I’m at this point with my h3. No point spending big money on my girl unless I do this now that the tranny in slipping. I always said when one goes they both go. I’m really contemplating duramax tho. 🤷♂️
This way will cost you less in the end. But also Diesel is getting very expensive. A good way to go might be the cheap truck 5.3 motor and convert to E85 or flex fuel. This fuel is always cheaper than even 87 and would drive down the overall cost of ownership of your H3. Diesel will cost more every time you stop at the gas pump.
@@secondshiftperformance yeh I’ve been contemplating the 5.3. I’m kinda just at the point where if I’m going to spend more money I would like to get what I want. I think the h3 should have come with a diesel in it. It’s need the torque badly.
Yes. At a bare minimum you can change the bell housing, the torque converter and the input shaft and the transmission in your truck will connect to the 5.3L. However, I strongly urge you to consider something along the lines of a level 5 or 6 from RPM transmissions. 4L60E is a notoriously unreliable thing and the H3 is full time 4wd.
We left the factory engine controller inside the car to communicate with the instrument cluster. IF you have already lost this option you can look at the Holley Pro Dash. This is a great standalone instrument cluster that will make you very happy once you get it installed and setup.
@@gzhamierashvili OEM instrument panel isn't that great in your position as there will always be warnings and lights showing on it you won't get rid of. The Holley Pro Dash is a novel solution and can have a very complete and finished look to it. It can also be skinned to match any interior.
@@secondshiftperformance I will look after it, what about transmission ? i mean 4wd system ? its simple or also i should expect problems there? i use standalone ecu and all stock harness is removed Thanks guys for your replys
Fixed the biggest problem with the 3.5 motor, ... The 3.5 motor .. good work 😂
