This neighborhood looks super familiar to me! (I've lived in Skokie/Morton Grove all my life, recently moved to Highland Park) =) I also own a '06 GX470 and have been debating on whether or not to upgrade to BFGKO2's or the Cooper AT3 4S. What's your honest feedback for the Illinois snow/cold/dry/wet/heat?
Henry Ranola Both tires are amazing from what I have heard. I have only had the BFGKO2’s but ever since I have had them I haven’t ran into any problems what so ever. They are amazing in the snow, on pavement, in the rain and on trails. If you have the means of picking some up I would recommend doing so!
Have you experienced any rubbing with the BFGs? I got (2) 265/70r17’s in excellent condition and I want to go that route but scared of the rubbing. I’m not ready to trim. What’s been your experience?
Daniel Sorg along with 265/70/17 I also have 2 inch spacers. So I had to do a lot of modifications to allow no rubbing. From what I have seen on the forums 265/70/17 should work perfectly and won’t require any trimming!
The throaty muffler is what I enjoy.
I definitely agree, nothing like a nice v8 rumble.
What did you go with? Magna or flowmaster
KO2's are one of the best tires to drive in the snow
Definitely a solid choice, I will be sticking with the BFG branding when it comes to tires in the future.

Do you ever go to River Road Rally Park in McHenry?
Maxim’s DIY Garage I have not gotten the chance to do so yet. I have heard many great things about the park and the trails!
So we don’t need chains ?
Chains always help, but aren’t always legal. Definitely have had no problems with my setup in the Chicago winters!
How’s your mpg with those 265/70 KO2’s?....are you running a lift?
Dominique Stephenson it’s around 18mpg stayed about the same, haven’t really noticed it go down.
