Bought my built STI from local shop, Kinetic motor sports. Been driving it for a few years with no problems. They down tunned it to around 400hp, but was 450 wheel. Lot's of fun for a grocery getter.
TPG is in export near Pittsburgh. Had my STI tuned there. Nate was great and supported my tune remotely for years afterwards. I would just email him whatever parts I put on…Id 1050s, FPR, etc, and he would send me a new map and go back and forth with logs to get it nailed down. Great company.
I have the blouch 5056XT upgrade with ETS everything else on my VB, dam i wish i got the G30-770 kit. would only be like 2k more than what i have in it. either way, i am planning STI trans, head studs and fuel pump upgrade. hoping to be in the 500 Hp club on e40-50 someday
Sti trans going into my car. I had the 30-770 kit but I’m going fully custom route right now. I was at around 550hp right and now going to change up my setup. I’ve actually posted my turbo kit for sale lol. I have a custom fuel system and built motor getting worked on right now 😎

HeavyMetalWRX, i just spent a bunch of time trying to find videos and pictures of other modified VB WRXs for inspiration as I embark upon my modding journey. There really isnt a great deal out there, you'd definitely fill a vacuum showcasing subscribers' cars, qnd would help folk trying to make their own awesome version. I'd also like to see info on aerodynamics options that actually work and visual modifications that capture more of the personalized aethetic potential. Cars have long been a symbol for American individualism, and are one of the few ways extremely communal societies have to rebel. The WRX captures this concept for me.
@@HeavyMetalWRX I'm sorry if you thought I was criticizing you, what I meant is that there's a lot untapped concerning this car and the community...by anyone. The best I've seen from anyone has been your tuner interviews, I've learned a lot. You're a primary reason I bought the TR instead of the GT, both from your review and mod videos. I literally watched your review and said screw it, met my wife at the dealership, traded her car in and bought the TR. She wanted my Outback Wilderness and I've missed actually enjoying driving a car. I'm working on the warranty preserving mods, like effective aero, OEM short shifter, wheels, suspension, etc. Gonna be cherry blossom red kit on magnetite gray, aesthetic focused on cyberpunk, and big power mods when I'm confident driving a manual again, and that my car isn't a lemon. A periodic review of cars that have been submitted to you would be great, I'll send you some stuff when I've actually done something as it's only been a week since purchasing 😂
All of these are awesome cars! Would be so much fun to have a car like those. I agree, drag is cool, but ripping turns is more my style. I am gonna visit Calvo motorsports in Denver soon cause I wanna check out their 3000hp Viper. I also wanna ask them if they do work on any wrx models. Maybe they will take mine on as a project wrx lol. One can dream right?
Hey! TPG tuning is located in export Pennsylvania, kinda near Pittsburgh. They are really friendly guys, I’m sure if you reached out to them they would be able to have you out!
I think Mikey moved into the A90/BMW platforms more now. He has some records on the A90. Love your videos and will continue to watch even though I moved to an A90. I think JR was doing something with the VB as well but I'm not 100% sure.
@@HeavyMetalWRX haha fair. I stay away from the VB Facebook page for the most. So only the OGs and a few shops know me😅😅😅 I had one of the first turbo kits at initial launch and got it at the same with with Joey. I did a 22psi tune at 430hp and bumped it up to 30psi and it’s at 530-550 right now. Im actually selling the turbo kit for a full custom rotated/port injection kit. I’m building my motor right now to hold 1000 but I’m being realistic and think I’ll prob hit like 750-800 to the wheels lmao

They’re going to tune my VB and install coils next year! Can’t wait
Nate is a beast at TPG, he's been tuning my FA20 since like 2017 - I've been on their dyno 4 different times and my car is still going strong.
Yep did mine 2x they even let me use their shop car to take home to WV hours away..

From my understanding the stock pump is enough the injectors are the problem.
