    I don't use a transmission jack, do your self a huge favor and use 2 come a longs on your next job. One on the tail shaft and one towards the front under the bell housing and hook your come a longs to the frame on both sides of vehicle and start lifting, I installed a NV 4500 this way and will never fight a transmission jack again. Also, the jack gets in your way and come a longs don't. Works perfectly, try it and let me know how it goes.

    An awesome video would be an over view of more basic things that are easy to do like the cold air intake, supersparks spring upgrade, corvette servo swap, oil catch can or some other way (I’m unaware of another) for all that oil vapor. (Besides venting to atmosphere) how to port throttle body,etc… love what you’re doing man keep it up

    You are a blessing to the community!!!! Love your videos. Currently I own a H3T V8 w/200k miles. I'm looking to upgrade to an L/S 6.0. I know the transmission will need to be upgraded as well. My current engine harness should be a direct swap. Outside of the trany and a tune what other variables/parts or mods will I have to account for? Thanks....

    Im thinking a put putting my colorado cab and body on a tahoe frame to have all the bigger parts and maybe save some work what do you think about that

      I haven't completed one yet. There are so many variables that it's tough to do a single video. I do have a best practices video I'm working on.

    Love your product brotha and keep smashing at it! And out of curiosity how hard would it be to do a coil over swap to take out the torsion bars to prevent the lower control arm from being ripped off the the frame from the tension??

      Preventing the lca tearing is easy. Het the h3 cross member. The coilover would need to be new uca and you'd likely need to remove quite a bit of the mount as well. Plenty of guys enjoying the h3 suspension swap. I'd wager that and v8 torsion bars is the best option.

    I nvr use trans jack anymore.. ratchet straps or cinch straps.. use them on transfers,trans, n rearends.. it’s hard getting leaf spring pin lined by yurself, not with straps…

    I wonder if this has implications for folks who may be going the opposite direction, in a sense. I have an NB Miata and a spare 3.7 i5 that I’ve been thinking about ways to make work together. V8 roadsters (and others) offer complete tubular subframes for the Miata prefabbed with provisions for mounting LS v8s. This has me thinking that getting the i5 to jive with the LS subframe might worth looking into.

      check out the 4200 i6 motor. i know you already have the 3.7 but the 4.2 is a far better motor. i dont know about packaging in a miata though.

      @@BadlandIndustries Yeah, packaging is what gets you on the miata. These engines are already incredibly tall, so a hood scoop (+minor body lift/subframe spacer) is a must. May need FM suspension lift to avoid dragging the oil pan.
      On the 4200, where do you think I got the spare 3.7 from :). Have a 4200/AR5 swap about 85% done on a '10 regular cab colorado (first drive a couple of weeks ago). It rips. Honestly, I think it's a much better fit with these trucks than the LS. The only real issue is you have to get/make a custom rear sump oil pan.

      You can but theres only been a couple that have successfully done it. There's a 4200 group on fb that contains most of the info. The rest can be found on the 4200 wiki page.

      My project is a 07 H3 hummer and have bought the 5.3 motor but not only needing motor mounts but question is did you have to go with different transmission or just change out the bell housing?

      @@jasonsanders979 you can keep your 4l60e but you'll need the v8 bell housing, torque converter and input drum assembly.

      Yes these are made for the "ls" family of motors

      @@kennethvincent4663 you'd have to fabricate the frame side to match up but that shouldn't be too difficult at all. These mounts are supposed to fit colorados and Canyons.

      I believe so. Idk why you'd want to. Power fuel economy, cost and ease is all favoring the LS
