Hell yeah man, glad I found your channel! I'd been wanting to start a Custodes army since back in November (Thank you TTS but mostly Kitten) and had no idea what to do list wise. Experiments or not, this was useful as hell.
As i said in the livestream, 18" is significantly worse than 12". It helps with indirect, but that is really about it. It comes up occasionally, but not something i would bank on.
@@Rejnols completely agree, if holding a home objective or one out in the sticks it's useful. But when you consider an evasor is the same points and offers actual point scoring ability!
I believe the new character will be a defense focused character. He has a shield and we already got an offence focuse one,in blade champ. It would nicely fill in the blank between the generalist shield cap and offensive blade champ as well as serve a role of a non named valerian. I also hope for a named lockwarden model but I don't believe it will be that
As a gaurd player, no one was taking manitcores. I think gw saw a couple of builds that done really well with them running 3 of them but the vast majority of players have wised up to the fact that the basilisk and heavy weapons teams are the go too for indirect fire.
It's funny how you started the guard listby saying that it's not a list you are just adding to see what happens and accidentally ended up with 2k points even. That's wild. It obviously wasn't perfect but it would work
I’m extremely new!!!! What is the least/minimum amount of units I can run to make a good army. I also am using 1000 points for alliance Imperial knight collab. So I only need 1000 points custodes. Can yall recommend or is more better in warhammer?
1. lately I have been playing the common Inquisitor with a guard unit. Extra shooting (especially if you go with the psychic gifts)+the command point generation. 2. I have this completely situational idea of 10x prosecutors+Inq.Grayfax, coming in from reserves and blowing up psychers (mainly against Thousant Sons, psycher heavy Tyranids and such). What are your thoughts????
The issue is there is so little psychic in the game. If you have one game and you know the opponent is t-sons then yes, there's nothing more amusing than watching all there psychic might getting destroyed by sisters. But in a tournament you will lose with that list, badly. And I normally run 25 sisters because of rule of cool and know I'm losing because of it
I have an unpopular opinion our characters aren't nearly as overpriced as we think. That's because each of them buffs units that are significantly more expensive than the same hero would buff in another army. So same strength buff should be more expensive on us
@johncherrybone4835 you can't use any of the strats on then, you get no feel no pain, can't rota for a 4+ invun, can't re roll as no army rule. For 150pts you can get stuff that works for the army better
I am very excited for the new codex prospect. So far the codex creep in this edition is almost not a thing. Which is great. I hate feeling like a bully playing faction that is clearly just op. I'm a much bigger fan of diversity of builds over power and so far codexes have delivered on that. Also I also play tau so there is no chance there won't be anything exciting in between those two
Yeah, i would actually have preferred it if they dropped the characters 20-25 pts instead of each model på 5, since now im tempted to run custodes without characters, which feels wierd. But then again, cant really complain when we got almost exactly what was asked for and alot of other armies got nerfed.
Spear gives 1 more attack at a 2+ And -2 AP for 2 DMG Vs Axe hitting on a 3+ and -1 AP for 3 DmG. I argue for the spear currently. The additional attack and AP are key
Absolutely no one has to worry about tripple manticores now. 3 of them will run you 540 pts, and thats not even including any of the support. As a guard player, i do think it's sad that as a faction, we get punished for using the only tools gw has given us.
It's crazy how much of a touchy subject terrain is for 40k. IMHO it shows how bad the terrain rules are in this game; there are other miniature games that handle terrain in a much simpler and more efficient way, like Malifaux for instance. Actually in previous editions of 40k, around 4th-5th edition, I think terrain rules were much tighter and less restrictive to the gameplay experience as a whole...although I'll admit the game itself was much simpler back then.

Still not good compared to other options. As i say in the live stream at least bringing them, if you like the models, doesn't kill your list by being 500 points for captain + 3 bikes
It’s a ‘oversight’ that has yet to be fixed, much like Aleya doesn’t have the Anathema keyword. At this point I don’t think either is an oversight, I think it’s intended.

Kyria also brings some protection from indirect, no shooting the squad on a 2+ in you command phase.

What do you think about the matchup against canoptek court?

I have learned so much from your videos this is awesome, thank you!
Would be great if sagittarum had the ability to shoot again if you kill something with them... 😅
Funny curiosity: Land raiders can transport Adeptus Custodes Infantry; sisters are ADI too

telemon might not be great, but it looks sick and that's enough
Can adeptus custodes take inquisitors and/or imperial knights as allies?
yeah you can, but knights obviously won't get their 6+ fnp so go down fairly easily for the points
According to the app, they can.
Yes but would not waste the time with the knights
War glavies at 150 ain't bad good at armor killing

Hail brothers!
awesome live Rejnols, sadly i missed it, but im wondering what about running more 4 guard units?

custodes clearly are better know thanks to the dataslate, yet all characters seems really overpriced when compared to other armys.

You do not need to worry about x3 Manticore at 180 the Manticore is dead now at least in x3

what system is he using to make the list
New Recruit, it's a web based list builder, though it does have a downloadable app.
@@PopeJrodfor ios or android ?

Valerian Cannot deepstrike, he doesn't have it on his sheet.
He can when embedded into a unit with it.
True, but it's most likely an oversight
