    From the mouth of Kurt Angle on his podcast, Brock Lesnar didn't know who AJ Styles was when they were put to work together in 2017 because he didn't watch wrestling before he started and didn't follow it after he left. He called Kurt and asked Kurt "is this AJ kid any good"? Kurt Angle told Brock that if he sold for him, they'd have a great match. So the match they put together, it was put together with him not knowing him at all.

    Jinder gets it. Having a match with Brock at that time would've made no sense for either involved. Also, it can be called an honor to drop the title to AJ Styles. Jinder was not used to his best potential. The man was over as a heel.

      @@kyleday5026 apparently Brock and Bray were scheduled for a match at WrestleMania 32, but bray had a health issue. The story I heard regarding 39 is that Brock did not want to work another match with Bobby Lashley, so Brock faced Omos and Lashley was scheduled to face Bray. Lashley vs Wyatt didn't happen due to health issues as well, so as a consulation for being left off the mania card, Lashley won the Andre battle royale.

    • @spinmaster0
      @spinmaster0 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      They could have booked his run-up to the belt more slowly than simply just to break into the Indian market. Storylines at that time were just not working well enough for him to carry the belt for a long period. Not to mention, he was too one-dimensional - nothing against him as bookers could have done some work to elevate him from his jobber status too, but a foreign heel is nothing new and he was just an average heel at best.

    I still want to see a Muhammad Hassan vs Jinder Mahal. I dont know why. Marc is 42 years old and Yuvraj is 37. I'd like to see both these two main event wrestlmania against one another. Thanks for sharing their stories and being an awesome interviewer.

      @CenturyBlade 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      Unfortunately it’ll probably never happen since Yuvraj has been an active wrestler for years whilst Marc hasn’t done it since the end of Muhammad Hassan, and has admitted that there’s no way in hell he could do it now

      @toddmason8403 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah I know. You are exactly right. There is just something about both of these dudes being in the ring cutting promos against each other and having a memorable fued on a streaming platform and not network nor cable. It doesn't have to be a 6 month fued leading into wrestlmania for the match.

      Marc is a sad case because he was absolutely incredible at such a young age but it was also an explosively controversial gimmick and even though he was getting to be red hot he was ultimately cancelled by fucking UPN. It still pisses me off.

    I can't believe they didnt push Jinder in a Mola Ram character with Indus Sher as his lackeys. He should've fed the blood of Kali Ma to his opponents after matches, possessing their souls. Like an indian version of Papa Shango but darker and more extreme.

      @@mg9854 yes but they have to bring the victim under the spell of kali ma first before they become devotees of kali ma. They have to drink the blood

    No offence to Jinder but AJ Styles is so good he could have a wrestling match with a plank of wood and it would be a great match. The amount of wrestlers who all think Styles is one of the best in ring performers grows all the time. Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Sting, The Undertaker, Roman Reigns and Kenny Omega all say he is one of the best.

      I can see Booker’s point. The problem was Jinder wasn’t booked to be even remotely a threat to the likes of Lesnar, but if he had it would have been money. Especially with Lesnar as the baby face.

    Fact is… jinder should never of held of the thing. WWE did a thing for jinder’s country and him been champion was a good advertisement for it but all it did was ruin jinder for the worst, brock didn’t want to wrestle you because you were crap mate. And if you didn’t know this most wrestlers in wwe did not want to have a match with jinder. He’s just never been liked and isn’t liked now. When Vince gave him that title we should have realised then that Vince was losing it.

    • @mg9854
      @mg9854 หลายเดือนก่อน

      WWE did a thing for Jinder's country? No pal! WWE expected returns from Jinder's country (it's known as India btw) which never happened and which was never bound to happen coz people there too were excited to see 90's and 2000's wrestlers (which was the peak time of WWE in India as well). Hardly anyone cares abt current generation wrestlers today.
