Hi Sarah, I'm a Yorkshire lad, living in Devon. I find you most inspiring, just watched your latest vid, and had a cry along with you. I work in the care industry too, and it's draining. So lovely to come camping with you, in a vicarious way. Such a beautiful sunrise. So, thank you for your kindness and generosity. I can see you have a very kind heart ❤❤ Tony in Exeter.

Hi Sarah and good to see you back out wild camping and at that great little spot several of us love, I have thoughts of a camp up there soon, its got everything you want. I,am suprised not many other people have camped and filled the log in, perhaps because it is hidden, all the better for us that know about it. Hopefully when your house is finished it will give you more time to get out, mind you something else will crop up, speaking from experience I still struggle to get time out, all the best for now......thanks Pat

Hey Pat 😍 there was nowhere else I’d have rather been that night. I am drawn to it when I need something and on that camp it was energy that I needed to replenish. I’ve said this before but it represents a charging station for me and I gain a great deal of comfort and connection up there which is (I feel) evident in my video. Emotions took me by surprise but I thought sod it I’ll share that cos it’s real and human experience. Camps can feel so simple at times yet so profoundly moving. Looking forward to your next outing Pat of Pats Place ❤️⛺️✨✨✨✨✨✨

Hiya Sarah, My names Chris. I'm new to your channel and currently blitzing through your videos. I turned 40 in April and took up WildCamping a week later. 😁 I feel exactly the same way you do and for the reasons you've said is also why I really enjoy camping solo. The peace and solitude, sat there in the morning drinking a hot brew by yourself...There's no better feeling. I'm also recovering from alcohol addiction (Day 1024) and I find camping has really helped keep My brain and body occupied and it's honestly humbled Me a whole lot!...I think My Wife enjoys me heading out since she can then catch up on her rubbish telly...I cant be dealing with Big Brother or Love Island at the best of times! 🙄🤣
Keep up the hard work and great content Sarah...From a wet and windy South 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
    Enjoy!! 🎒🏕️

This comment has made my day Chris. Thank you for sharing your motivation for camping. I can guarantee you will be inspired to keep camping, hopefully through the colder months which in my opinion are the best albeit a little more challenging but I reckon that’s what I enjoy. Camping is the best self care, being in your own thoughts when you are truly happy is very comforting. My husband doesn’t share my joy of camping but he knows when I need to go and he will support me and never worries, he knows id go anyway even without a blessing. I know I can go off guilt free for my self. You may notice that I don’t drink on my camps either. Maybe when I started I’d take a tipple and even have a hip flask with my name in it but I choose not to drink these days. I just don’t need it and I feel very lucky to say that. Wishing you all the best in your sobriety. It’s very close to my heart 🏕️

Fingers crossed we get some snow! 🤞❄️😁 I've not wished for snow since I was a kid, I usually moan when it does. 😁 (Bloody snow, go away I need to drive to work!) 😅 I watched your recent video of your camp at Carls Wark and strangely enough I'm out on a reccy today near the Brecon Beacons also up to an Iron age hill fort. I will definitely be showing My respect in the same way you had after watching your video!...Btw I think you definitely made the right call to leave when you did. 👌 If something doesn't feel right, or a little off I think I would do exactly the same thing. The only thing I don't understand is why I keep seeing countless people cooking right in front of their tent when I keep being told that I should cook around 100 meters away from my campsite to avoid food smells attracting animals to my tent while I sleep. Loved the kit demo 👍. I reckon Diana will be fine in the winter, i was out a couple of weeks ago and the wind gusts hit 45mph. Decent winds up on Crook Hill a few months back and after that I needed to modify the four corners of the tent. They take a lot of strain in string winds. Feels better now I have 2 pegging out point som each .She doesn’t budge and let’s face it she’s designed for

Yes! Hrs spent in the winter tents on cold nights when it’s dark at 15:30, I remember it well. I’m quite content with the space in the Xmid, it’s probably more spacious than the Soulo too! For me there’s ample room inside for my standard short length mat about a foot and a half either end! And some space to one side of my mat. It’s the solid version yes. I honestly can’t fault it. Apart from swapping out the corner guy lines and adding another loop to enable 2 pegging out points at each corner incase of high winds. 😁👍🏕 Hiya Sarah. Great little spot, awesome sunrise, plenty of chatter and a good catchup.. That was the day I arrived back from Dartmoor after a spending 2 weeks up in the highlands then 2 weeks trekking dartmoor, both trips utterly wet and windy. I knew that day was going to be good but 1 I was shattered 2 all my gear needed drying out 3 typical the sun came out..
I used my durston X-Mid 1p solid on both trips back to back two nights of which the Durston was at its limit due to high winds ( gusts from 30-40 mph up on the dartmoor Tors and during storm Lillian up on the affric kintail way ).. looking ahead, I'm using mine for winter wildcamps Sarah but only if it's settled weather, don't mind frost or snow but high winds and driving rain the Durston was uncomfortable. I would use Hilary if in doubt regarding the winter weather Sarah. But for those clear still frosty even snow covered times, I would use the Durston. I also upgraded my sleeping bag to a new Robens Serec Lite 500 duck down bag rated comft-10 etreme-25 so should be toasty for our winters 😁 packs down nicely to, full length zip if it gets too warm 😁 coupled with my big Agnes rapidly sl I should be good to go 😁
One big tip for the Xmid if caught out in rain and blustery winds, close the air vents both ends as the rain came in on me one night and soaked the inner. Luckily it didn't drip through, but once wet it took awhile to dry it out properly during my treks 😁 Good to see you out n about and takecare x
