One of the things that always annoys me about wildlife is that they won’t just eat one at a time, but will take small bites out of all of them! So frustrating! 😫 Sorry about your harvest and hope you can at least enjoy the beets despite their small size!

Thank you sis. I just saw the striped mice in my garden and I think they are responsible for this.
Try to plant marigold between crops. It'll keep pests away
I have marigolds in the same bed it's just that they are still a bit small. I'll transplant a few inbetween.
