When the Millennium Falcon flies in at 3:45 the whole entire theater went nuts. Everybody loved the old throwback to Tie Fighter Attack!! Reminded me of Lando in ROTJ. When I first heard it in ANH, wow!!! Chills!!
thats one of the only scenes i loved in the movies
Lando will Fly the old Girl again you can bet on it!
3:45 One of my favorite pieces of music from the original trilogy starts playing during an exciting action scene and I knew all was well.
Inclemens the Falcon kicking imperial arse score
3:05 love this part
that's rey's theme
@@hamzaalaa2921 yes... with a little modification...
So epic!
@@hamzaalaa2921WOOO! I like this!
1:10 DAAAAAMMMMNNNNN that transition from the First Order Theme straight to the Resistance March
John Williams at it again.
God I love the resistance theme so fucking much lmao
When I heard that, I couldn’t believe how freaking awesome that transition was!
Language plz.
Wait until you see ROS that theme lit the entire theatre up
The new resistance riff with the snare and horns is incredible. Also, cried at 3:45. The crowd went crazy
Same
my theater shit a brick when chewie came in
flooded the whole theater with my tears of joy
This track might be the best from the soundtrack
Hm nobody cheer when music kick in back silver city during open movie so unfortunately. Just cheer opening and that it. Just slient
1:10 current trilogy
3:45 original trilogy (!!!)
5:50 prequel trilogy
well played John Williams
Help me understand. Where in the prequels does that tune show up?
Sounds like the bit where Anakin winds up a little bit... toasty.
Near the end you can hear "The Immolation Scene" from episode 3.
Also, not sure if it was intentional or not, but 1:33 sounds a lot like The Clone Wars
Vinfinite you can here battle of the heroes near the beginning of the film also!
This planet was literally Kylo Ren after this scene. Pure Salt.
BLOW THAT SHIP OUTTA THE SKY LMAO!!

Joshqim I know it's from a new hope that why I cried I absoulty love the tie fighter attack score.
3:45 I fucking cry with "Tie Fighter attack", its my favorite piece from the original trilogy.
Jorge J. Ramirez my cinema erupted
I literally was like "Oh shit it's starting!"
I cried there too
i was so fucking pumped when i heard it during the falcon chase on crait. that was so badass & wasnt expecting it so it was even cooler
anyone who wasn't hyped by this part is simply just unable to enjoy a movie, it was easily the best moment
3:45
Rian: "I want this scene to be the most epic William!" *shows scene*
John: *grows 1977 hair back* "I just got the perfect shit for this!"
Attiladesigner22 “grows back” 😂
So he just re-used the old good stuff. This whole trilogy was so derivative and devoid of creativity.
@@spenser9908 there's a difference between bringing something back for familiarity and milking for fan service. The music does the former.
@@spenser9908 Pretty much. I can't find the youtube clip but someone pretty much summed it up just like you did. Williams is re-using a lot of old material in the sequel trilogy and calls it a day. Unlike his work with the prequels, love or hate it, it mostly had original and distinctive pieces to make it stand out on its own.
@@spenser9908 Why mess with what works? If you want originality then go watch something that isn't based on something within the past 40 years... it'll be hard to find nowadays, nobody has any kind of originality left.
Poe: "She drew them off!! All of them!!"
Finn: "Oh, they HATE that ship!!"
*BLOW THAT PIECE OF JUNK OUT OF THE SKY!!*
All Fighters!
"get that piece of junk....OUT OF THE SKY!"
And not just the men, but the women and children too!
BLOW THAT PIECE OF JUNK..... OUT OF THE SKY!!!!
Considering the fact that The Falcon helped bring destroy both Death Stars and helped defeat the Empire during the Battle of Endor, it makes sense WHY The First Order HATES the Falcon
My word JW is THE MAESTRO - Incorporating practically every leitmotif from Rose's theme; Rey's theme; March of the Resistance; bits of the First Order theme; then the classic Millenium Falcon rescue note and the chase sequence, on top of very exciting music that screams 'battle'. It's almost too good to be true.
Max Harrison It IS too good to be true.
Max Harrison Plus,I heard some Binary Sunset,Jedi Temple March, and maybe some Finn's Confession.
Also the theme when Anakin burns
Anyone else notice how from 5:50 to 6:07 is pretty much exactly like the music played just as anakin and obi wan finish their duel on mustafar. Ya know "I HATE YOU" "You were my brother, I loved you!" That scene.
Gotta love John williams
Christopher Burrows there were allot of call backs to prequel music, the music on Luke's island sounded like Kimino at times
I would rather say "'Anakin's Betrayal", but there is a few hints at the Immolation Scene too
Nice catch, you are right, what a great composer.
And both Obi Wan and Luke lost their apprentice to the dark side
Hello there
Had a huge grin on my face and bobbing my head in the theatre when I heard 3:45. Ah I love John Williams.
Just like Izuku Midoria.
Vinny Banana porg just falls on window
Same. I busted many nuts because of the music. Nostalgic af.
This theme basically includes all of his music pieces into one, beautifully crafted piece of art. It mixes in music from the prequels, originals, and the sequels, along with other pieces from different movies. If you want to know what John Williams is capable of, this basically summarizes all of his work into one. Amazing Job.
3:45 Here they come!
They really hate that ship!

indeed here it comes, the waves of nostalgia.
Great kid! Don't get penisey!
the scene with the Falcon piloted by Chewee into the subsurfaces is in my opinion probably the best action scene of the movie

*”911 what’s your emergency?”*
*“Umm I got some idiot above me that thinks that isn’t the best part in the song.”*

Yeh cos its the old tune from the original, the rest of it is generic bland filler background music that's why everyone only gets excited about that sting.
Seriously though, if Disney adds little tasters of original pieces like this, they are going to make fans cry every time like I did when I first saw the movie scene.
I was fucking ecstatic when that familiar music from A New Hope unexpectedly kicked in. It's my absolute favourite piece of Star Wars soundtrack ever. I was in tears. Great moment and what a great film.
the cheques in the post
Keep shilling, fucc boi
I agree.
3:45 Rey, Chewie and Porgs in the Falcon
Wi11iamson and R2
With R2 it was really like something form the old EU
falcon got a new captain
Wi11iamson no one care about the porgs
The Other Porg was co-piloting with Chewie
By FAR one of the best moments from the movie, same with the music, you first hear the peace of Crait, then the First Order Marches in, as you hear the Resistance feeling hopeless, then gaining Hope for one final stand as Finn and everyone else to everything they can to stop the First Order.
Luke Skywalker 4:47 does such a good job capturing the rising tensions and desperation of the Resistance!

3:45 That nostalgia
Hearing the music shift there made me almost sing along :D
Ahhhhh, jedi outcast, and academy.
The part when Finn was completely ready to sacrifice himself for the resistance... chills. Legitimately worried he was gonna die
he's a top suicide bomber. One of the best ever
He forgot to shout Admiral Akbar.
He's a stormtrooper. Giving his life in battle is kind of his job. He doesn't fear death like most people would. He's been essentially brainwashed into not fearing death.
thats not true have you seen the force awakence. the whole film he was scared
Grand Moff Tarkin it’s Allah Akbar
I just love how everyone is linking to 3:45, and for good reason. One of my favorite parts of the movie.
John Williams you amazing man you done it again
When the Falcon is going through the caves and that music at 3.45 kicks in, massive throw back to Lando going through the Death Star in RTJ (I mean they even lose the satellite again), probably the best part of TLJ for me, absolutely epic.
i think they lost the turret gun
Did they lose it? If so, i hope they get the circular one back, i like the circular one more than the rectangular one
The surely lose the upper turret, the glasscockpit is also breached, I hope there is a hatch or shield of somekind to close behind, or else, the ship would xent out atmosphere once back into space...
3:45 in this part of the movie i got tears in my eyes :D
Vectro666 me too
Same bro
I think we all did
Same here. The Force is strong with all of us.
Same here, my friend.
Kylo Ren "I want every cannon we have...to fire on that man."
Kylo Ren "MORE, MORE!!!"
General Hux "...you think you got him?"
"That's enough!" continues firing "THAT'S ENOUGH!"
I laughed my head of at that scene
Everyone is mentioning the Falcon theme at 3:45 and nostalgia from it and I agree, I got chills when I heard it.

YEAH! Not only one though..John Williams is a LEGEND!
Mandalore the Hunter TWO MORE AT THAT
Kaleb Swanson

Star wars has an Oscar... If you what im talking about
He’s already got plenty of those. This was just him flexingz
Some people love it, some people hate it, but we can all agree the soundtrack to Last Jedi is fucking incredible.
in that way Disney succeeded they made on single person came out saying meh not. that alot of people don't like it but the purpose of art is to make you feel an emotion and if the movie makes you angry well at least it made you feel something unlike most blockbusters these days and if it made you feel happy like me and half the other people who saw it well even better
DR Owlstine you are soooooo right!!
daabgrafx i liked the prequels and i like this movie as well
DarkJedi610 I like RotS as much as TLJ . Sometimes I feel alone in this fanbase
Tommy Carr Yeah, I think we can all agree.
0:16 HOLY SHIT That's such a good transition. Frome the Force Theme to the heroic March of the Resistance. So Epic!!
Came here and saw only what everyone else was thinking. 3:45. Beautiful throwback to the attack run led by Lando in Return of the Jedi. Freaking chills. As always, Williams pulls it off masterfully!
3:44 from "Empire Strikes Back"
3:46 Falcon vs TIE fighter theme from "A New Hope", WOW !!
cigarKK Also played when Lando and Wedge fly into the second Death Star to destroy it, as well as when the Rebel fleet try to destroy the Executor Super Star Destroyer

This is the Falcon's theme :)
IM SO GLAD THEY HAD THIS SONG IN IT
...for "damage control", right ? Then their efforts failed because I didn't think the movie was "good". It was "brilliant".
3:45 I was having a blast in the theater at this scene, even dancing in my seat to the music. I didn't even think that was possible with music like that.
Jack Buchanan Dude that throwback to the Tie Fighter Attack music from A New Hope had me absolutely leaping out of my seat, that moment when they fly through the caves is gorgeous I loved it
Thats the magic of music, and thats the power of John Williams
Yeah, I may have been bouncing in my seat cheering when this musical cue kicked in, same as I did when Red Leader and Gold Leader reported in during Rogue One.
The crowd cheered when that music came on.
It's not new, i remember hearing this in Jedi Academy game. Awesome music indeed though !
5:50 YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE. IT WAS SAID YOU WOULD DESTROY THE SITH. NOT JOIN THEM. BRING BALANCE TO THE FORCE NOT LEAVE IT IN DARKNESS. YOU WERE MY BROTHER ANAKIN. I LOVED YOU.
“I HATE YOU!!” *becomes toasty*
(On fire) eee aaa raaaaaa naaaaaaaaaaa!
5:50 Most epic part in the song for me
John Knew what he was doing here. 3:45
JRoberts Music he knows what he’s doing everywhere 😂
Very true!
03:45 Battle of endor 3
Tie fighter attack
Memories ❤
And the TIE Fighter Attack from Episode IV
3:45 i almost cry in the theater 😍
i think john williams is honestly as much to do with the success of star wars as the rest of the production teams put together. maybe that is hyperbole, but without his music so much of what we love about star wars are just moments in movies. his music makes those instances become moments in time.
MojoRider 80 he’s vital but your statement is still grossly hyperbolic.
@@BruceWayne-zj1kw I disagree. So much of what makes film stand out from any other form of media is its sonic influence, and the emotions it causes. It furthers the storytelling on a subconscious level. Music is so ingrained in human culture that you literally cannot help feeling the emotions that a great soundtrack makes you feel. I highly encourage you to research musical themes and motifs as tied to emotions and energies. The way the brain interprets certain musical elements is pretty amazing. Simply put: without the influence of John Williams' scores, Star Wars would not have the emotional and cultural impact that it would if it were just a script with some VFX added to it.
3:45 YES!
5:51 that brought finn to another Level
Resistance Poe Boy no
It's pretty similar
Resistance Poe Boy Yes it is.
Yeah I was tearing up at this point. That moment really made his character a fucking badass.
What a waste of a build up, he should've been allowed to make the sacrifice. Not like his character has done anything useful the last two movies anyways
6:00 and on reeeeally reminds me of some Revenge of the Sith stuff. Love the OT and the PT representing in this track
5:50 to the ending, I can't get enough of this part even if I try.
LOL happy to see everyone's favorite part was the TIE Fighter Attack tribute.
The whole track is great
Best track of the score
joshua miller I legit bought that song on my phone
@@porgherder6109 I loved the resistance theme and the falcon theme. This has one of the best soundtracks
At 3:45, actually shed a tear and choked up in the theater
When I heard that theme in the movie, I couldn't help but feel part of the old Star Wars trilogy. The scene reminded me so much of Episode VI where the Falcon flew through the partially build Death Star. Avoiding the salt stalactites and stalagmites looked so much like avoiding all of the construction beams in the Death Star.

Roses are red, Violets are blue,
"Why does everyone wanna go back to Jakku?!"
I have listen this maybe 20th times, and every time this is Awesome
When the falcon returned that was hands down the most hype part. The classic music, kylo pissing himself, chewbacca lighting ties up. If that didnt give you butterflies you're not a star wars fan

To any composers who want to reuse classic and iconic themes. Do what Williams did here. Reuse it but also modify it for an awesome scene. (Looking at you Elfman)
Hans Zimmer does the same John Williams and Hans Zimmer are two of my favorite composers

It's one of my favorite sections of Star Wars music and nobody talks about it! I wish it lasted longer or was repeated more often.
I love this song so much I can cry thank you John Williams
3:45 a beautiful ode to John Williams' best work IMO
Can you make an ode to your own work? lol
Lol that's a fair question. Use of his best work*
is that prequel music I hear at the end? 5:50
A bit of " The Immolation Scene ".
AreZ "You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you!"
"I HATE YOUUUUUUUUUUUU"
It's said before the above. After Obi-Wan's line, Anakin gets set on fire and yells in pain.
ya? is that so bad?
Nothin against ya, I just don't know why the world shits on the prequels. I would have been perfectly ok with them if they scrapped the levels of bs Anakin and Padme's love story taking up half of what could have been epic.Otherwise, love story aside, it was still a fantastic piece of filmwork and that's unthievable.
3:45 got me humming instantly the moment it played in the theater! 😍😍😍💯💯💯
John Williams really deserves to win the Oscar !

When u think about the meaning of the "ship" in shipping two person.. ITS KINDA FUNNY BECAUSE OF REYLO
Came here just to relive the moment at 3:45 again, was for sure one of my very favorite moments of TLJ!! The unexpectedness of it made it even better and I still can't get over how much of a scorewriting genius John Williams is.
this song is just a bunch of different star wars songs combined, I LOVE IT!!!
The battle of Crait, my favorite moment in Star Wars history
What did you expect? luke skywalker to stand in front of the entire First order with a laser sword? :)
Do you think we got him?
Marco D. Toon I'd agree it was quite crait indeed
3:45 THE TIE FIGHTER ATTACK FROM ANH RETURNS!!!!!!!!!!
I was hoping to hear it again & then my face lit up when it played in TLJ
YEEEEESSS
I don't think "epic" is enough to describe that chase.
I was remembering the TIEs pursing the Rebels towards the Second Death Star's reactor from Return of the Jedi.
This theme is so well re-introduced in the movie, made me smile :)
Say what you want, about literally any of the movies, 1 - 8, they all have amazing musical scores. From the force theme, to the imperial march, to the duel of the fates, star wars music is amazing, and its all thanks to the incredible John Williams.
Just one work: AMAZING!
