    My first NFL game I ever attended was Randy Fasani's Panther debut versus the Bucs in Charlotte. I was 11 years old and I was hoping for an exciting game! The final score, 12-9, all field goals. I was disappointed but I realized then that you don't go to an NFL game to watch a game but to be part of an electric atmosphere. Despite the lackluster game, it is a fond memory of mine.

    Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw, the 1st overall pick in 1970, started the first 7 games of his rookie season before being benched for being so awful. His rookie season's stats:
    13 games (8 starts), 38% competition percentage, 6 TDs, 24 INTs (leading the league)
    He was so bad that in the 13th game he is credited as playing, he only played as the team's punter - something he hadn't done all season.

    I’m surprised nobody ever talks about how the bills finally made the playoffs after 17 years and on a game winning drive the man that would have easily gotten them the win, Tyrod Taylor, gets injured and Nathan Peterman, the man that threw 5 INTs in one half in his starting debut, comes in the finish the drive and on his first pass throws an INT and loses the game

    Hey KTO amazing video, but I have a video idea for you.
    What about a video of Tavon Austin?
    I think that would be an amazing video for you to do one day or so.
    I think you'll be pretty surprised about him.

    I once watched Alex Van Pelt and the 1-10 Bills battle the 1-10 Panthers led by Chris Weinke. The Bills won their only home game that season after overcoming a 24-6 deficit at halftime. I had season tickets and went to every home game that year.....ooof.

    So, Favre too has thrown 6 interceptions in a game. Here’s a hypothetical: what if he threw those six interceptions in his debut instead of after he already won 3 MVPS and a super bowl? History would have been very different.

    I was shocked when Bill benched Tyrod Taylor. Don't bench qbs that are winning you games while you are in a playoff hunt. Especially not after you had years of not making playoffs with qbs that could not hit semi truck if they stood 10 feet away from one. My team is Cleveland Browns (not a fan of Deshaun), you can guess how "well" my team did that season.

    KTO I wrote a comment on this video a couple days ago thanking you that you talked about Alex Smith... Now I wrote my comment very long and it's because Alex Smith is one of my favorite players of all time.... Alex Smith story and career is something very interesting and he can inspire and teach us a lot and I've been hoping that the football life will do a episode on him but I don't think they're going to so I was hoping to go that you do a video on Alex Smith.... There's so much to talk about Alex Smith and his journey to being the number one draft pick in 2005 to retiree just a year ago... No as of 49er fan there were times where I got frustrated with Alex Smith but I wanted him to be successful.. and being a boy overall in a draft and so much pressure on you not to mention that your career will always be linked to Aaron Rodgers who had to wait almost 3 hours in Green room and people made a huge deal about that and I thought that was so dumb and overrated what's so damn hard about singing in a seat for 3 hours where there's players who don't even get drafted and other players that get cut in college and other players who don't even see a varsity football field yet to see a NFL football field... You can talk about how Mike know and drafted him and how they bumped heads and my feeling even publicly criticize and question his toughness.. that they expected Alex Smith all by himself to turn a team around that was 2 and 14 the year before... You can talk about how his debut against the colts like you did were awful and his number is in his first rookie year was one touchdown and 11 to 18 interceptions... The following year he should promise in the after that he got hurt and was done for the season when Mike know and hire Mike marks Alex needs lost that competition to JT O'Sullivan and then when Mike knowing got fired and interim head coach Mike singletary took over and even called out one of his players Vernon Davis people saw also that he was getting to be a bus but him being thrown into the locker room by Mike singletary during a football game was the best thing that ever happened to Davis and he became one of the best tight ends... Then when Mike singletary became the head coach he had to first round picks and people didn't know if he was going to use one of those pics to sign a quarterback but no with a 49ers did sign to offensive All pro Mike upatti and Anthony Davis who was also a very talented offensive lineman.. and they went ate for eight and The following season it seem like they regressed and you had that infamous Sunday night against the eagles where Mike singletary is chewing out Alex Smith and at the end of that season Michael singletary gets fired and makes comments that you need a quarterback and Alex Smith contract was up and he and 49ers thought that there will be the end of their time together but here comes Jim harbaugh who not only thought that Alex Smith was a good football player he convinced him to come back and play for him... Because if you to a different team most likely he'll be a second string.. I remember the fans and the media were criticizing Jim harbaugh for that but that 2011 season is special.. because that was The rebirth of Alex Smith and people say that he was just a game manager you know what maybe they're right he was a game manager but he was the best game manager.. and that's when the 49ers won their division went to the playoffs against a powerful offense that set records New Orleans saints and Alex Smith had a 49ers went toe to toe with Drew Brees and did the catch three with Vernon Davis and if Kyle Williams did not fumble one of those two turnovers he did 49ers will not only one the NC championship but would have won the super bowl in my opinion but the following year Jim harbaugh dresses Colin Kaepernick
    . In the second round and the very beginning before you guys played really good but Alex Smith got a concussion and the following game against the bears Colin Kaepernick took over and torture the best defense and Jim harbaugh decided to go with Colin Kaepernick.. it was said that Alex Smith understood it he didn't get mad about it and he understood that it wasn't because he was doing a bad job it was the fact that Colin Kaepernick had gave it before 9 hours more options because he was a better runner.. then they trade into Kansas City he helps Kansas City turn their franchise around and mentored to Patrick mahomes and goes to Washington it's that near death injury that not only there's a good chance he would have lost his leg but his life but he's for that he'll be back in the football field which he did..... And he won't come back player of the year.... Man I did it again I wrote my long comment but please Mr kto you can make a great video on Alex Smith and you can go to details when you do your research and I promise you you won't be disappointed and you can learn a lot from Alex Smith for an example if you're in a situation that you don't like or it's very hard.. either you can have a bad attitude or you can suck it up and make the best out of it that's what Alex Smith said normally if any player was in his possession he would have either been forced into retirement because no teams would want him or you were quit voluntarily for which most people would have but he never gave up.. and if you need money to make a Alex Smith video please just give me the cash account and I'll send the money right away

    I love waiting for the last play you show, cause I know the drop is always going to be great. Also, I'm assuming you have to put the highlights in the TV in the living room format because of copyright. If that's the case, the NFL sucks.

  • @achilles9448
    @achilles9448 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey KTO... I always enjoy your videos and we all appreciate your hard work by making these videos for us... But this video is probably one of my favorites because somebody finally told that Alex Smith story correct... No I'm a 49er fan and I remember 2 and 14 and we ended up being the number one overall in the 2005 draft and getting number one overall Alex Smith.... I don't think anybody went through as much hardships in their NFL career and then Alex Smith.. at the time it was head coach Mike Nolan who came from the Baltimore Ravens defense coordinator and he wasn't just that head coach for the San Francisco 49ers he was also the general manager... It was said that Mike Nolan had so much power in San Francisco when he first started there... Now in the beginning of the 2005 season Alex Smith didn't start.. it was actually Tim Rattay who got the starting job but the first four games the 49ers was 1 -3 so I'm like no one decides to start Alex Smith against the Indianapolis colts and candlestick and at that time the colts had Peyton Manning... I remember feeling really curious of how he's going to play and it has to be one of the worst debut as a quarterback can get.. his quarterback rating was 0.8 but to be fair the San Francisco 49ers at that time was really a horrible team they didn't have a defense or offense and even set records for the office of having the lowest yardage per game and they scored the least amount of touchdowns in the NFL and it wasn't until the last very game against the Houston Texans and I was actually there when Alex Smith threw his first touchdown pass to Brandon Lloyd his numbers were one passing touchdown and 11 interceptions... Is 49ers finish the season 4 and 12 but the following season to 49ers hired North Turner he is supposed to be one of the best offensive minds at that time and Alex Smith really improved and they went 7-9 and even stop the Denver broncos for making the playoffs.. everybody in the Bay area thought the next step is having a weenie season but they didn't and Alex Smith actually regressed and he got hurt early in the season and was done for the season. Mike Norway said publicly that he questions Alex Smith toughness that he thought he was faking his injury. Alex Smith did not fire back he didn't say one word and he just kept working hard for The following season.. now in 2008 Mike Nolan hires Mike markz but the 49ers struggled really bad that the San Francisco 49ers fired Mike Nolan and they gave the head coaching position to Mike's singletary... Please seem at the time a really good coach a type of person that can motivate you become better or want to be better.. we all remember what he did to Veron Davis who got a first down in a game against Seattle then he grabs the opponents face mask and got unsportsmanlike penalty and you can Mike singletary yelling at him at the locker room and told him to go to the locker room when he did.. but the 49ers end up having a losing record the following season Mike singletary end up being the head coach permanent and the 49ers actually went 8-8 now that wasn't a losing record and it was the first time they didn't have a losing record since I want to say back in 2003 but again the 49ers played horrible in 2010 season and that infamous Sunday night game where Alex Smith is playing so poorly that head coach Mike singletary was yeah I him on national television but the 49ers were being blown out and you hear the chance of we want car meaning that they wanted to backup quarterback David Carr and the following game against the Rams they end up losing that game and singletary that fire and there was only one game left in the 2010 season.. the end of the last game with internship head coach Tom sula... And Alex Smith career in San Francisco I feel like it was going to be the last because his contract was up and everybody thought that he wasn't going to come back and my singletary said that you need a quarterback to win in this league which it was shots at Alex Smith... But here comes Jim harbaugh who has reputation of taking back teams to good teams... When he became the head coach of San Francisco 49ers officially he went out and met Alex Smith and they threw the ball around... It was said that they got along good.. and Jim harbaugh told them if you go to free agency most likely you'll be a backup quarterback.. so why not just resign with the 49ers here and you can be my starter it will be better for Jim harbaugh getting Alex Smith rather trying to find a quarterback that was still on the free agent market... Media and the fans were happy that Jim harbaugh Kansas San Francisco but they said it was the first big mistake Jim harbaugh did was to bring back Alex Smith.. but that 2011 season was special because the end of beating Seattle Seahawks on opening day but they end up losing and overtime against the cowboys and every thought it's going to be one of those seasons but it wasn't because the phone game they beat the Cincinnati Bengals and then against the so-called dream team of Philadelphia eagles they were down 23 to 3 but the 49ers end up coming back and winning that game thanks to Justin Smith... Now Alex Smith didn't have elite numbers but he learned of taking the ball and not making any mistakes and people say that he was just a game manager and maybe that's true but he was the best game manager and 49ers finally went to the playoffs and have that legendary game against the saints when Vernon Davis did the catch three and beat New Orleans saints were there offense set records that season and if Kyle Williams did not fumble the ball in the NC championship most likely natural won that game and beating the Patriots and Alex Smith got a new contract but the 49ers drafted Colin Kaepernick and Alex Smith was playing really good until he got hurt but the 49ers decided to go with Colin Kaepernick.. and you would think that Alex Smith would be a very upset about it but no he was understanding he kept quiet and he supported Colin Kaepernick and then he went to Kansas City he got very well over there and he mentored Patrick mahomes and then he went to Washington got that near death injury and almost lost his but the doctors find out that there's a chance he might not live because of affection and then he comes back and finishes with Washington but ever since 2011 he has never had a losing record and he is the only quarterback to start three different teams on opening day.... I was hoping that football life will do a story about his career and getting to more depth... A lot of people who are looking to be successful but want to be motivated look at Alex Smith now he was dealt a very bad hand throughout his career but he made the best of it and if he had a negative attitude about it who knows how long else would have stayed in the NFL but no he took all his criticism and never ever fought back well I shouldn't say that he did fight back it was on the field... And you won't come back players of the year
    I'm sorry for this long comment it's just that Alex Smith is still one of my favorite players and I would like to see the NFL do a documentary on him because a lot of people can relate to it

    Alex Smith's career being turned around is because of Jim Harbaugh, just to make sure nobody forgets that. 2011 and Harbaugh's first year was the first time watching the 49ers was bearable in a long fucking time and there's a reason so many players retired and left when Jed York and Trent Baalke started blowing it all up out of spite.
