I will never be interested in an EV. I would prefer a straight 4 in a compact truck as I don't want the maintenance that a Hybrid creates. A compact 4 cyl. truck with a 5' bed and that can tow between 3 and 4000 lbs is all I'm asking for. I don't trust the turbo in the Tacoma and want the V6 back, but, will still consider it if that's all that is on offer. I have owned Tacoma's for two decades now and still drive a 2014 V6 4x4 Taco. The main issue I have with Toyota is their pricing. In Canada I have to pay mid 50's for a mid-size truck + tax/fees and with ridiculous interest they've pushed me out of the market. I won't go in debt for a vehicle. They're creating a market in which the people who need a truck can no longer afford to buy one. If you only want to sell to contractors and people who can write off some of the expense so be it, but, you've lost me as a customer. If Toyota wants me back they can recognize who their real customers are and what the price point should be. This might require a change of leadership as they currently are not aware of who their core buyer is.
Tacoma can be rescued with a V6 engine and Toyota is ready to bring it back!
