Matt thanks so much for doing this. As a TCU fan I feel really sad for him having been in San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl. It is all on him and his bad choices. Quite a contrast with another TCU quarterback Max Duggan who dealt with the same pressures. Travon was more talented in my mind but character counts. In Lubbock and watched Travon beat a Texas Tech team lead by another QB with character and talent - Maholmes

Boykin was just the 5th player in the 10,000-2,000 club. Dan LeFevour, Kaepernick, Mariota, RG3, and Jayden Daniels just became the 6th. Tebow was about 800 passing yards away and Lamar was about 900 passing yards away. Deshaun Watson was less than 70 yards rushing away. Idk who else was close but I’m sure there’s a couple more close maybe, maybe not.

23:39 I think this is important to note about abusive people - theyre always the last people you'd expect because they know how to only be openly abusive in private, and after the honeymoon phase of the relationship. That's why so many abusive people are able to find new victims even after being outed - they're good at convincing others that they're genuinely good people who are being framed, or made a regrettable decision. I agree and also disagree how surprising it is that the same man who had such a wholesome moment with a young fan turned out to be such a monster - you'd never expect someone that outwardly loving to be abusive, but again, abusive people know how to put up that front. Anyways, fantastic job on this one.

Yet another banger from ol' Matt. As for Trevone, here's my take on him. I recognize that he's in a good mind state and trying to better his community nowadays; but there's also that assault of his gf at the time, as well as all the other stuff. Be that as it may, he seems to at least acknowledge that he was kind of a dink not too long ago; and knowing he can't change that past, he works toward a better future for himself and those around him. Really, that's the best approach you can take in a scenario of that ilk. I can see why folks would forgive or condemn him; and frankly, I tend to do both in a sense. In any case, he's no saint and neither am I. All we can hope for is that he, and the population at large, continue to grow as people. Sorry if that's a bit long-winded, but there's a lot to say about stories such as this.

Cheap shot, a'hole. Every team, even your JMU, gets the occasional "knucklehead," as Coach Patterson would put it. TCU has no history of coddling or covering up for the few athletes who screw up. (Contrast the Baptist School about 90 miles south that notably went the other way for a few years.) The two best-known QBs in recent TCU history are Andy Dalton and Max Duggan, two of the most squeaky-clean "good guys" ever to play the game.

As the baby develops during pregnancy, the left side of the heart does not form correctly. Hypoplastic left heart syndrome is one type of congenital heart defect. Congenital means present at birth. I’m 18 years old about 8 or 9 months ago In my I was going to Philadelphia for a procedure we picked Philly bc they were #1 in the country that was supposed to prolong my heart so the longer the better because when or if I get a new heart i will have more medication to take so anyway I went to the procedure and somehow the doctor messed up on something in my stomach but the doctor told my mom that it was a easy fix so she signed the paper to proceed bc the doctor told her everything that she needed to know and she trusted him so they go in with the second procedure and they nixed all 3 areas in my bile duck the pancreas, liver and the pancreas so they couldn’t fix it my parents are not happy keep in mind my dad is in the military and my mom is medical so they decided after the second procedure that was enough and they called all around the south to take care of me and meanwhile I’m depressed because the rooms were really dark I couldn’t eat and I could only have water so Cincinnati happily took me into their hospital they were #1 in pancreas in the country I went to Philly to get something done on my heart so in July I got transferred to Cincinnati and went back in and the pancreas doctor found the leek and he told my parents that he found it and fixed it but you can’t fix a pancreas it has to heel on it’s own and by doing that is not eating or drinking bc every time you eat or drink anything I would puke it right up so I would have to take TPN and Lipids which means your getting all of your food and nutrients in my central line so I get off TPN and Lipids and after 7 months I got to go home on December 13th 2 days before my brothers 20th birthday I’m still processing on my eating and drinking i can drink anything but I just can’t eat anything with a lot of Fat in it but it’s better than a tube up my nose and being stuck in a hospital bed and I’m a huge foodie so it’s really hard but each and everyday I’m getting better and if you are reading this and if you’re having a bad day anything is possible. To answer your question about offended by the way he answered that last question? Offended is probably not the right word, but disappointed and disgusted are more on point. He didn’t show any type of remorse towards breaking her face and honestly really didn’t take accountability for it by how he answered that statement. I have two younger sisters, so it’s hard for me to not answer this from a more protective primal instinct because if someone did that to one of my sisters, how do you think it’s going to possibly play out?
It’s one thing to make an egregious mistake & sincerely show contrition, remorse, and accountability for doing it. But to me, he didn’t really do that at all. He was a privileged guy that never was taught he will be completely accountable for his actions due to his athleticism and success as a football player. Really you can see the only remorse he has is that cost him millions of dollars in the NFL when it comes down to it imo. The eyes don’t lie nor the tone of voice (unless you’re a sociopath).

I think explained more eloquently the "Hurt me worse than anyone" thing could have made a lot more sense. He went from a practice squad player making nearly a million a year and having the chance to jump on a roster as soon as a bunch of QB's get hurt like they always do to now having very minimal "publicly visible position" job prospects, a reputation that will never fully go away and whatever civil damages he eventually has to pay his ex-girlfriend. She was the most hurt in the short term and he owes her a lot of sincere atonement, but in the long term he hurt himself severely. She has moved on to a- almost certainly due to how it was previously - better life while he has to think about the life he threw away every day.
TL;DR- Her Jaw and his reputation both broke in three places. Hers will fully heal in less than a year. His might just start to repair after a few decades.

Absolutely I forgive him. Everybody deserves a second chance after they hit rock bottom. It can change people for the better. We all should give people a chance for redemption because you never know what a person can turn into. A caterpillar has to turn into a butterfly eventually, sometimes it just takes some time in the cocoon.

Sounds like a narcissist to me! His response should have been i hurt that woman really bad and I feel terrible about it. Then he says he lost his parents and thats why he acted the way he did? Another excuse to put pitty on himself! Hes a piece of crap that should still be locked up because id be willing to bet he gets in more trouble down the line in a similar fashion! Jmo!

In my HS and college playing days, I had all sorts of insults and items thrown my way. Thing is, I didn’t know it. I was too into the game to even notice. Whether it was football, basketball, hockey, baseball or track, I zoned out during competition and never heard a word.
My parents and teammates would tell me all sorts of things people were saying and throwing…I just never knew. 😂😂😂

This is the kind of situation Coach prime does not want for his players. That’s why Character is his most important trait. You can’t coach that!!! It’s got to be more than football talent. This is another cautionary tale of how to destroy your life and career….smh.😢😢😢

"Stealing money from your fans is the worst thing you can do."😐 Breaking your girlfriends jaw in 3 places is the worst thing you can ever do, + having to have your jaw wired shut in 3 places should be the main thing that's talked about. It's almost like physically beating a woman is not taken that seriously 😐 It seems like in this video, he's getting a pass for beating his girlfriend half to death, and he deserves a second chance even though he's an abusive assh-le!!

*** Some information it seems you desperately need. College players and NFL players. When you see them, on pictures with special needs children or at hospitals. Charity events and so on. The college athletic department and the NFl team advertising and even coordinaters set those things up. It's a absolute requirement by most NFL owners that their players participate in at the least one thing that the organization requires them to participate in. It's not something they come up with on their own. It means absolutely nothing most of the Time as related to their character. Their told do this it will help your image and the image or the organization or college program. It wasn't aware that so few sports fans didn't know that. Seriously it's not remotely a significant thing if you see a famous person doing something charitable. I mean it's been public information for years how most of these people don't truly care or do nothing after they set up a situation to make them selves look good

But it's the mother of his child so his anger caused him his career...

Hey Matt I agree 100 on your comments about the XFL I really enjoyed the games this weekend. I wouldn't have watched the Brahma game if Nascar didn't suck. I'm looking forward to the Thursday night game. My team because of AJ will be the Brahmas from here on out. I'm wondering what Fox is going to do with the USFL when it starts up their season. I hope that they don't ruin it like they did with Nascar.

He should be thankful he just had to sit out his final game. If that was any one of us regular people would be sitting in prison for hitting a police officer. I hate how these entitled players get away with s*** we wouldn't. Just like when they get in a fight on the field. It's not part of the game just like major league baseball or the NBA. We would get arrested for it they just have to sit out a few games face no charges or anything so I don't feel a damn bit sorry for any of them
