What did you think of this new style of blending science and real world techniques?

I liked this blend. The science explains why I have such a hard time with affirmations!

The way that I dealt with feeling worthless is realising that as soon as I don't cause harm to others with my way of living I have the worth to live my life without guilt. All people have the right to live their life. Life isn't only about productivity ,making an impact ,doing something extraordinary ,being loved from many people or anything else for that matter. Just by existing and not harming anybody you are enough, if you want to do something more than that that's good but it's not necessary.

I say mean stuff to myself all the time :( A good reminder that if I wouldn't speak to someone else that way, I shouldn't say it to myself.

Really loved the video format combining what science says, and then your more human approach and understanding of it :)

My two cents about self worth and self respect.
Try to shift your focus away from the end results and more into progress and action, less about who or what you are and more into where you place effort.
If you struggle with self image and you try to "be a good person", you'll always find yourself lacking. All of us are wired to be lazy and self-absorbed by nature, even the seemingly best among us are oftentimes struggling to live by their personal values. None of us will ever be finished products. If we would, we might as well drop dead after, cause there'd be nothing left to accomplish.
So, instead of "Am I a good person?" try "Do I have good intentions towards people and am I making effort to give joy/be trustworthy/be helpful?" Instead of "Am I fit and healthy?" try "Am I making conscious choices to better my health?" And instead of "Am I smart or stupid?" try "Am I challenging myself mentally to learn and grow?"
Also remember that us humans are not meant to feel good all the time. Not all uneasy feelings are a curse and a disease in and of themselves (clinical depression aside). Often they are a valuable message that something needs to change. That something doesn't need to be all of you or all aspects of your life though. Little tiny baby steps towards where you want to go may be enough to greatly boost your self-esteem if you learn to value moving forward instead of reaching a destination.

On low self esteem periods I used to listen to your podcast all the time and it definitely made me feel better, but what do you do if tou don't get back to your 'regular' levels?
