The anti ice is selected on before start partly beause it's designed to be fail safe: in the event of an electrical failure the valves will run to ‘open’ to ensure engine anti ice is always available, but to keep the valves shut requires power, which generates heat, which reduces component life. So most operators will leave the anti ice selected on when on the ground, turning it off after engine start if not required for takeoff. Also there is a slight benefit to starting engines with it on because the air bleed reduces compressor load during the start cycle.
@@justflight Hello, dunno if it is something you guys can do or if its Simbrief... but I was looking at the JF RJ profile to see if you could do a 'flex' temp, and it seems you can only pick TOGA for thrust profile. Is that something you can change so we can do a derated take off, or we stuck with using the temp chart (if its there in the in game checklist flip book).
@@edwardsp1916 Yes! Systems-wise it is outstanding, but in my opinion it is a little bit overpriced for a product with mediocre texturing and really dated sounds.
Nice video, will pick this up soon. Remember a pretty aggressive go-around in one of these going into London City from Frankfurt I think it was…we were abeam the dome on the steep approach when the captain fire-walled the hairdryers and stood the jet on it’s starboard wingtip due to a slow runway exit by the preceding plane. I think back then all a/c had to backtrack because LCY lacked a parallel taxiway to the Eastern threshold, so it wasn’t uncommon to abort due to a/c trundling to the apron and late vacating the runway
The 146 is my favorite airliner to fly in the sim and the RJ will be even better. It fits perfectly in the transition between analog and glass cockpit and I can’t wait to finally get my hands on it!
Wow you're weren't kidding about it chewing up a lot of runway on takeoff. I guess that's what happens when you have four hair dryers hanging under the wings lol. Looks like a good companion to their -146, I'm looking forward to release. Thanks for the video.
What a fantastic add on. Why is there no facility to have the default MS sim flight plan loaded directly into FMC? I really can’t get FMCs to work. It’s great having the ability to skip this part of the day up. For me, the fun is manually starting engines fuel etc and flying using the FMC pre loaded
At 26:35 V1 looks terrifyingly late! Could you really have stopped it on the runway from there? But once again, Just Flight have done an amazing job on this. Great airplane I may just have to add to the hangar.
Totally love your reviews and dont miss any of them. Thank you! Picture quality definitely deserves special mention. Can you please share your video setting or processing maybe? Nvidia filters? Graphic card settings? Drivers? Tips? Thank you)
Great video once again. Can I ask, do you use Track IR or Tobii? Seeing as you have some stable head tracking, can you share the settings for the device you use, please?
Very excited for this release, have been waiting for this one! Is it possible to calculate the assumed temperature or is it only automatic for takeoff?
So a very nice bird but Just flight is really milking this. First the 146 $70 or more, then version 2 another $70 and now the RJ for you guessed it another $70 that's a lot of loot for a coffee maker and an autopilot.
The 146 Professional was released March 22 so not three years but not sure what the point is? Not enough updates or too many? There have been 14 thus far.
@@renegadejagd758 Get you now. No, that's not how it works, the numbering system doesn't work like that. The 146 was complete when it was released, it wouldn't have been released otherwise. The updates that follow are new features, fixes and then extra changes that become possible for a myriad of reasons over time. Every add-on that is released follows the same pattern. Most customers are very grateful for the updates our products receive and I think in the case of add-ons from other developers and publishers too. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the insight, i actually wondered
Thanks very much for the info, Paul! I’d always wondered. . .
Much appreciated and all the best to you : )
I have to admit. I stopped buying new planes for MSFS 6 months ago unless they promise the free upgrade with MSFS2024 features updated.
Anyone buying this will be entitled to and will get a free upgrade for the 2024 version just as soon as it's ready. Your call still though of course.
@@justflight That is awesome! Exactly what I like to hear!

Always look forward to your previews, No waffle, and on point.
I skipped all the other previews waiting for yours. Worth the wait.
Wow, well that’s very kind of you to say, SimPicks! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for watching and all the best : )
Man that flight deck is a thing of beauty
Just Flight did it again! How I'd love an MD-83 made by them!!!
I highly recommend the Fly the Maddog.

From the top of my head, the air change over from APU to ENG air was 4-1-3-2.. usually avoided that Master Caution ding!

Great video - thanks for bringing it to us!! Love the London approach in the fog - must have been a big hit on your Graphics card?
My evening viewing sorted.
Thank you. 👍

I remember Prince Charles crashing one.
That was a 146. ZE700

Man, all 5 apus were really straining there.
That intro… WOW
That was a great video! This is such an amazing airplane. Maybe a little bit slow, but who cares.
Another Awesome Review as usual and Happy Nov the 5th Remember Remember The 5th of November.
What did you use for the cabin announcement?
Hi Shinkicker,
It’s just a real-world announcement, that I edited into the video.
I hope that clarifies things. All the best!
@@IntotheBlueSimulations ah, thanks.
This feels very, very 737 inside.
You wouldn’t want to vacate via M as it interferes with the LOC signal 😉
Is there a release date for the RJ pro?
This Friday, we've just announced that.
Wow long take off roll did you have gold as cargo 😅brilliant
well done
When will the marketplace update be released?
Update?
@ there is no update?
Funny question but is there a restroom modeled in that plane😅

3 years later Bae 146 still 0.2.3

Very Good but isn't this just the same thing as the 146?
Edit
Wasn't watching with sound on, realized mistake
Yes but with Glass cockpit. This now has LNAV, VNAV and many more modern features
Its a modernised 146. Glass cockpit, new engines, better autopilot, etc
Someone gave up watching after 1 minute lol
Lol, all your answers at 0:55
Think DC9 vs MD80.
The differences between the two are explained in the first few minutes of the video 🤷♂
