Jim Clark Trophy | Lotus Cortina | Goodwood 80MM | Ollie Streek & Jake Hill
Despite not quite having the grunt of some of the front runners, we managed to get the old girl from P14 up to P8, amongst a plethora of undeniable talent and big names, we scraped our way back up through the order. Sadly the GoPro decided to freeze part-way through Jake's stint.

Handed over the car at the halfway point down in P40 partially due to a collision on Lap 1 and an unlucky qualifying session. After roughly 20 mins got through to P25 overall. Shame to start where we did, but made for a fun race.
Brands Hatch GP Masters Pre 66 Mini Race | dead last to 2nd place!

Due to a bit of misfortune in race 1, and a DNF, we started from the very back of the Masters Pre-66 Mini grid. managed to get through the pack and into second place, before the safety car came out and took us to the chequered. Pleased with that one!

Took the Datsun 240z for a spin, short clips with GoPro and Canon.
what are you activating with your left foot? Great driving.
@@jenniferstreetcounselling6362 just the headlights
dammmn that blue one was flying!
Brilliant driving
Nice driving and good overall balance of the car! It was very interesting to watch.
Holy crap.... the level of competition and thrashing of these little cars! I used to race tourers, but this is eleven-tenths stuffing the car into every corner squirreling beyond the limit of adhesion.
Great driving & so scary at the same time. Just yesterday I was racing in Forza Motorsport on Brands Hatch with my Mini ;) I'm always so scared to bump to somebody while braking in Forza, could not do it in real life at all :)
Great drive , my son went from last to 2nd in one of his races in a mini , love minis
Wow fantastic could you imagine if you didn't start at the end of the pack he would have won that race
Cracking driving.
Did anyone else have a heart attack watching this?!! That was amazing Racing! The sissies in Formula One could never do this in these cars! You would get to see how incompetent Lewis Hamilton really is! These are great drivers in the Lotuses!
What a Set up in this Car well done buddy you certainly can drive
Nick had the legs on the straight, but he was working very hard under brakes and through the corners. Ollie's Mini sat flat as through the corners and pulled away better from them. Good tussle. I wonder what shockies Ollie is using... something's making it handle like it's on rails.
i got amboed off the infield, in the eighties, following an in-the-face bird-strike. quite nice food in chichester hospital
Great drive, great cars and fantastic motor racing. I still remember my cousin taking me for a ride in his brand new 1967 Cooper S - what a revelation after Holdens and stodgy Brit sedans.
Fantastic racing and a really busy day at the office. Must have been hot in there!
0:47 - Good moring! Don't mind Mr.Bean doing his driving exam.
Was that Nick swift in the pale Green car? Didn’t expect to see him passed. Great drive!
You gotta be able to predict the future to drive like that......
Notice the very close ratio 3rd to 4th & straight cut whine!!!
Must have lost a wheel in qualifying.
Nice drive!!! 🏎️🫡
The Lotus driver must have been an absolute novice. He only twice hit an apex just before the end, took many corners with something close to the opposite of a 'racing line' and yet was able to pull a great lead under acceleration. Taking nothing away from the skill levels of such accomplished Mini drivers who used the entire width of the track to its best advantage. Absolutely loved the racing by 2 professionals.
More entertaining than modern day BTCC that's for sure!
That whas brilliant! Great driving! Amazing takes following the blue one.
Very entertaining, great footage thanks
Pulling hard in top good Hp 😊
Wow. Speaking as a guy with a competition background in small capacity tourers, that was brilliant not only in the driving aspect but also in the engine prep and chassis set up of the car. Flawless. And you've gotta love getting Minis sideways on entry and drifting that way right through those big open curves at maybe 75+ mph. These cars were initially sold in the late 1950s with 37 bhp.
I would like to congratulate the camera person in the back 👏
Those CORTINA’s sure did like to swing their ars’s around and I kept wanting to change into 5th along with you.❤it.
5:02 this man has no fear 😅
Oh if only that 5th gear was there!
Many years ago I had , and rallied a 71 Cooper S..all I can say is f#@& me ..he was revving the crap out of that motor...my valves would have been floating and other nasty things happening with those rpm. Weel done on the engine builders
All mini engines should race together and thats that 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I love seeing that Traveller in the mix. My first ever car was a clubman Traveller many moons ago
Ha, missed that first time i watched, looks amazing.
I had a tired Cortina which I loved. On my way to a job interview, I was thinking that if I get this job, I was going refresh my Cortina and bring it back to its glory. Well, I T Boned by a 67 Chevy. So much for making it to the interview and so much for my car. It was totaled. 😢
Great on board, that looked like fun!
Need more powerthey have 10 more horse than you out of the corners
If only! That was our biggest issue 😩
Spectacular 😎
To all the care thieves and dick heads who think driving Audi s3 automatic from police think you can drive this is what real driving looks like
Awesome
good effort considering your clearly down on power around a track that is a power circuit.
Great race to watch on board
"mini" car but maxi drive ! 👍🇨🇵
It's not an easy job ! 👍😊 🇨🇵
F@#£%-g Stressful !
Another 15 brake and lose half a stone, you'd have pissed it. Proper racing is that.
Awesome - “back down memory lane” … and if that camera was angled just a fraction lower so that we didnt see the inside of the roof, we’d have all seen some bloody nice footwork too I reckon - would have been nice to see a bit of the old heel and toe a few times on those quick changes from third down to second I reckon.
How does this compare to the original man himself behind the wheel of the car, Jim Clark
Takes me back to the early 80s with the Lotus Cortina Register.Blasting my 65 MK1 Lotus Cortina round here!!! Still have the car.Rog.
Ah drifting a cortina- be it a 1.6 mk5 on a wet roundabout or lotus on a racetrack. A joy to do the former, a joy to behold the latter
Great diving .
