The 2011 quarterback draft class was one of the most disappointing ever. It's crazy to look back and see what people were saying, like how Blaine Gabbert was a "safer pick" than Cam Newton.

You had Andrew Luck and OROY Robert Griffin III. You had late-bloomer Ryan Tannehill. You had Brock Osweiler, who was a massive free agency bust late in his career, but before that, in 2015, he did go 5-2, which was key for the Broncos to go on their Super Bowl run. Not to mention Super Bowl Champion Russell Wilson and Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles. In the late rounds, you also have Kirk Cousins, who's a pro-bowler and a solid starter. Not to mention, at they very tail end of all of that, you have Case Keenum as an undrafted free agent.

Let's not also forget that the Panthers are/were hated almost as much as Cam. We were the uninvited guest to the party in 2015, all because we're a small market team with almost no bandwagon fans. I would even argue that we are more hated than the Patriots/Buccaneers.

This literally reminds me of the niners right now. Mac jones is blaine gabbert and Fields is cam newton. A bunch of negative things said about fields but mac jones is intelligent and throws the ball with anticipation. Kind of crazy how these line up!

The Big 12 had better defenses in Gabbert's time. It wasnt until later that the offenses started going off. And cross-conference games imply that Big 12 defenses can stop other conferences just fine while Big 12 offenses still put up big numbers.
