Thank you so much cc. Start small and only start with veges you love, even if you only plant 2 or 3 types of veges, that will give you motivation to plant more. I would recommend buying seedlings and starting with those, and as you get used to gardening you can start planting from seeds ❤️❤️

Thank you mama. I plants lots of Marigolds in the beds and just monitor them. First signs of aphids I spray them with a hose pipe and squash some with my hands.... so far the Marigolds have really helped and I have very few aphids and only on a few plants.

Thank you. I do use fertilizer from time to time, organic fertilizer and compost as well. If you watch some of my previous videos you will see that I use compost mostly, and add fertilizer here and there. I think they are growing slowly because it's winter, don't worry about them, keep watering them and when Spring comes with the warmth they will pick up. I usually use seedlings for winter planting because seeds can take a long time to germinate and grow until it becomes too cold.

Hello I hope you are good. It is wonderful to hear that you have started your garden, the beat decision you have made 😊. Carrots usually mature around 90 days but you can start harvesting them as baby carrots uf you want or just wait for them to fully mature. Potatoes l, like carrots may take 90-120 days, depending on the type of potatoes but you can also start harvesting them a bit earlier than that for baby potatoes. To know if they are ready for harvesting and have reached maturity, potato leaves will turn yellow and start drying up, then you can harvest when needed. I do not have much experience with sweet potatoes because I have just recently planted them and waiting to experiment with them more but I heard they take anywhere between 3-6 months, depending on the variety you planted as well. Onions take anywhere between 6-8 months to reach full maturity, also depending on the variety. Early Texas grano, which is the one I usually plant is 6 months. For quick harvest crops you can add leafy greens like spinach, lettuce, rape or kale because you can harvest them as early as you want and don't have to wait a very long time, what's lovely with them is that as you harvest they keep producing more leaves. Onions usually survive frost, we have started getting some frost as well but they will start growing rapidly when it gets warm in Spring.

Hi cc. You can plant Swiss chard any time, even in winter if you do not have frost in your area. It can survive winter but grows slowly because of the cold and then picks up the growth speed when it starts getting warm.

Thank you so much. For the brassicas I added organic fertilizer to boost soil fertility, on other parts of the garden I added compost when planting.

Thank you so much. I topped up the soil with some compost and mulched with potting soil on the calendula bed. I think also because temperatures are getting cooler now, the plants are loving it.
