    Quick Question man.. I'm having an Issue getting the 6.5inch JBL speakers mounted in the front door with the brackets that came with the speakers. Do you know What brand of Speaker brackets you used or where you got them from? I see some on Crutchfield but want to be sure before I order them..

      At the 47 second mark it shows the mounting bracket, as far as we’re they came from, I can’t remember if it was crutchfield or not since it was a friends car he bought the items. Although we lived 20 minutes from crutchfield at the time of making this video, so it’s a good chance that’s were he got it. I also have a friend who works at crutchfield and they are really good and answering questions like that if you call them they can get the specific item number for you. (Side note I have no affiliation with them, that’s just my experience with them)

    Are the rear speakers in the back seats the same size as the front speakers?

      What about the rear speakers that are in the trunk , Do you know their size?

      @@-mot3877 I believe they are the same for the back door but this was several years ago, I had a 2018 Altima and they were the same size and the rear deck speakers were 6x9s if I remember. The easiest way to make sure is to go to www.crutchfield.com/car/outfitmycar/mycar.aspx and put in your car info and it should tell you what sizes. (I have no affiliation with crutchfield but I’ve used the site for years)

    What was the reason you mounted the tweeters on the plastic piece in the corner of the door instead of replacing the tweeters in the corners of the front dash?

    • @rickysreviewsandhowtos
      @rickysreviewsandhowtos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That seemed to be a bit easier than running the wire to the front dash, the speakers we used had a high pass filter built into the speaker wire and the 6.5' had an extra terminal to connect the tweeter rather than run a separate line (not sure if that makes sense). Ultimately it was just easier.

      @@rickysreviewsandhowtos Hmmm, that is a fair point, another method I have seen people do was to open up the HPF and solder the components onto a circular protoboard that can be mounted right behind the tweeter, then you can replace the original tweeters in the front dash. Still deciding if I wanna attempt this, main issue is that my current ebay radio has pretty bad audio output, so it might not be worth it until I get that replaced, which can be quite expensive. Anyway, thanks for the info!

    Question my friend. What about speakers for the rear doors? The Altima has speakers an all doors?

    • @rickysreviewsandhowtos
      @rickysreviewsandhowtos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We didn’t do anything with the back doors on this car so I’m not sure if this year model had speakers in the back doors. I personally owned a 2018 Altima and it had the holes for speakers but none were put in from the factory and I don’t believe any wiring was there so I had to run speaker wire. Unfortunately I never recorded any of that instillation. I will say that unless you have people in the backs seats often, having speakers in the back doors doesn’t often add much to the sound.

      @@rickysreviewsandhowtos excellent, thanks for your comments it help me a lot. I going to let this doors as they are. Without speakers. Thanks.

      But if I install new speakers, these new speakers can be connected in parallel with the front ones? Or how ?

    • @rickysreviewsandhowtos
      @rickysreviewsandhowtos  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@hannibalgenial7938 you would need to see if any speaker wire is already in place, if not you would need to run wire to the door (this can be harder than it sounds depending how the other wires for door locks and window controls are ran and not something I can explain in a message) if you remove the door panel and see wires then you can just connect the speakers, if you have to run wires then you would connect them to media player (radio whatever). Aftermarket stereos usually have four pairs color wires for speakers each pair has a solid color and a color with a strip, these colors are green, purple, grey, and white. Here is a article with wire coloring. If you still have a stock radio then you need to look up the wiring diagram for that year and model.
      Hope that all makes sense
