i had 20 plants this year, in a 20 foot row. early girl, better boy, marglobes, and a couple cherry tomatoes that came up from last year as volunteers. i'll say i had better production from the ''wild'' cherries that the purebloods i bought in pots. i don't think they were as sweet, but that's from memory. now the others had me eating 12 tomatoes a day for 2.5 months now. i got so many now i just let them rot on the vine. so you don't need the most possible if you get too many to eat from what you planted already. i know, i should can them, but that's a whole 'nother project. i am curious as to how much eating 12 fresh tomatoes everyday does for your blood chemistry/skin. in the past month 2 people commented on how good i look, i never heard that before from anyone.

I tried this in containers a few years back, and it worked like a charm as well. I want to stress that the potting soil was lightly refreshed from the previous season and had worms to help with the bananas decomposition.

I myself also bury banana peels, and egg shells underneath my tomatoes, peppers, and basically anything! it gives them so much nutritions, and potentials to grown and yield so much fruit/vegetables! Loved the video & learned a lot. I always plant too late & end up with blight. I live in Cali & am going to look into finding tomatoes with less disease issues because tomatos are my favorite thing to grow because the difference between homegrown & store bought is massive! Btw, Tuck and my Yorkie Belle look a lot alike just from that pic their coloring is so similar with the silver & gold. My girl is getting up there and going blind & has horrible ear issues. She is my second yorkie & it is going to break my heart when she goes. I say she will be my last fur baby...but I say that with each one. It just hurts so bad to lose them. I hope you & Tuck have many years ahead of you in the garden. Thanks for the helpful info.💖🐾

James, if you had to pick one tomato purely for taste, what would it be? I'm just south of you in Delaware, so our climates are similar and one of my favorite foods is tomatoes. I grew a little San Marzano in a big pot on my front steps this year, and while it fruited well, it just doesn't have the real pungent flavor I expect from a plum tomato. If you've already done a video on tomato comparison, plz advise. Love and pets to Tuck.

I love all your video and ideas to grow tomatoes. You are the best what I see on you-tube. This spring I moved to KY from high desert of CA and did my first 2 raised beds to plant tomatoes. I tried to watch many of videos and can not find if you talked about rotation. Do we need to rotate plants (as everyone said) to avoid diseases?
