@@mmt1575 If you want work in korea, you have to graduate medical university that certified by ministry of health of korea and have Korea medical licensing examination.
You have to have Korean language test either..
There are few foreign doctors in korea.. I have never seen yet.
I didn't know how foreiger get korean medical licence until now.

#11 Korea's customer service is arguably the best in the world. You will feel like royalty at a store, hair salon, restaurant, etc.
I have seen similar great service in Taiwan and Japan. And the US is really much better than what you see online.

I beg differ. Most of the foreigners I know were saying that they had some uncomfortable services.
100% my favourite thing about Korea is how nice people are and how willing they are to help you. If they notice you are struggling with something or trying to figure something out they will try their best to speak to you in english to help you. They also love to give little gifts or free things lol it's so cute. My Korean coworkers are super cute too we all take turns buying food or coffees for each other and they make sure you've eaten and are alright and will do anything to help you. Korea is so so so cute

I left my entire wallet (full of both won and yuan, and my PASSPORT) in a kakaotaxi and I got it all back! I went to the police station and they helped me find the cabbie and everything was still there. I literally cannot even imagine getting any of my stuff back if I did that in the U.S.
I also dropped my passport in the airport on my way back to the U.S. from China and they upgraded my seat because "losing my passport must have stressed [me] out" I was like ??? THIS WAS MY FAULT
Editing to add that I learned to never travel tired. I've never had any travel mishaps except when I'm exhausted lmao

Literally the opposite to me. I was in Lyon, France and a guy literally came into my hostel room and stole my money. I literally saw him and had a weird feeling as I entered my room (I had roommates btw) and when i checked my purse and saw what happened i immediately told the reception desk and they said that has happened before with the same guy and they have him on camera. I reported him to the police and they were rude. And a receptionist told me that the hostel got a new insurance for theft. And the manager told me that he will lie to the insurance company if he has to but the owner of the hostel didnt want to pay me back my stolen money nor did he wanna report it to the insurance company and so I never got my money back and then literally 2 days later my friend got pickpocketed and her iphone was stolen even though her hand was in her pocket and she immediately felt it and turned around but we couldnt catch the guy. I helped her find a policeman and i reported to him what happened and honestly he was nice kinda but shitty service. He was like yeah so? Idk what to do for u? I cant help u. Just wow. But like also someone in the US broke into my home and when i saw him beforehand looking thru my window i knew something was up. So i memorized everything about him. And ran into my sisters room to get her phone as he was already into my house. But by the time the police came the guy was gone. Thankfully we hid in 1 room and i locked the doors cuz i literally saw the handle moving as he tried to get in. Anyways i gave my statement to the police and told thrm he clearly came through the kitchen window cuz his footprint was printed there and all the stuff was on the floor. I also went down to the police station to look through a book of suspects but i told them none are him but i showed them the features that the guy did have (which i was right cuz those were mixed features. None of them were real ppl except 1 person). And i told them he was bald yet they stopped a poor guy walking on the road 10min later who had a full set of hair and he was just walking after buying food from macdonald. So clearly the police didnt believe me and they literally told me as i was giving them my statement, "why didnt u tell us while he was still at ur home, it would have been such an easy arrest for us ans cool!" Like wow thx dude. Sorry i couldnt do ur job for u. I literally told u everything i memorized from his look. His clothes (the color, pattern, how worn out they are), his facial features, type of glasses he wor, height, weight, foot size..... But clearly none of that helped. 🙈 My sister and i had nightmares. It was worse for me cuz i was the 1 protecting her too cuz she was frozen from the start before even entering the house. And that happened while i was still in high school. So i think i handled it well. 😊
I like that. It may have been your fault but we all have lapses and it was STILL a stressful and scary situation for you. So...yeah. I get it. But then I don't belong in America.
omg , i totally agree! I'm french and lived in Korea for 9 years now and I just agree with all the points mentionned. I would add : very fast internet available for free in so many places, all the cafes, shopping malls, train stations etc do have free internet mostly. Also, if you are into gaming, then this is heaven for you as there are PC bangs everywhere :0

Korean food is my all time favorite. My family and I lived there for 6 years (4 years in Seoul and 2 in Daegu). Koreans are some of the kindest people I’ve ever met and I love their culture! I also agree with you and that it’s one of the safest places I’ve ever lived 😊 🇰🇷💜

I left my phone on a subway in Korea and I got it back within an hour 👍 Koreans value their honor, family and others. Respect is important. I love Korea. 10/10
Lived in Korea for two years and loved every moment of it. Trying to get used to living in the states again is hard as hell. Food was amazing, hiking the mountains, and how walkable things are in Seoul. Also love being able to order shuttle and basically get any food from you wanted. I will say I missed thunderstorms in the USA.

I was in Seoul a year ago because my daughter was an exchange student. I’ve never felt as safe as I did while there. My daughter left her purse in class that had her passport and debit card and when she went back it was just sitting there. Food is amazing! Everything is so much cleaner there. I too found everyone to be very friendly.

I‘m a korean subscriber who is studying in Germany. I REALLY miss the korean convenience store and the health care system 😭🙏🏻 in germany when I don’t have an appointment, I have to wait sometimes more than 3 hours😂 and also in this situation with Corona I guess staying in Korea is the best way😭🙏🏻

Totally agree with you and I'd like to add the IT system that makes life so convenient. South Korean literally do everything like everything with only cellphone such as banking, food order, buying tickets for movies and so many other events even turning off and on TV, air conditioner, lights outside home, etc. South Korea is one of the best countries to live in.
As you went through this whole list, I just went yaaaassssss progressively longer with each new point.
I totally understand the aesthetic appreciation, I went to SK for 3 weeks 2 years ago, and to this day I still rave about every place I visited.
My parents got separated from me in the subway in Seoul and at least 10 people stopped and asked my parents if they needed help.
I love the dog. Resting on the couch. I hope he or she has a good life. Lots of walks in the park.
I really like how short and to the point you were.
Korea's regular hospital is faster than in America's emergency department. I live in LA I went to ED for Cardiac arrhythmias our I needed to wait for 30 min for answer the questions before just entering the door. Do not get sick in America.
I always have to wait 2 hours or more!!!
Americas hospitals are the laughing stock of the whole fucking world!!. Its just pitiful!!

I think in high density areas the lack of room for expansion allows for a focus on quality over quantity.

i just moved here a month and a half ago, i have not been able to really enjoy my time here due to quarantine, but i am in love with it here already and i also agree that it is so convenient for everything. honestly the transportation is insane. i need to get out there and use these trains lol cafe life is AMAZING

@@evarafinan327 now that I am on year 2 I have actually done a lot even with the cover restrictions. The KTX and ITX trains have been a life saver, and I live in an area that I can easily get to them. I have been to Busan several times for day trips and also got to go hiking at Seoraksan national park. this country is beautiful and I am excited to see more of it. The cafe's are great places to relax but the food is next level. With cover I have found more of a negative view on foreigners and have been told I cannot eat at certain areas or cannot go into certain Cafe's but I am just trying to enjoy my time here.
Left my macbook in a trolley in Incheon airport and it was turned over to the airport office. It was delivered to our local airport here in Davao City, Philippines. I was so happy. I thought it was lost forever. It was so easy communicating with them through email. It went so smoothly and I was surprised not to pay anything for it.

I can't even walk around by myself in America without being harassed or something scary happening. There's so many crazy and aggressive people especialIy in the cities in America. I agree 100% with everything you said. Korean culture is so friendly and helpful.
It is nice that people are more thoughtful about others in Korea. They will always take care of you & hospitality is very important there. In the US, you're expected to fend for yourself. It can feel very lonely and depressing even if there are people around. Koreans are always in your business, so even though this can be a little annoying, it can be super helpful when you're having some kind of problem. They'll take action right away! It's part of Korean society to obligate themselves to help you out and make sure you're okay.
Hi Adrienne, I relocated to the Philippines from the states last year and so excited to visit Korea. Love the food, language and the kdrama's.
Something I love about Korea is that in western countries it can be seen as gay (btw it's 2020 how are we still passing that off as an insult 😒) for men to dress up, have a skincare routine, wear makeup etc. and in Korea it's completely normal, most guys do do it. I just love that because it's just so sad that in the west a man can be made fun of for wearing makeup. But I just feel like in Korea that wouldn't happen because it's normal for them. idk I might be wrong but I think? 😂

Lol depends on the country. In Europe, many men are pretty fancy with their clothes and hairstyles. I don't think anyone knows or cares about skincare. As for makeup, you are right that generally the west doesn't accept it on men...however it is accepted for people who are rockstars, or who are dress like rock fans. People don't consider those "gay looking". Same goes with actors and models. I feel like there is a type of makeup that is considered male makeup in the west, like eyeliner for the rock fans and foundation for those with skin problems and TV celebrities. Lipstick, blush and eyeshadow are less acceptable for straight men and considered more of a gay thing.
There are things that fit better to a certain culture
I have always loved Korea because of their culture, style, the people, etc. I know a lot of people want to go because of "KPop" but my sister and I want to go because of their culture! I am planing to visit Korea someday with my sister. cx

Yes!! I definitely love some of those same things. I know when I got myself all confused on the train more than once someone would take the time to show me where I needed to go and it’s so heart warming.
OMG I looooove Seoul!!!!! people are sooo stylish and beautiful! food is amazing and everything is so convenient!!! totally agreed with everything you said and I was helped by many kind people coz I'm really dizzy on directions😅if not for Covid I'd be there again this year so looking forward to visit next year! been there the first time in 2018 and couldn't stop missing it every since!!! 😍🤩♥️

Wow! The healthcare there is awesome
In Taiwan, Korea, and Hong Kong you can find as many as 4 convenience stores with 300 meters of where you are. I lived in Japan for 13 years, Philippines for two and Taiwan and Hong Kong for around 3 months each. If I was going to retire overseas, it would be Korea or Taiwan.
I also miss the shower houses in Korea. I prefer the community baths. I miss going there from my early childhood days. I the US the indoor bathrooms don't have center drains except in the public toilets. Sometimes I can see drains in the rest stops. In Korea, you will probably have a drain in your home bathroom & maybe in your kitchen too.
tell me why you taking about all these things just me so much more excited and makes me want to work harder to achieve my goal and be able to teach in korea! ✨

Even I looooove Korea, In my country (Greece) all the medical system (public hospitals) is for free. You don't have to pay for anything, even for foreigners. Except if you want to go to a privet doctor. And just to know, Greece is one of the countries with the best doctors in the world, with the most medical findings and awards. Also here if you want to rent a house with one room and one living room the prices can start from 200 euro only (in an old house) till 400 euro most. So, I think we are one of the cheapest countries in Europe for rending. The thing that I love in Korea is very cheap food and transportation. Especially their food. In my opinion, they have the best food in the world and the smartest businessman also.
Basically, Most of clinics and hospitals are private except some government ones for remote area for supporting locals. You can go any clinic as you have health care insurance by government. Even small Hospitals have MRI and CT. Most of doctors are specialist. So you don't need a referrer from GP to see specialist. I live oversea where health care is almost free but can't really compare with ones in Korea in quality and speed.

Totally agree about the aesthetics. I love it. Also the cleanliness. Visited for the week. It was incredible. Going to go back but I am planning for much longer. I went in October and it was funny to see everyone was out sweeping up the beautiful autumn leaves. Every morning! Korean culture addict for the last 10 years so next time I'm going to be prepared by learning the language.

The only thing that I was shocked with when I visited Korea was that many people on the street were aggressive. Even when I tried moving a little to the side for someone passing me, they still bumped into me. And the old ladies are especially aggressive. Otherwise, I actually wanted to stay because I could look past the aggressive walkers; nothing much different from people in NYC.
A lot of small business owners gave discounts and on the house stuff. I remember getting this very strong ginseng alcoholic shot at a restaurant. I think they called it service. I would visit again!

I agree with your last point. I used to do a lot of missions back in the late seventies helping to build and repair schools and within minutes of showing up in my truck the headmaster would send a student with a drink, snack and some kind of trinket with the school name on it.
I want to learn Japanese and Korean, because I might live there for a year or two by choice just because its beautiful.

Nowhere is perfect. When I lived in Korea back in the day, the traffic, the pollution, the heat in summer, the homogeneous culture.....

Pharmacy’s in USA can prescribe birth control, you do not have to go to a provider for the prescription anymore.

Look at your adorable miniature pinscher!! I missed mine who crossed the rainbow bridge a year ago.. Anyway, I also liked that fast/free delivery in Korea. I agree with you it is pretty safe. I never worried about what if I'm mugged or robbed when going out at night. Korean health care system is really wonderful! Korea is safe and convenient to live. ;)

First, usually, there is the delivery fee of 2500 won if u order something online. food delivery is free tho.
second, restaurants usually closes at 10:00 or 11:00 pm but bars, pubs, restaurants mainly for the people drinking are open until 2:00, 3:00, or even 10:00 am next morning.
Third, you're right about people not stealing things mostly; however, I didnt see many people who put efforts to give things they have obtained in public areas like on a street or park bench back to their owners, especially if the item is expensive like a cell phone or a wallet.
In restaurants, stores, transportations or other private venues, they just give the lost items to the employees, staffs, or securities there.
Fourth, I dont know about the birth control pills but you definitely need the prescription for the prescription drugs at pharmacies and it is quite strict.

On Koreans asking if you've eaten, it's because they're looking out for you, and will often offer you food if you haven't.

I agree with all of these as well!!! And for the clothes/appearance part totally agree. Not a people of Walmart culture at all. Lol. The bus changes on Sundays for some lines and I didn’t know and got lost and a lady walked up to me and helped me telling me how to get to where I needed to be. Very very friendly people.

Exactly you can ship stuff easier because of the size of the country. The US on the other hand , it's like the entire European union combined. not so easy to overcome those distances.

These days I noticed some very prejudiced and even racist people from other countries in comment sections making manipulative and sweeping negative generalizations about South Korea and it's peopl due to jealousy and envy. The types of negative generalizarions and criticisms that those making it would hypocritically declare as "racist or bigotry," if said about them.
