I agree with pat lee! Alot of channels have the huge high dollar builds. Which most of us can in no way afford. Now I'm not saying that those other builds are bad !!! But your family and channel is more down home too alot of folks. We see you doing what y'all love too do as a family. Very little cussing and bragging on your videos. You explain what your doing on your builds in simple terms. Most of us can understand it. Now racing is a expensive way of life ... But your setups seem too last alot longer than most . So in my opinion your channel is wholesome values, informative content and how life can be good!! With the POLITICAL crap going on MOST OF THIS COUNTRY is sick of that.
Several years ago my daughter came home from school and was telling me about a conversation she was having,I don’t remember the details of the conversation. But what stuck in my head and hit me really hard was one of the friends told my daughter, Your Dad raised you for a society that no longer exists. I will never forget that. I’m proud of my kids and my family,we all work very hard for the things we have and the fellowship we experience racing. Times are getting worse but my family and our faith is still strong.
You know something similar to that is last night at my wife's birthday party 3 of our daughters and grandsons was there. So our youngest daughter was telling us which works at a dentist office (now she is 33yrs old) that her boss comes to her about training another girl for the office. The boss wants my daughter to show her how she treats people an how to be nice an respectful and when to be firm with people. So my daughter tells her boss that there is no way she can show this other girl how to act casue she wasn't brought up the same way an every person an situation is different. It made my wife an me feel good when her boss thinks that highly of our child like that. My daughter wants to be a dental hygienist but her boss which is the dentist in the office said that she is so good at her job an would be hard to find someone to replace her with that she up her pay 5 dollars more an hour to stay as a receptionist. I think the kid is making over 30 dollars an hour now an said she was asking for another raise cause she put more work on her. I couldn't believe that her boss said ok lol. It's hard today with all that is going on but I still think raising your kids with the old morals an respect from the older generation is best. God bless an stay safe

Look at it this way... your dad handled every square inch of that block, he put his blood, sweat, tears and heart into it. When someone puts that much love into something a piece of them stays with it. So in a way your getting to spend time with him again by working on the same things he did. He might not be there physically but you can bet he is in spirit.

The 55 to out run a 600hp fox body car would be a tall order to fill, the 4:10 gears will put more load on the engine and make it pull harder, putting more power to the ground

I remember when our family use to be like yours 40+ years ago, living a simple happy small town life but those days are gone. Moving to a big city, splitting up the family all over the country and key members of the family being dead and gone it’ll never be anything more than a fond memory. When I myself watch your videos it takes me back to a happy simpler time in my life building and racing my cars as a kid just running around enjoying life and everything good it had to offer..... thanks for bringing back those memories. I'm 41 years old and I'm old school. You wash your hands before dinner, everyone normally drinks milk with the meal, we pray and the most important rule is NO ELECTRONICS at my table during dinner. My most Fondest memories are with my Father and I working on Cars. Usually, installing a blown motor from me racing it! Sadly, He passed in 2013. but those memories I will always have. Cherish them!

I enjoyed the " built to the max" satire. As a guy that grew up in the sixties- seventies and had my share of mildly built hot rods and some that were "built" mostly for racing that I drove/raced on the street and ran into a few guys that thought their car was " built to the max" only to get thorough embarrassed by my "slightly" modified muscle car. Brought back memories, watching your videos do that alot and mostly good memories. I grew up in NE ohio and that is some of it but we were and are a hard working family too and have a love of cars. I remember as a small child going with my Dad and younger brother to car shows, my Dad could look at what we be called antique cars today and could tell you virtually everything about them with genuine passion for them no matter the brand, Dad had them all, I gravitated to Fords, my first was a 68 Cougar XR 7 and 65 Fairlane Sport Coupe after that and many different Fords and Mercury's afterward. I've owned six mustangs but would consider myself a fairlane/torino guy. I believe they are still families like ours out there too, which is why the US is still best place to live. The 55 is my fav car in the SRC fleet, and is becoming the perfect STREET CAR . Part by part, along with the family time spent together . This car is something special. It is the family HOTROD!
It’s not normal to wake up at 130 2 am to watch a SRC video and then stay up till about 4or5 go back to sleep till 545 and then start the day god bless you guys

I lived in Jacksonville Florida when I was in my early 20s. I had a 1970 340 duster that would run consistantly at 12.76 all day long. I've had other hotrods throughout my life. Right now I'm 71and without a hotrod so when my health gets better, I'm going to look for another project. I love your show.

I do think there's a lot of families "similar" to yours but what is unique is your TH-cam channel. My family (since we were kids) gets together throughout the summers to spend time camping, hiking, events, etc, spending time together (siblings, children, grandparents, grandkids, etc.). It's great to get together, it's special, it's what I cherish most of my childhood. It's nice that you can share your experiences with others.
Dont try to understand what you can't. Just know that those who can are there. And enjoy seeing folks like you. Humble and grateful. Good home living is all we have. Family and loved ones makes it all worth it.

I've worked on and owned so many of those OBS trucks that I'm always surprised when I see one that has all the inside and outside door handles intact. I always just assume some are broke.
If you guys need Cloyes timing set and or Cloyes timing covers let me know I worked there for years and my family still do I've got approximately 50 sets of timing gears including the dog bone set up and over 30 timing covers if you need anything let me know
Well you all are greatly appreciated the phrase fits so perfectly. We the few with next to nothing accomplish the impossible on a daily basis. I'm just a little older. But my wife and I are out on parts run right now and every now and again she actually helps out. My son just turned 16 and he helps out all the time with project 6.0SS he put an eraser board in garage and we keep checking things off.

I was a firefighter for decades and due to the PTSD it caused I had to leave the job I loved so much A few years after I left , I met my wife and our oldest daughter a year or so after we had our second daughter It use to worry me that they would Never see me and anything much. The 55 is my fav car in the SRC fleet, and is becoming the perfect STREET CAR . Part by part, along with the family time spent together . This car is something special. It is the family HOTROD!

I lived in Jacksonville Florida when I was in my early 20s. I had a 1970 340 duster that would run consistantly at 12.76 all day long. I've had other hotrods throughout my life. Right now I'm 71and without a hotrod so when my health gets better, I'm going to look for another project. I love your show.

I do think there's a lot of families "similar" to yours but what is unique is your TH-cam channel. My family (since we were kids) gets together throughout the summers to spend time camping, hiking, events, etc, spending time together (siblings, children, grandparents, grandkids, etc.). It's great to get together, it's special, it's what I cherish most of my childhood. It's nice that you can share your experiences with others.
Dont try to understand what you can't. Just know that those who can are there. And enjoy seeing folks like you. Humble and grateful. Good home living is all we have. Family and loved ones makes it all worth it.

I've worked on and owned so many of those OBS trucks that I'm always surprised when I see one that has all the inside and outside door handles intact. I always just assume some are broke.
If you guys need Cloyes timing set and or Cloyes timing covers let me know I worked there for years and my family still do I've got approximately 50 sets of timing gears including the dog bone set up and over 30 timing covers if you need anything let me know
Well you all are greatly appreciated the phrase fits so perfectly. We the few with next to nothing accomplish the impossible on a daily basis. I'm just a little older. But my wife and I are out on parts run right now and every now and again she actually helps out. My son just turned 16 and he helps out all the time with project 6.0SS he put an eraser board in garage and we keep checking things off.
