Last year, I bought a King Canada model KC-20VS milling machine, which is of similar size and weight as this PM-728VT. My mill was delivered, on a pallet, to my garage. My workshop is down a flight of stairs, in my basement. I used the disassembly method, and since i was working by myself, I broke it down to four sections: head, table, column, and base. Strapped each part to a wheeled dolly, and gently walked it down the staircase, one step at a time. I had built my own wheeled bench for my mill. Re-assembled the mill onto my bench, where it has been ever since. Thanks, this is a useful video for anyone considering buying a machine of this size, but concerned about moving it single-handed.
I would have liked to get the 728VT but thought it might be too heavy for my space and went with the 25MV. I used an engine hoist as well. These are really solid built machines. Great video explaining how to lift these milling machines. Also showing the dis-assembly and re-assemby is also helpful. Thanks
