My silk tank dresses, one black, one navy, give me a lot of day to night mileage. I’m looking for one or two in lighter colors, too, they’re more flattering on me. (I have a light pink silk dress, but it’s more dressy in style). There are silk slip dresses with spaghetti straps in every color, but the bra-friendly tank-strap style is much harder to find. I got three compliments when I wore the black one recently. I also get a lot of wear out of my silk skirts and shirts, they can be styled up or down. Silk is addicting, nothing else ever feels that light, soft and comfortable (I can’t wear polyester on my torso, it overheats me because it’s plastic).
I like the slightly softer look of suede for my (always genuine) leather jackets, it seems to flatter my “Soft, Cool, Light” coloring better, especially in darker shades. I won’t buy animal products like fur if the animal is killed only for that, but if the animal is used for food anyway, like cow leather, I don’t have a moral problem with it. Plastics (“ vegan leather”) are inferior in every way, most importantly, they just aren’t breathable and don’t soften over time, they crack or peel instead. I tried plastic shoes, now I call them “sweat buckets”, I can’t stand having wet feet all day and it’s bound to lead to athlete’s foot or worse.

I would add a leather pair of white sneakers with minimal branding. Also, a pair of black trousers to dress up or down is what I love.

I'm 100% with you! Silk is the most luxurious, comfortable fabric in my opinion.
