We did that route off the Cat this morning towards Buxton Raceway,Would have been a lovely view if it hadn't been a pea souper.🤓

Keep your vids coming, in answer to your question, I prefer them without music👍

Wildboarclough (home ground) has been bonkers busy for many weeks now - I'm lucky to be able to get out mid-week these days :-).
FYI, one of my favorite bits of road in that area is Ridge Hill/Meg Lane, above Sutton/Langley :-)
PS, video quality is now much improved - what did you do???

TH-cam by default compresses the shiz out of files, blocky fuzzy mess. I found that exporting the vids in 4K rather than 1080 prompts TH-cam to encode in the higher quality codec. I've also started recording in 2.7k rather than 1080.

Thank you for your comment. Will look at adding the mic back into the helmet. 👍 Since Scotland I have dropped the bike a couple of times, but on trails. Once on a steep rocky trail it pivoted past 90° on its side, pickup was easy. You still have to put effort in but 1 man lift is fine, I didn't have luggage though. In Scotland it took me by surprise, I was trembling and couldn't pick it up, plus I had about 15-20kg of luggage in the top box and on the seat. Luckily a nice chap helped me get it off the gravely ground.
      Love the bike.

Looked a lovely ride. I enjoy your videos, thanks for all your hard work. Just the occasional comment while riding is great from a personal view, others may disagree. Do you find the RR suspension upgrade is worth the investment? I changed the stock tyres for Michelin road tyres and it transformed the bike. I use mine on road only, occasional gravel road. I know that most bikes are built to a budget and suspension is one area they cut costs. Keep up the great videos!

Thanks for your input. The RR kit I'd say does make a difference. If I'm being honest with myself most of what I do is on the road too. The original suspension and forks are probably more capable than most give credit for on the street. However, I experienced a shudder in the bars when I hit uneven/broken surfaces in a corner. This sometimes made it difficult to maintain my line through a corner. The forks also used to compress a lot under braking. The rear is just a simple spring. On my bike, while on the side stand, I could put my hand on the seat and rock the whole bike excessively. I could feel how soft the rear suspension was. This may just have been how my bike was set up from the dealer though. The RR kit resolved the shudder in the forks, is a lot more compliant in corners and doesn't dive/compress as quickly under braking. The rear suspension resolved the excessive movement while rocking by the seat on the side stand. It's also a lot more plush than stock and I can set sag correctly, it just feels nicer and inspires confidence. One thing I would say in favor of the stock setup though is that I didn't feel as many small bumps on the road, probably due to how soft the setup actually is. The RR kit still handles them well but you know they are there, the benefits in all other areas far outway this though.
On my kit I opted for the remote preload adjuster, makes life so much easier. The only challenge I had when ordering the RR kit was my own height and weight. The Level 2, while a better offroad proposition, was almost too tall for me, I was on tiptoes. On the road that's fine, but on the trail it's a long way to the ground if something goes wrong. I almost dropped the test bike at RR when I put my foot down on a slight downslope, I was hanging off the bike to brace and flat foot the catch. I also weigh around 75kg with all my gear on. This means I'm on their lightest spring at pretty much the softest setting. A fab kit though and I wouldn't even attempt some of the trails on the stock setup. I'd like to try the Michelin Road 5 at some point, I'd lose the ability to ride offroad though. The TKC 80 on the bike currently ride really well on and off-road but they are rougher on the road.
