more now
I would love you to review, "Once More With Feeling", the Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode. Back in 2001 it set the bar for all future musical episodes. All original songs. The series creator wrote the entire episode, including the music, and it's an amazing blend of song, dance, comedy and plot development. The bad guy of the week was 3 time Tony award winner Hinton Battle.
Yess🙏🙏 thats what i commented. Best musical episode EVER
YEA!!!! Love that episode so much omg
Yes!!!! I agree!!
you should react to legacies “stepping into the light” and “about her”
Its actually Alaric and Caroline who made the school. So thats why he is still in the series. And Stefan died in the last ep of tvd
Only 3 main cast members haven't sung yet thus far (I'm not counting Alaric as a main cast member).
there’s another musical episode of legacies! (well kinda, there’s singing in it!) it’s season 1 episode 11 :)
god PLEASE DO THE BUFFY MUSICAL EPISODE IT'S LITERALLY THE ONE THAT STARTED IT ALL IT'S SOOOO GOOD
I love Buffy, it is literally the best show ever written, but Xena beat Buffy to the musical episode by quite a few years having 2 musical episodes out before Once More, With Feeling in 2001 (1998 for their first musical episode, 2000 for their second).
It wasn’t the first, but there is argument to be made that it’s the one-that-started-it-all.
@@andurilcuivie yeah definitely i meant it in a “buffy popularized musical episodes in modern tv” as it did with many things and less of they were the first to do it
the record scratch when jade said she used to babysit josie. omfg im litterally crying.
You should definitely react to the talent show episode in Legacies! I absolutely loved it.
We LOVE to hear you spill the tea on miss Elena Gilbert
Look into Buffy the Vampire Slayer musical episode - “Once more with feeling” - But if you haven’t seen the series, power through it first so you get the context
The musical is based off season 1 of tvd that’s why Lizzie had to sing that song about Caroline
Also, you will laugh so hard and love the musical episode of ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer” 👀
i was looking for this video but i didnt find it! Im so glad you reviewed it because its my favorite show
Her reactions throughout the video is all I've ever needed
Alaric actually got worse in Legacies. Legacies is overall, tonally "different" from the Vampire Diaries and especially The Originals (more grounded, serious, and overall best series in the franchise by far). Also, a recurring gag is that the adults-aside from Alaric, but he has his own personal issues like alcoholism and being a selectively neglectful parent-in this show are pretty much useless or just background teachers.
nah originals was the best in the franchise
@@hollymichelle3260 Yep, it certainly was/is.

it’s called the salvatore school because Caroline married stefan there for took the salvatore name. the school is also in the salvatore boarding house where stefan and damon lived.
He got to “Hellooo brother...!!” And I screamed in my car 🤣
You need to react to Rachel singing my man from glee
Not my favorite, even compared to her other solos. It felt a little ‘dry’ not gonna lie. Might have been Lea putting too much chest voice in her belts when she should be mixing a bit at that point though
I would otherwise love hope and Landon but at this point they’ve broken up and gotten back together way too much and now it’s very toxic
You right! At the beginning I loved that they was together, but know I think Hope should end up with Josie or Clarke!!! Josie would be great because she just sees the good in people like Elena did and Clarke because he properly knows what it means to lost the Family (or something like that) 😇❤️
