@@occckid123 before I got my Lexus. I had a 2010 Maxima with a 290 hp CVT V6 VQ engine. I was used to the CVT transmission because I owned a Subaru before and it had a CVT but for me personally a CVT in the six cylinder was much more fun and I loved my Maxima, but I got into a lot of trouble with it because it is a sports car. I loved it for the two years I had it. It is a handsome beefy looking car.
My friends' mom had one of these when we were in high school, and they often got to drive it. Thing was a rocket back in its day. Always surprised people how quickly it would get up and go when the 3 of us were out in it. And that goofy moonroof strip was definitely unique.
This is my favorite gen maxima and probably the last most reliable, the newer ones were also very nice but they were prone to having a lot of cvt problems. My friend had a 2010 maxima and the cvt would slip sometimes, that was the only issue with a lot of nissan cvt vehicles. I had an 04 nissan maxima sl, so it had the heated leather, heated steering wheel with auto tilt...gosh that was a really nice car to drive. I miss it a lot, one of my personal favorite luxury sport sedans!

They offered these things with a manual too, same with the 02-06 Altima. You could get the manual with both 2.5 and 3.5 Altimas. I think the Maxima SE was the only trim that offered the manual and I’ve seen some insanely modded Maximas of this generation with Turbos, intake and full exhaust upgrade gutted interiors. Nissan offered these in a beautiful dark orange.
I had the 2005 Maxima SE with the regular sunroof I had bought it for 5k but ended up putting 7k intoo it too bring it back too my reliability standards... From the transmission slipping and kicking and the catalytic converters all 3 and Timing Chanin Guides and 5 alternators I knew this car inside and out and yeah the car knows its being loved and it delivers... Unfortunately a hurricane we had in my city in 2017 Harvey made the flood waters too high and drowned it...

I had one of these back in the day and it was stupidly fast. I get thrown backwards every time hit the gas pedal 😂😂😂 it was fun to drive even though it was a huge lemon just like any other used car. Not to mention the turning circle is massive for a car it’s size. BTW nice video!

I have a 1998 audi a6 c5 2.4L V6 30V avant also with automatic transmission however i have a 5 speed and currently is stage 2 NA tuned at around 250HP 350NM stock it had 200HP 280NM going stage 3 then it should have 275HP 390-400NM but thats about the limit you can do with bolt ons and a tune if i want more i need to open up the engine but tbh 75HP 110-120NM over stock is already alot especially for a 2.4L engine and with that power i could keep up with 3.7L-4.2-4.3L-5.0L V8S in like w210 e430 mercedes and w211 e500 that was my goal to keep up with all NA V6S and V8S up to 5.0L im exually curious if you could also do the same to this maxima but then NA tune it to 300-350hp
That's how it is in this area. You'd be surprised, there are more speeders in VA than I have seen anywhere else, despite one of the most strict laws in the country.
