Back in the 1960's, my Dad told me our Government Department of Lands & Forests bought about 50 of these from 1964 to 66, All dark green, and eventually sold them off at auction after their miles got up there. Used to see them on the roads decades after, still clocking along, one tough old truck. A few folks here still call the color Government Green. Cheers

Man, that is one SWEET '64!!! She sits right, looks cool and purrs. Glad you took off the topper, makes her look better. That park ranger green with white bumpers - just a classic 60's look. 10K is a VERY fair deal for a great example. Thanks for all the killer content and the laughs! To you and yours, Duff, and the rest of the locals that make your scene, wishes for all the very best AND an awesome '23!!! Cheers!!!

I like the analogy you made when pointing out the worn spots on the door where the guy rested his arm, I could visualize and see how the paint was worn over time. I like the fact that its all there and the truck was treated like a favorite pair of old shoes. You did some nice subtle touches on a budget to make it more desirable. I think the stance is perfect with just the right amount of rake. The asking price is well worth it for a runner with all new brakes and clutch for someone to have and enjoy as is. Good job brother.
On my 66 GMC, I kept the 15 inch rims it came with, and put 205/70r15's on the front and 255/70r15's on the rear. The 255's are the same diameter as the 235/75r15's it had so the speedo is even right. That gives it a raked front look like an old 70's muscle car. I like it.
Best way to clean the "Rad"....... Get ya some "coil clean" for the radiator it used for outside a/c units spray it on let it fome up spray it off with the garden hose works great on dirty plugged radiators

I remember back in the 70's we used to just "hold your breath" when you're taking those shoes off or air blowing the dust around. Oh, the good ole days when safety was #3.
Well said
Great job on this truck, the hubcaps with white wheels look awesome. One thing I’d do is try pulling the grille out so it’s flush again.
My Monday is now complete. All hail lord duff and the man servant!!!
Very nice Mortske. Keep it up, and of course holidays greetings and the best for 2023 in advance. Greetings from the Netherlands
Love the look just simple and doesn’t take away from the appeal of 60s era trucks
Agreed!
Nice looking truck. Do not drive through fresh picked cornstalks, don't ask. I'm the guy who found an old railroad spike in a quarter section field and wrecked a fairly new tire. She was toast. Merry Christmas
I don’t mind your long videos. Enjoy them. Really like that truck. Hope you can keep it around for awhile. See what the future holds for it. Great job Mortske 👍👍
Thanks!
I love those old trucks my dad had a 64 short bed and a 65 long bed. That’s what we grew up with and he drove the 65 until 2003 that’s when he finally bought a new truck, that’s a truck you cruise around on Sunday with that 193 in there just low and slow
That is wild 194 Cubic Inches 6 cylinder motor in this truck Mortske yes sure sounds nice on fix up and like 292 6 cylinder when tune up right way on kick gas pedal on 2 time and choke cable knob all way out then one gas pedal to floor to and crank over and easy of gas to! Easy to do cold and hot start! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2023 Ahead Mortske Repair :) also everyone!
Merry Christmas Mortske and Duff. Thanks for all fun this year so far.
Same to you!
WOW I can't believe how the truck Looks! SWEET!
Thanks!
another spot on video, i have owned a few of these trucks and always had to torch off the rear spring retainer bolts. the fact that you got a few off of there is a miracle .good job keep the videos coming
get lucky once in a while!
Looks perfect as is. The world doesn’t need another short bed.
Love to see some of these people's rides who sit around and run their Juicers on a keyboard 🤤.
haha
