A flat cargo area for the 5 door Suzuki Jimny (Jimny XL).

If you were initially put off the 5 door Suzuki Jimny because the rear seats could not fold flat, there is finally a solution that transforms the rear area into a large flat spacious cargo area similar to that of the 3 door Jimny.
Convert your 5 door jimmy from a 4 seater into a 2 seater with a flat cargo area in a matter of minutes. You'll see there are also tie down brackets. No drilling required, just plug and play.

Interesting why they wouldn’t just carry over the flat trunk gimmick from the 3-door 🤔
Very clever workaround, although I’m curious how the rear cushions will respond to the compression over time.
Regardless, I’m sure Luna approves of the xtra (flat) space for those long trips to the Coromandel 🤙

Hey mr Salad. Yup. Should have come standard.
I think if it’s left permanently flat over a very long time, it could maybe creases or have an effect on the cushion. But I was told during the months of testing that it never had much of an impact or noticeable change. This would probably be used by people who want to use the back seat on a more regular basis.
Luna would love all the new space but she’ll get hair everywhere. I’d need a large rubber tray to keep the carpets clean.

All good points. Regardless , the back seat of a Jimmy isn’t built for comfort anyway 😂.
Dog hair definitely has an affinity toward that type of carpet.. I agree a quick trip to Bunnings for a rubber mat would solve that one 👍.
