I'm in Germany and bought a 2007 Civic Si 2.0 and just getting started with the mods. So, I was looking for some information to increase the performance of my car. I love my Civic and it's pretty quick right now, so it will be interesting to see how much quicker it will be with the simple performance mods. Great video!

These stock are at about 174whp. Intake, race header, cat back will put you near 200whp. Tune will help from some losses low end, and will improve top end but peak is up to your actual tune. A k24 block tho.. We could go on and on.
Skunk2 Alpha Header FTW!! I gained an additional 10hp over the ktuned/plm/1320 header designs. Most importantly, a tune will transform these 8th gens. Night and day difference.

First thing to do for engine mods is flash pro. Just put on my stock FA5 I just bought. Before you spend money on any bolt on get the FP. It's worth every penny even when stock. Changes the whole car.

Got all bolt-ons, and suspension mods... Really time to suck it up and drop that dime on the tuner. She's a track monster with everything I have, the tuner would probably make a world of a difference.
ok , i've got an 03' Si , AEM secret weopon aluminum neo titanium short ram air intake , blackout wet nitrous and i use royal purple fuel additive , right now i have some decent tires coopers not too great not too bad , throttle body work , and i stripped out all the back seats most of the carpeting and plastic .. and a vanilla pine tree air freshener .. and a heat seeking guided rocket launcher for people that blow coal ..

I mentioned in a comment on ur other vid that I'm 100% stock, but it does a decent pull except when I have like 3 people in the car. Then I can feel it kinda drop off. The power to weight ratio matters a lot for this car, which mod would u say help with this that's the cheapest?

Just do what Honda did to the 8th gen FD2 Civic Type R: thicker Intake, thicker TB, ported IM, larger injectors, cams, lightweight flywheel, competition clutch, shorter final drive, 4-2-1 header, thicker exhaust, rock solid suspension, thicker sway bars, rear strut/brace bar, lightweight wheels, and ECU/tuning. Remove the passenger seat + spare tire for weight reduction/a few extra HP. Take your pick

Cold air intake does very little but kill low end , light to light you will get your ass kicked .. Unless you tune for it , don't think you're just going to slap one on and get what you're looking for..
Ill start front to back, FLASHPRO, Hybrid racing 3.5 Cold air intake, J37 throttle body, port match to RBC manifold, RDX 410 injectors(TC clips), Skunk2 Alpha header, Borla 2.75 exhaust. The borla looks like a R18 from the back, sounds and flows better than any 3". If you dont make between 215-220 to the wheels get a new tuner if you make 230+ ask your tuner for an internship. Oh yeah upgrade your CMC before you ruin your syncros best bang for buck is an EM1 CMC from your local parts shop but ktuner and hybrid make real good kits. Thats about everything worth bolting on. Throttle body spacers, plastic IMF gaskets and that kind of stuff is a waste of money.
Thinking about adding some rdx 410, true CAI, maybe a j35 throttle body, and new exhaust to the car. Been looking at tires eventually as well, G force’s have amazing reviews 👍🏼. TBH, I don’t want a 3” exhaust, I’ll settle for a 2.25-2.75” max. 215hp will be the goal when my car is where I want it to be. I have the k tuned cmc, like it a lot.
Gerb Productions running kumho ecsta on the stock rims and they hook and hold just as well as my Michelin’s did. It’s a good all weather tire for decent cost. The Michelin replacements were almost twice the cost with a lower speed rating.
I paid haha 90 for my header manzo knock off ( : unbranded works great no stains! and the midpipe 140 saved alot it is no different just no name brand woo. hmm the stock header was soo heavy. new was so light.

You already know 😎... Your best bet is to keep stock compression, 11.1... Just use the ones that come with the pistons bro. Do you know what you’re buying for pistons?

Needs a 3.5 inch composite intake that sits away from the engine bay (it's possible to build one) and a full 3 inch exhaust like ktuned/full race or even skunk2. These K series engines love to breathe and a 2.5" exhaust doesn't help
debating if i should keep trying to get my CM7 to start since it randomly died coming of the freeway (3 years ago and just seemed like it stalled) or rebuild the k24a8/swap a k24a2 and upgrade to the tsx 6spd. so many honda projects lol though u should mess with that n360, bet its be a cool project with a b16a3 out of a del sol

IDK what year ur car is mine is an 11 but ive never seen a peashooter like that come stock on an 8thgen si. This is a stock bro, trust. Only difference is, my metal si sport tip fell off of the muffler due to rust. The stock exhaust is awesome, but I want a bit more sound

My si was vandalized, have to have it repainted, but my wheels are junk suspension is junk so not sure what I should do. Get it repainted or get coil overs and wheels.
Man I feel so behind. I've had my brake setup for the FA5 sitting since I still havent changed my driver side knuckle so figured would do the whole spindle. Havent done any engine mods yet but thinking being CA the short ram would be the only one id do since im lazy when smog comes around lol.

vibrant muffler's are your friend. Stock sound but just louder. I went 2.5 from the cat back with a vibrant ultra quiet reso and vibrant street power muffler.
If you swap in a rbc manifold from the 8th gens. Your 9th will gain top end and will have that classic v-tec scream that we all love. Look up videos of swap you will not be disappointed

don't even waste time with coilovers. Get the eibach sportline springs. I just put them on my fa5 and it rides just as good as stock and the car looks so much better. More track oriented look. it also helps if you go with the matching sway bars from the eibach sportline kit.
Im sure nice coilovers feel nice but for a street car, I had coilovers and for the look I was going for, the Eibach has much better ride quality and handling. Plus instead of spending 800+ on quality coils, the eibach springs run you 270$ after tax.

Hey Gerb, how do you diagnose transmission mount issues? I feel like the car jerks in reverse like a metal donk sound and how do you see if my engine mount is okay. 07 civic Si bone stock.
When does the donk sound happen?. And one way is to look at your mounts. They have a rubbery insulation. If it's ripped up then yea it's bad. Look up pics and videos to get an idea
btw did you ever figure out what the whine in your engine bay was? im trying to chase mine down and so far i've replaced both idler and tensioner pulley as well as the PCV.
Forget all that. I just put 20 stickers on the back window. Done.

Changing your fuel pump to E85 plus injector size plus a great TUNE WILL MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN POWER .

vibrant muffler's are your friend. Stock sound but just louder. I went 2.5 from the cat back with a vibrant ultra quiet reso and vibrant street power muffler.
Intake will make it so you can really hear your motor.
If you swap in a rbc manifold from the 8th gens. Your 9th will gain top end and will have that classic v-tec scream that we all love. Look up videos of swap you will not be disappointed

don't even waste time with coilovers. Get the eibach sportline springs. I just put them on my fa5 and it rides just as good as stock and the car looks so much better. More track oriented look. it also helps if you go with the matching sway bars from the eibach sportline kit.

Im sure nice coilovers feel nice but for a street car, I had coilovers and for the look I was going for, the Eibach has much better ride quality and handling. Plus instead of spending 800+ on quality coils, the eibach springs run you 270$ after tax.

Hey Gerb, how do you diagnose transmission mount issues? I feel like the car jerks in reverse like a metal donk sound and how do you see if my engine mount is okay. 07 civic Si bone stock.
When does the donk sound happen?. And one way is to look at your mounts. They have a rubbery insulation. If it's ripped up then yea it's bad. Look up pics and videos to get an idea
Pretty much what he stated above me. Inspect the rubber in the middle of the mount, if it torn, replace it.
