- This filter hasn't left my lens for the last month. It removes the need to stack multiple filters for that dreamy and contrasty look.

Much love man, pumped to see you dig them!
Appreciate you mate! Keep crushing it
Missed the first batch, got the second, can't wait to try them out!
You’re gonna love them!
Bro! This video is amazing, this is the first video from you I'm seeing, I love it. Just subbed!
Thanks a ton dude that means so much!
Big fan of Shortstache, peeved PolarPro aint bringing out a 72mm for us Fuji users :( The popular XF10-24 has 72mm filter thread. Yes, I know one can use step-up rings, but that's 'one more thing', ya know... Great overview, thanks man!
there is a 72mm.
Love this dude! Can’t wait for mine to come in
Thank bro! You’ll love them!
Snagged an 82 on preorder for April ship date! Stoked is an understatement!
Ohhh yes!! 🙌🏼
do you even use this filter on low light conditions such as at night?
I got the Mist 1/2 PL instead of the Everyday, and I’m not quite happy how strong the mist is, I already ordered the everyday for the second batch, but man waiting until abril is killing me 🙂↕️
Yeah it’s a bit on the heavy side - I’ve been loving it for night shoots though I think it’s perfect for that stuff. But the everyday is legendary for everything else
Just got mine! Excited to start taking some photos and see what it does video as well
Greta Video, mate!
Short question. If you use the stepup ring and 67mm on the Leica Q3: which lens cap do you use, because the standard lense cap does not work?
These filters are taking over. The results are crazy. Crushed this one bro.
Thanks a ton legend
Letsss goooo, great video man. Should have my filters monday for my sony/q. Ill be welding them to my lenses for sure 😂
Thank you mate! Haha yess they’re never gonna come off!
Great review 😊, What is the perfect size for leica Q3?
Great vid! I’d love to see a walk around of your jeep. Looks rad.
Got something in the works!
Hi. Have you tested the Shortstache x PolarPro The Everyday Filter 49mm on the WCL-X100 II (equivalent FF 28mm) to X100V wide converter? I'm interested in whether the filter placed on the wide-angle converter causes vignette in the photos?
I haven’t! I actually just got the x100vi and the 49mm is perfect, but I probably won’t be getting the converter for it. I expect it probably won’t vignette because testing the 49 mm on the Leica Q3 there is no vignette. And the q3 lens is actually closer to 24mm than 28
I have the 49 and the WCL II. If you are still looking for that answer, let me know. I can check it tonight.
@@jacquesgude Don't ask, just check😁 I have already bought my Shortstache x PolarPro The Everyday Filter 49mm, but delivery will not be possible until April 30th. I also received a response from PolarPro that the 49mm filter should not vignetter on the WCL-X100 II.
Yep gunna have to cop.
are these similar to the moments filters ?
Sweet video man, game changing filters! Mine are coming in a couple days. Quick one: Would you be able to tell me where you got that green strap for the Q2?
yes dude I got it from Litto Howler, they make leashes but happen to make camera straps too haha
Hello Jonny, amazing content as always. Is there a reason (other than aestetichs) to use a 67 instead the standard measure?
Easy to maneuver a larger filter
Hey Jonny! What size filter I should get for my Leica Q3? Appreciate the help!
I use a 67mm with a step ring, which means you can’t use the lens cap but I feel it fits the form factor better
@@JonnyRoams Ah amazing thank you! So 49mm would not fit either?
@@MiaMaria-nt3cm 49 mil does fit and the cap will work with it I just prefer the size of a 67 with the step up ring
Quick question. Just managed to get hold of everyday filter for my Fiji x100vi. With it being a circular polariser you cannot fit a hood, does it ever suffer from flares?
Looks like you might have to grab that 92mm filter too when you get that 28-70 f2 for your canon R3?👀👀
ahhaha i think so!👀
I snagged a 49mm but dang, seeing your Q with a step up ring and the 67 makes the Q look so good. Kinda sad with my decision. Hahaha. First world problems
haha for real though!
in what color you ordered the X100VI? silver or black?
Are these good for videos as well?
Hi Jonny, can I apply noth everyday filter and Q3 hood?
What do you used for 67mm lens cap?
when you combine your own mist and polarizer do you get the same effect as far as color render or it's the same ? or does the everyday have a warmer a greenish tone. thanks! great video
I believe the polarization glass in the every day filter is new compared to the old polarization filters. I haven’t done any strict comparisons side-by-side yet but from my experience the every day renders better than combining two together
Thanks Jonny!@@JonnyRoams
Nicely done man. Filter looks 💯 missed the boat on the order!
Damn dude hope you can get in the next batch!
Rookie question. Can these be used for videography too?
Of course but you might find the scene is overexposed if outdoors. But I use these for my interior video
Have you used this for any video work? Have you had to stack it with an nd filter, any problems with that do you have?
No I haven’t. But they just released a cpl/nd/mist 3 in one filter which is all I use for video and it’s perfect
Can you still use the hood with the filter on the Q3?
Unfortunately not
Changing the game
GAME: CHANGED
Have you tried the new chroma filter with the Q3?
Yes.. this filter has the new chroma glass in it
@@JonnyRoamsthank you for your prompt reply, definitely earned a subscriber!
Is there any cons always shooting with PL ? Heard it’s not good for the sky because the blue is never the same. Nice 67 on your Q3 :)
I personally love it on the sky if you get it positioned right, but it can go bad if at the wrong angle!
Hey Jonny, I love the idea of the of the filter on the step up ring, and am considering getting this setup for my Q2. My question though is - What lens cap do you use on the Q3?
I've read a lot on the Internet, but I've never found the answer. Perhaps you managed to find out? Give me an answer if you find out. I really want to buy a leica q3 67 mm😀
@@ANTONKOFF I had to buy the Polar Pro Defender lens cap. Good luck!
@@leafsfan71 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻thnx
Be nice to see an actual use case process - ie. I’m using this filter in this way actually showing how the polarization works.
I’ve no doubt it’s great but it’s only great if you know what to do with it lol 😂
Great video legend !
How is it for video?
wondering the same 🤔
@@grenaclana bought it, it’s awesome👍🏻👍🏻
When did you make the jump to the Q3?
I planned to upgrade closer to the end of the year but I found one locally for sale for a deal! Couldn’t pass it up!
@@JonnyRoamsthat’s awesome! I’d love to make the upgrade. Keeping my eye out for one.
@@cdstate I was told an 8 month wait and knew I’d kick myself if I didn’t take this opportunity- so glad I did. It’s truly the best camera I’ve ever used!!
You love saying “changing the game” tho 😂
Lmao I SURE DO 😅😅
Why wouldn’t you use it for video? Thanks!
@@MatMora I used NDs for video
Do you think these would be good for video??
As much as I don't like stacking filters, you could definitely put these over an ND and get some great results!
@@JonnyRoams thank you soo much. I will give it a try! I hope they work well with a URTH VND filter
nice video dude quick query. can u use the q3 hood whist using the filter dude or is it a turning polarizer and need to have the hood off
No good. With the 49mm you can use the hood and some people leave it as a predetermined position as it is tough to move with the hood on!
@@JonnyRoams thx man. I’m loving the Q3 might even use it for pro work too with my canons. I kept ordering the Tiffen mist filters but every one I ordered had a scratch on them so hopefully this be superior quality in every way
does this have the brass or aluminum ring?
Aluminium!
@@JonnyRoams thanks. That is truly unfortunate. Love the vids!
@@jujus_reviews yeah brass would have been amazing
nice video man! also, did you get a L or XL AAO Hoodie? lol
Cheers! Got myself a Large! Fits great (6ft2, 205lbs)
Thank you for sharing all the information! I wish you had shown examples of videos or photos taken with that filter. "Show, don't tell"
Every single photo I showed in this video was using that filter.
LEGEND
appreciate you bro!
Thank you!
Nice video sir 🎉
Why thank you
Oh hell yes
🫶🏼
A 72mm should have been a good idea 😬
@@sozable they just added more threads available and 72mm is one of them! 🙏🏼
