I recently tried making a chess set out of duct tape but struggled to get any kind of stable structure for the pieces whilst also having them be uniform. I must admit I didn't think to simply opt for 2D pieces.

@@DerekTheDuctTapeMan I tried using things like coins and tools to get them to be uniform but ultimately I wasn't dexterous enough to achieve it whilst also removing the item from within the duct tape. I didn't have enough of the items I tried using to make a set (except the coin part) and even if I did this would have felt more like making the pieces out of something else and using duct tape as a sort of upholstery, for lack of a better word. And at that point I might as well just cover actual chess pieces with tape and that would defeat the purpose of making my own imho
