Need help as im stuck in dublin😂, starter seems to be at fault in my VW GOLF, seen the video on the starter relay but if its not the relay is there any other way to bypass the starter, battery is good
The regeneration and cleaning might help the car in short run, but what I clearly see as an issue here are the codes related to glow plugs. These systems are fully interconnected and if it is not rectified (changing all glow plugs and the module), the car will not regenerate after cleaning again. Same is the temperature of the coolant itself as it has to reach 75 degrees. So also worth checking all the thermostats.
Carried out this procedure today with success - dpf is now fine. Only difference, it took a “spirited drive” to blow it all out completely. Thanks a lot for sharing, much appreciated 👍
great job tks i will give it a go on my x5 soon enough. i am getting my egr blocked off tomorrow and a map put on so will have a look at dpf after it. great show tks
@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage and the latest issue is a slight clunking coming from rear diff so thats another job down the road. older x5 can be a full time job to keep going
How can you ignore spark plug activation errors - not only spark plugs might be faulty but spark plug activation module - this will have impact on DPF clogging. Another typical issue with these engines is EGR thermostat failure, coolant won't get to operating temp and this will prevent DPF regen. When did last regen happen? Great video but I'm afraid it's just temporary solution.
This is a diesel, it doesn't have spark plugs. No faults were present after work was done. levels were all good and vehicle was up to operation temperature for a very long time when testing pre & post repair. Couldn't justify the customer spending any more money/time on this vehicle at that time. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 🙏🙏🙌
Hi, How many kilometers should the DPF burn out in this BMW E70 3.0d M57? My x5 e70 35d currently burns out every 200-250km, I drive a lot around the city and the back pressure is very low, I thought there would be more kilometers between regenerations
If you have DPF plugged you have one of 2 main issues with you car 1- short rides/or rides with less than 1/4 tank if fuel 2- you have issue with fuel system or/using bad engine oil with extended oil service and bad diesel
I would suggest to invest in a Wurth DPF particulate filter cleaning gun and 1 liter of the DPF particulate cleaning fluid. Together using this with an air compressor, it will make the cleaning more effective. Wurth has it in stock. If you are going to keep your car for a while you might need to repeat the cleaning procedure. I am going to invest in these tools. The other altenative replacing the DPF on a car workshop is very expencive.
Is there a minimum mileage should I be doing on a BMW 3 series diesel per year ? If I only use it for short journeys what adverse effects could it have ?
Hi , Is it safety to use dpf spray by this hose that you used , i am asking because i see that almost workshops says that we should spry inside oxygen sensor ? I want to due like your way but would be forsure first . Thank you
1-Change capteur de pression (30€) avent de toucher le fap. 2- effacé les code défaut avec une vraie valise de diagnostic. Normalement OK * 90% vien de CAPTEUR
hello, do I need 2 bottles or is 1 enough? my other question is that you have to put it in with the bottle in a standing position and then go with it? how many km do you have to go? thx
For anyone interested the Wurth product I used in the video is linked below :

OK, I see that glow plugs errors are absent, but still would check coolant temp and how many km ago was last DPF regen

@@GerardBurkeBurkesGarage glow plugs*. Thanks for correcting me
What kind of key tool and size do you use to unscrew the backpressure sensor from the exhause pipe?

Do you put the cleaner in the pre or post pressure sensor?
Thanks for the info Gerard 👍
🙏🙏❤️❤️🙏🙏
Great job Gerard, very well explained, Wurth for the win💯 Thank You👌👍🙏😎
Cheers Pat, much appreciated mate 🙏🙏🍻🍀
Does this also get rid of ash deposits from the regen and or additives?

good stuff Wurth products and Wurth buying😂👍
😂😂😀😀👌👌
i have a diesel and recently had DPF changed as it was too far blocked. How do you know when the car is doing its regen and completed it?
A good scan tool can tell you when it active and how many it's done etc.. packed with info 👌💪
bimmer tool APP
You can see it on the little economy gauge in the revcounter. If it regens you can see the consumption increase.
Did you use both tins or one?

I have 520d/2008 N47 and the warning on dash board does not permanent , it comes and back .
whats in the Wurth?
Yep it surely is good stuff. I often use the JLM stuff but its way more expensive. I used that Wurth on my own car and it did the job. Nice Vid mate🙂
Thanks mate, I appreciate you taking the time to comment 🙏⌚💪
Great Video. Thank you very much for sharing. This is exactly what I need to do on my BMW. 👆
