Hello Pastor Kaufman! You won’t believe how surprised I was to see you Unboxing your new Schuyler Stridon ESV Bible. I had just not long ago returned home from church and was picking up where I left off reviewing Schuyler bibles and just so happened to choose your unboxing not initially paying attention to your name. About 2 seconds into the review, I said to myself “He seems familiar.” Then I heard your name and ran downstairs to share with my wife. I said to her, you won’t believe who I stumbled across while reviewing Schuyler Bible unboxing! I’m not sure you remember my family (Chaplain Anthony and Tracy Smith and our two children Christopher and Victoria/African American family). We really loved your preaching and how you lived as a true Disciple of Jesus. We know live in Cheyenne, WY. I’m serving as a chaplain now at the VA Hospital. I just wanted to relay to you, that we were grateful of our time under your ministry. I pray your family is well and you all remain in my prayers. I plan to be one of your long-time subscribers. Hello from Ohio and one of the (more than) 3 who viewed your video, lol. I watched this yesterday morning but didn’t have chance to comment yet.
I agree with the other commenter that said it was very refreshing to see a regular person review this bible. Your excitement and joy over this was very sweet to watch. And convicting, to be honest. Some of us have spent enough time in the premium bible world that I think maybe we forget the full wonder and awe that comes with it.
Praying the Lord will use the words within this bible to draw you closer to Him, and bring much fruit from it to share with family and congregation.
I grew up in your neck of the woods (next door in Indiana). Enjoy the colors and beauty that come with this season in Ohio, and thanks for the encouragement!

I am a craftsman by trade, and from what I’ve seen on other channels, and the reactions people have to their work, they are absolutely worth it.
Im curious what color you choose. NKJV is my preferred translation, although I read several.

That's such a bummer! The ESV Stridons seem to be selling out quickly. The Treveris is beautiful, though! I'd like to get one of those, too, someday.

Great review pastor, I enjoyed it thoroughly it was refreshing to see somebody new doing a Bible review honestly from their heart, all at the same time making a very good quality.
I had my eye on the Stridon for a long time waiting for the ESV translation or the New King James Version.
I always figured I would get green or black, but with everybody talking about this new tan camel calfskin I don't know... What a dilemma.

Pastor,, your are somebody and you have another follower from Wisconsin. I also have the Stridon but mine has the small yapp and is dark green goatskin. A lovely Bible. But, my favorite Bible is my ESV Cambridge Topaz. It is verse by verse and Psalms and Proverbs are in a verse by verse poetry format. Glad I caught your video. Blessings

It is a gorgeous Bible. I got it in the crimson, but it was a difficult decision between the two colors. It’s not my first Schuyler and from experience I can say that you will love it. It is a piece of art and what I imagine Bibles may have been like many years ago. I spend lots of time in them and not only is the outside nice, but the font and printing is wonderful for spending many hours reading Gods word.
You are so right... it is a piece of art and so easy to read! I can't put it down!

It really is a beautiful bible. And those ESV cross references are unmatched, in my opinion.
Desert Camel is the most beautiful leather I have seen which is everyone’s favourite on TH-cam. I love it. But for me, I could not justify another Schuyler ESV because it would cost me just under $500AU with Fed Ex shipping to Australia. So I can look but not touch. Thank you for you personal enthusiasm and review of yours.

The ESV Stridon has become my “The One” bible. It’s a beautiful edition and the Tuscany leather makes for a great hold.

Thanks Pastor Hans for this review and the previous video on Dr. Greg Harris' system of Bible marking. I have been on the Evangelical Bible website numerous times trying to decide which premium Bible to purchase. I want one that will accept marking and color-coding and that I can use for preaching/teaching. I prefer the Single Column Reference, but also the Cambriidge style leather covers and the Wide Margin Aquila. So, you've made my decision that much harder! Thanks!

I recently recommitted to God . I only have been using bible apps and now feel compelled to now wanting to get a bible . After searching long and hard I have decided to get the Dark Purple Goatskin Quentel ESV. Unfortunately it’s preordered starts in may for July . I got to wait 5 months .

Thanks! That is one of the things I love about it. It's not bulky or heavy; the size is just right! The trade-off is thin paper (28gsm).
You seem like a veteran TH-camr...unboxer, if you will. You have a very fresh upbeat style with an organized delivery. Think of more stuff to post and I bet you will see your channel grow. Thank you ordinary man who is an ordinary pastor preaching at an ordinary church...so you say.

Thanks! They aren't the same. The Tuscan is much brighter and less grainy. I love the Stridon so much, I'm tempted to combine my Christmases and birthdays to purchase all of them! Unfortunately, it appears as though the Desert Camel is out of stock already (as of a couple days ago). Hopefully, they will arrive back in stock soon!

I once saw that there is a KJV Schuyler Bible.
In it there are footnotes that explain archaic and misleading words. ( For example Isaiah 14:12.)

Hi there Pastor Hans, if you would choose one, this or the black pearl?
That's so hard to say! The Desert Camel is classic and perfect for the pulpit. It's premium; the colors are standard and not too flashy. Everything about that Bible draws me in. However, I can't get enough of the blue and silver of the Black Pearl. It has become my everyday Bible. Both are bound in calfskin, but the Black Pearl feels a little softer to the touch (at least, mine does). If I had to go with one, personally, I'd probably choose the Black Pearl. But, then again, I'm probably just saying that because I've spent more time in it this week. They're both so good!

Unfortunately, they sold out of the Desert Camel in a couple weeks. 😕 You might be able to find one from a private seller on eBay or a FB group.
