- An almost unbelievable journey from Ohio, to Myrtle Beach South Carolina in a 58 year old Chevy Truck, to pick up 2 BRAND NEW STILL SEALED IN THE CRATE 400 Small Block Chevy Short Blocks? Yeah, sounds too crazy to be true…. Let’s toss in a overnight stay in Durbin West Virginia Population 260 for a ride back through time on a steam locomotive to boot! Yes, we did this. And it was absolutely amazing!

My wife is going through a rough cancer scare. Watching this on my break makes me want nothing more than to finish my shift rush home and ignore sleep just to spend time with her. You two are a shinning example of what i want our marriage to be regardless of trials or tribulations

My prayers are with you! I myself have been fighting stage 4 cancer since 2016 and finally got a clean PET scan last month. Unfortunately I lost my wife of 34 years 2 weeks ago and we are burying her today. Cherish every moment you can with her as life can change in a heart beat.
When you watch your videos it makes you feel like your part of the family...always love watching and learning thanks Bill keep up the great work man

After watching the episode this is probably one of my favorite to ddate. The once in a lifetime find of the motors. The once in a lifetime memories FINALLY made in the C10, just as you pictured when you purchased the truck. The ability to step away from all responsibilities and requirements, and live life free. Which you both well deserve as hard as you work. Great video. Great scenery. Great memories. Great editing. All thats left is for you to get some GREAT sleep, and pick up where you left off tomorrow. Finding those engines is like the dream of me finding a true set of the single hump 292 angle plug factory set of big valve screw in studs sbc 1968/1969/ sbc headand some big time head porting service I'd guess in the late 80s early 90s looks to have cncd the heads to max porting and sleeved the head s where the head bolts pass thru cause they are some huge runners and have really made a nice set if heads here and I've looked many years for a good set of factory big sbc heads big valved. ,cause I'm building a 68 chevelle that may get these heads hahaha also another dream of driving one out of all the cars I've owned and built ifinally found one and almost ready to paint after doing frame off restoration and everything is new also is going from now it's a frame off build and has had front and rear disc conversion and 12 bolt rear has a new front pieces and all chrome grill everything as it should now is taking a twist of a turn which is headed for a small tire killer build to street drive and street raced grudge car. I've already got one that I race but am wanting a classic brand new build cause finding old parts like those sbc 400 engines are a diamond 💎in the ruff nowadays, seems as if all our history making parts and cars have almost disappeared! Sorry the comment is so long but I get excited about old cars and parts hahaha

Exactly!, this is my escape from the craziness that we know as our country/world. We’re definitely in dire straits, but watching y’all is such a pleasure. I quit watching tv probably 10-12 years ago. Luckily I found the virtues of TH-cam about a year ago, and I can be 100% in charge of what I watch. Y’all by far are the best content I’ve ever found on any kind of platform. I feel as though I personally know every one of y’all on your and the boy’s channels. Thank you/y’all for what you do, you bring a ray of sunshine to my otherwise dark life. I’m a 30 year old man living in CO by way of Myrtle Beach and I’ve been watching SRC since day one. I can’t say enough about the Hoskinson family. They uplift us all. That being said; so many people have cancer and it’s heart breaking. Prayers for each and every one. I pray that health comes in abundance. Bill, I'm glad you and Ms.Vicki are enjoying your very deserved vacation, I'm also happy to see that Vicki is enjoying driving her truck, I bet it was nice to be able to relax with nowhere specific you need to be and nothing specific you have to do as far as responsibility, but the video stuff of course which still takes more effort and forethought then one would think. Also that is sweet that you were able to pick up 2 of them 400's... I left you a huge heartfelt comment on your last video that you probly didn't see because it was made so late cuz I wasn't able to watch like normal.

A roadtrip in a sweet old 64 C-10 with yer girl at yer side through amazing countryside, a ride on an old steam train and ya get to come home with two virgin 400 SBCs. That's about the most idyllic vacation I can think of personally.

Bill & Vicki, you both are doing exactly what my wife and I are planning. As the person stated in the previous comment we too are dealing with Cancer. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in February and I skin cancer in May. It’s a long hard road but this path that is chartered out in our lives by the good Lord has brought us closer than ever. Once my wife is complete with her surgeries we are going on a stress free vacation to see what the Lord has put in front of us. Currently we have no definite destination planned. Wherever we go we know it will be a Blessing from God. Thank you both for sharing your time together on your vacation. May God Bless you and your entire family.

I live just 25 miles from Marietta and williamstown. I rode that train the 1st time when I was 7 years old and a few times since then. Very nice of Victor to sell you not one but 2 of the 400 small blocks! They’re incredible engines my brother had a built 400 in a Chevy Luv pickup that would fly on the drag strip. Of course we had to bolt Tractor 🚜 weights in the bed over the rear axle to get it to get a grip on the track 😂.
