- This is my review of the Ghost Rider by Jason Aaron Omnibus! This beautiful hardcover has some nice art by Roland Boschi, Tan Eng Huat and the great Tony Moore! As always I include some high resolution scans taken directly from the pages of the book.

After more than four decades collecting and reading comicbooks and related pop culture (TV, movies, video games, etc) as of 2022 I am sharing reviews/overviews of my collection. The plan is at least one new video every Monday!

That’s a deluxe hardcover rather than an Omni. You’re right - it should’ve been the complete series. Gun nuns - lol. Seriously hilarious. Like a Tarantino movie.
It's VERY much like a Tarantino movie!
Totally agree on omni sizes. Ideally, 700-800 pp. Those mega 1000+ omnis are just really hard to handle and their pages almost always buckle. You can avoid the pages buckling with really high quality binding. I remember massive volumes in the library from my college and grad school days, so it can be done. But those volumes were also very expensive, even for that size. Making mega omnis with that quality level of binding would probably make them too expensive for the market.
Very well possible. The beautiful Library Editions that Dark Horse (and similar books from Image) are usually 300-600 pages and they are VERY robust. I like those a lot too.
Great review, Larry.
Thanks Deathtone!
I agree. They should've released an omnibus compiling the entire volume. At the very least they should've included the Danny Ketch miniseries ("Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch" #1-5 by Spurrier and Saltares (2009)) that is relevant to Aaron's run. And the second annual I believe.
Yes I guess if they did it they way I would prefer this would be like "Ghost Rider Omnibus volume 8" or 9 even! But they COULD have done it as "Ghost Rider: The Zadkiel War" or something if they wanted to avoid such a later volume numbering.
Interesting, as someone that only likes 90s Ghost Rider, would you recommend?
I remember Very Fine Condition not loving it and never bought it.
I would! I loved it and also like the 90's GR....although I like the classic OG series more
I think the take away is that this is better than Saga.
Are you picking up TMNT Alpha which has Aaron's prologue to new TMNT? I enjoyed it.
I haven't went down the TMNT rabbit hole as of yet.
@@LarrysLibrary oh, boy...can't wait for those omni buys:)
@@GoreVidalComicbooks I dunno if I ever will. If I did I would have to start with the original series for sure.
Size issues aside, is this an okay omnibus for someone who has read very little if any Ghost Rider?
Probably not the best choice as this begins right after a huge REVEAL concerning his origin.
@@LarrysLibrary Okay, thanks. Maybe I'll wait for the Danny Ketch omnibus then instead.
