on rough uneven places like a beach - I would normally do a stall-landing - reduce speed until a few knots about stall speed and then flare enough to lose the few knots - the aircraft winges but touches down at minimum speed then I do not press too hard on the brakes but with a balanced pressure to discourage skidding. ground roll can get loner in this condition but remains smooth.
Sorry i do recording in 2k not 4K. Also i am not sure if i full understand what you that means i am new to this and learning. So if you have further advice i am all ears. Discord is discord.gg/s7s6Mw9F
The scenery shown here in MSFS 2024 is a lot better than the base scenery in 2020. That said, there are obvious improvements needed (such as the tree photos rather than actual trees). It's good to see though, that the trees shown are more in keeping with what actually grows there. There will be scenery improvements over time, I don't doubt that, just as we had world updates in 2020. The problem with us in New Zealand is that it is a bit slow to happen. It's a simple case of economics - more people fly in North America and Europe than here so they come first. The winter scenery you showed would be pretty accurate but if you were using real weather at the end of October 2024 there may be les snow as it is our Spring. It's fair to say though that this region was hit pretty hard by Spring storms and snow. My home airport is NZGS on the east coast of the North Island and our claim to fame is an active (scenic) railway through the main runway. Trains have the right of way too!! I'll be interested to see if they have included that little feature. Cheers and thanks for sharing the video. Sorry about the long winded comment. 😁
To say that the MSFS 2024 is better than the base scenery in 2020, is not correct - because all of what you have just seen is the old hat New Zealand scenery of 2020 vintage. So whose fooling who? MSFS 2024 Alpha / Kiwi Scenery / Must See Video - is a direct mis representation of the scenery, airports, airstrips, etc. etc. as to what the the scenery has really been developed up to the present Time. Also to say that - the problem with us that in New Zealand it is a bit slow to happen - I must ask the question of you- being, where have you been all this time. I have been using MSFS 2020 since it first come out and have kept up with all the updates and improvements right up to now - which includes now days, all of New Zealand's main airports, airstrips, helicopter pads - all of which, as they are seen in real life. All of which have brought to life by the likes of NZA SIMULATIONS, Inbuilds and even Asolo themselves. As for the Milford airport and Gorge River airstrip, I have been there with one of my helicopters and also the same Cessna 172 that featured in the video, with both takeoff and landing been accomplished in both places, that had buildings shown in real life, as they actually look like at the present time. Finally, if MSFS 2024 ALPHA/ Kiwi Scenery/ is only going to be able to render the substandard scenery as shown on the Video - I'll definitely not be ordering MSFS2024 - which incidentally I was about to do.
@@keithsouth1187 Sorry, your comment left me a little confused. I am talking about base scenery even with the world updates whereas you are adding third party scenery into the mix which is not fair. I agree that addon scenery has made a fabulous difference (both payware and freeware), to the world including New Zealand in 2020. I too have been flying MSFS 2020 since the beginning and have kept it up to date and installed third party addons. What I'm looking for in the 2024 edition of the sim, is stability, better use of system resources and a smooth experience.
I was a passener in a 6 seater single engine flight from Queenstown to Milford Sound in 2002. Truly epic scenery.
Wow that does sound amazing
i love this scenery format videos
Cool

Thanks for the pointers
I cant believe they still havent sorted the live weather for Milford Sound, thank you for the video though.
You are welcome. Here is hoping they will
Why render a 21:9 video in 16:9? Us 21:9 people now have hugh black bars all around instead of using the whole monitor

Good Lord, never seen so many cruise ships in Milford!
Yeah i have a friend that lives in New Zealand and he says its not correct. Maybe its do to the alpha release and they will fix it in final release
Milford Sound
:)
MESH is still borked sadly.
Yeah it seems as thou it is. Keep in mind this is still Alpha. I hope they will correct it
Dude, when you use outside view of plane, either turn your microphone up or the sim sound down because your very hard to hear.
Thanks... i think i corrected that on my last video i did
No worries. I typed before I watched the whole video. 👍
Just so you know that is as far from what NZMF actually looks like than you can get. FS2020 has a few awesome versions available for that airport.
Yes there is but i believe my version of MSFS 2020 is with out mods
the clipping around objects with water behind them is still attrocious if not worse than in 2020
Yeah i agree I hope when they do the release and nod alpha they will fix it
