Another few to try - Andy Gibb ,"I just want to be your everything", Hall & Oats, "She's Gone", Con Funk Shun "Love's Train", and Teena Marie, "Oooo Laa Laaa". This is a mix of Blue-Eyed Soul and Soul
The GAP Band are legendary! Party Train, Early In The Morning, You Dropped a Bomb on Me, Oops Up Side Your Head, and of course Outstanding! All songs you should listen to! Mr. Uncle Charlie Wilson has one of the most distinct voices in music. He's worked with Snoop alot Snoop's Upside Your Head and Signs ft. Justin Timberlake are a couple to listen to. He's still singing too, put out a song just last year with Smokey Robinson called All of My Love. Legend.
Can't leave out "Humpin;"! Jack & Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water, Jack got down & Jill came around & now they have a son & a daughter. 🤣
“Jack and Jill went up the hill to have a little fun. Stupid Jill forgot her pill, and now they got a son!” Say oops upside your head, say oops upside your head!”
I’m so glad you reviewed this song! I love The Gap Band; they have a lot of hits. I always listen to this song when I’m missing my daddy. He passed back in May so now this song is even more special to me. My heart is yearning for him.
They listened to "your my latest, my greatest inspiration by TP about 9 months ago. It killed me because they said in the begining they never heard of Teddy b4. Seriously? NEVER HEARD OF TEDDY PENDERGRASS?? I am afraid his music will be forgotten.
Early in the morning, Humpin, Outstanding, Burn Rubber on Me, and many more to choose from. By the way their name GAP stands for Greenwood, Archer, and Pine. The major roads through "Black Wallstreet" in their hometown of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Gap Band is definitely a favorite of mine ! I still want you guys to react to Lisa Fischer live singing “How Can I Ease The Pain!” I’ve seen several reactions but not yours!
♥️ Gap Band. Timeless songs that will never get old. Good old fashion R & B! Had the pleasure of meeting Charlie at his nephew’s wedding. Hearing him sing live was crazy!
Fred you are definitely an instrument lover. Were you in band in school? The expression you made on that guitar solo was like ok that's kind of 🔥. Great choice. Gap band never disappoints.
Love the flavors of the Gap Band!! Have their greatest hits and play them when I need the energy to "get up" and dance!! Thanks guys for sharing... Love your channel and your enthusiasm for all these different genre's of music. You guys ROCK!! Fro's were "big" back in the day!
Love this song! I see my 17 year old self singing my heart out to a 17 yr old boy who wasn't worth the energy that he can't keep running in and outta my life...brings those memories back everytime I hear it❤
Mmmmmm, I can close my eyes & vision dancing back then.....loving it!!! Nice & smooth!!!! Love your reaction, Tim & Fred!!! I think you'd really like James Ingram, anyone of his songs!!!! 👍🏻😎💃❤☮
Good morning, I hope you both have been doing alright & you're having a good weekend. Thanks for playing this song.... It's one of my favorite songs by The Gap Band. 🙂
Don't forget that Charlie Wison(lead singer) did some incredible songs of his own. I suggest I'm Blessed, Chills, and There Goes My Baby. Listen to anything Charlie Wilson lead sings on, and you won't be disappointed. Peace
THIS!!! Me and hubby have been married since 1988 and this is our jam although neither of us were running in and out, we were solid. Love it! My love passed 6 years ago and this will always be our jam.
Oh my goodness you guys taking me back to a song an old love who was the DJ played when I entered the club with my prior boyfriend. I just was not sure about the DJ who I had only gone out with a few times...but confessed early on he had been watching me for a while and really liked me....but I kept blowing him off. I knew he was using that song to talk to me as he knew my old boyfriend was not the one for me....and he was right.......always fond memories when I hear this GAP BAND classic...BTW after he played Yearning for Your Love...he went right into the Gap Bands "Burn Rubber on Me"...he was still talking to me thru the music...will always love you DW

YESSSSSSSS NO OTHER SONG MATTERS! Oklahoma’s Very Own! Greenwood Archer and Pine! Charlie Wilson is somebody I’ve seen half a dozen times, spectacular performer!
And @ 4:55 whenever he gets to this part of the song in concert, I don’t care when somebody looks at me crazy as I run down the aisle in sync with Charlie and his backup dancers- you know the vibes!
The Gap Band III is easily one of the best funk albums ever made. The Gap Band never topped this album but there was some more great stuff to come - one of their best tracks for me was Don't You Leave Me, an album track from the Gap Band VI - a true forgotten gem. Big respect to Charlie who invited me to video chat with him recently for saying nice things about the Gap Band on another video. Class act and a class guy.
You should find the live version, recorded here in Philadelphia during a Tom Joyner Morning Show. The call/response between the band and the crowd was so much fun.
This hits home. My ex-wife and I separated twice. The 2nd time she left our home I went out and bought this single on 12" inch vinyl to get her back. I was successful. She came back but we still divorced 7 yrs later and I still have this. #Memories.

Uncle Charlie and them are LEGENDARY. Must check out "Outstanding" "Burn Rubber On Me", "You dropped a bomb" and "I'm In Love"
I feel like they did Outstanding, but not 100% sure.
