Wow. Speaking as a guy with a competition background in small capacity tourers, that was brilliant not only in the driving aspect but also in the engine prep and chassis set up of the car. Flawless. And you've gotta love getting Minis sideways on entry and drifting that way right through those big open curves at maybe 75+ mph. These cars were initially sold in the late 1950s with 37 bhp.
Great drive, great cars and fantastic motor racing. I still remember my cousin taking me for a ride in his brand new 1967 Cooper S - what a revelation after Holdens and stodgy Brit sedans.
Great driving! At Brands, In '94, I watched Ian Gunn start at the back in the Miglia race. Normally he started at the front, many times in pole position, and would do battle with Chris Lewis, Bill Sollis and other front runners for the whole race. But in this particular race, he finished first a few lengths ahead of Chris who had led most of the race. Ian was on a mission. I don't remember why I wasn't racing that day, but glad I got to watch that one. BTW, I was running the Clive Trickey Mini. Ron
Phenomenal Drive....smooth is fast but you were caning it & grabbing all the lines. Especially love your shifts. Need to know what box n ratios you have in there + what tires you were running. My track setup is hard but using sticky Hoosiers 19 x 5 x 10 inch. From a fellow '65 Mini Cooper S racer here in the USA. I enjoyed your incar.
Great driving & so scary at the same time. Just yesterday I was racing in Forza Motorsport on Brands Hatch with my Mini ;) I'm always so scared to bump to somebody while braking in Forza, could not do it in real life at all :)
Awesome - “back down memory lane” … and if that camera was angled just a fraction lower so that we didnt see the inside of the roof, we’d have all seen some bloody nice footwork too I reckon - would have been nice to see a bit of the old heel and toe a few times on those quick changes from third down to second I reckon.
You will be overtaking yourself at that rate… Love to see you in an old F2 or the like Nice to see how it should be done I’ll wave when you come past me
When did we go from the Minis cocking a wheel to sliding the tails out? Back when we went to the racing you would have 20 odd Mini Sevens all chasing each other round a corner on three wheels!
Many years ago I had , and rallied a 71 Cooper S..all I can say is f#@& me ..he was revving the crap out of that motor...my valves would have been floating and other nasty things happening with those rpm. Weel done on the engine builders
Simply outstanding. I'm exhausted after watching this.
This is the best racing of any series that I’ve seen in a long time!
Makes F1 look so boring.

That second place blue car man is a drifting master
That’s epic driving. Well done and great camera angle too.
I've watched this like 4x now, great driving.

Amazing pilot, amazing Mini Cooper, amazing race. Congrats.
Great video and awesome result mate, always nice to see your race from someone else's perspective!
This is racing! No hightec needed!
Yes. Racing as it should be.
Exhilarating racing. Your Mini must be tuned to perfection!
Once the race is over, I bet you can get out of your car and run through a brick wall with ease.
Great driving!

Brilliant drive, massive balls into an intimidating and blind paddock hill gave you an advantage over everyone!
Just outstanding Ollie, in every respect.
Bloody hell this is epic. A truly wonderful car.
That whas brilliant! Great driving! Amazing takes following the blue one.
What an enjoyable way to spend time behind the wheel. I simply can't imagine another form of circuit racing that would be more fun.
The most fun you can have with your trousers on.
Brilliant ! Hope the mini facing the wrong way on the corner didn't leave a brown stain ! 🙂
0:47 - Good moring! Don't mind Mr.Bean doing his driving exam.

What a Set up in this Car well done buddy you certainly can drive
The red Mini that won must have been a rocket ship. No sign of him until seen crawling along behind the pace car. And good driving, BTW. Dog box?
This looks VERY FUN ! I wish I could race one.
I love seeing that Traveller in the mix. My first ever car was a clubman Traveller many moons ago
Ha, missed that first time i watched, looks amazing.
I would like to congratulate the camera person in the back 👏
