- In this video I replace the Windshield Wiper Washer Hose on my
2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD CrewCab Duramax Diesel
DIY: Easy
Parts: Oriellys
3 ft of Hose $2.07
GAT 27042 Vac Tubing .69 per ft
Thanks a million. My problem was as simple as reconnecting tubing that slipped off it's connector, but I figured it out and saved a lot of trouble by watching this vid.
You made this video to easy .
Thanks man
5/24 Just replaced the line on my 08 Silverado Single cab. It was squirting underneath the plastic trim. Great vid, much appreciated.
Thank you for this! I had the same issue with the hose in my '08 Sierra. My son and I tackled the job today, following your instructions. All done in about an hour. Wiper arms were easier to remove after folding them back at the hinge. Got a universal repair kit for the hose off Amazon for about $10, and it worked great. Thanks again!
Thanks for making this video, I needed to find out what was under there before I started digging. Good detailed information step by step. 👍🏽
Thanks
Thanks for sharing this excellent video! My washer system is doing the same exact thing! I will be tackling this repair tomorrow including the wiper arms paint job! Bravo!
Thanks man! Glad I could help.
Great video, just the info I needed, THANKS!
Fold the wind shield wipers up and they will pop right off. Great video.👍
Thank You very much! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Great video. I was able to fix my Yukon the same way. Thank you and keep up the great work
Your video made the repair very easy. Thank you.
Hey. Thank You! Glad it could help.
Appreciate the instruction... looks simple enough that I cn do it.
Unfortunately mine was too sun damaged to use rubber tubing. The AC Delco part replacement is 20908175. No local auto stores carried it or could order so I had to purchase elsewhere online. It cost $30 for the hose kit.
2008 slvrdo leak appears to be before fluid reaches drvs side wiper.
@@haroldchalakee3013 - Yup, thats where mine was cracked due to what appeared to be sun damage or other heat source. The plastic was dry and brittle.
Thanks for the video!! Made the repair simple!!
thanks im going to tackle my 2009 duramax windshield washer problem now I know what is wrong just didnt know how to get to
Great video save time and Money keep from taking to the Dealership 👍😎
thanks man. now i know what im getting into on mine
Thanks for sharing this!
Exelente video .y muy bien explicando
truck did exact same thing. thanks for tutorial. what diameter is the rubber hose you used?
I'm sorry I can't remember. The number on hose is in the description.
Thanks
@@packwoodperformance4x474 wipers popped right off if you flip them up...
@@packwoodperformance4x474 ok well my hose was so brittle it broke at the fitting so what I did was use that same vac hose and stretch it out a little bit opening it up with some needle nose and threaded them over the plastic fitting with the nozzle. works great just an additional step.
Nice
Didn't have the camera when you were replacing it back
At 3.54 you removed a hose. What is the part called that the hose is connected to? The plastic part broke so my hose has no connection to the water line. What is that part called? Can you buy just that piece?
Not sure the name. But I believe most auto parts stores have them. Like the T fitting?
thanks
cool how the black didn’t come off the letters
great video man. do you know where i can get that connector part from that you are talking about at 06:43 in the video? mine is rotted/broke
I think I have seen them at O'Riellys and Autozone. Pretty standard on all vehicles I think.
@@packwoodperformance4x474 thanks man. will have to go check at autozone.
Thanks so much for the video.
Your Welcome
Very good video, thanks.
What size was that tubing you used?
He used Gates 27042 vacuum hose from O'Rielys. It's 5/32 inner diameter.
My audio is terrible on this Camera. I'm sorry. I need an upgrade.
Hopefully upgrading to a GoPro 7 Black.
I have a 2007 Silverado LT 4 door truck and y washer hose leaked in the very same place.
Your video was very good dude & I really do appreciate your expertise.
Thanx❗❗❗
Thank you. Glad I could help.
Great job!
What size tubing is that?
He used Gates 27042 vacuum hose from O'Rielys. It's 5/32 inner diameter.
Cool video, good job man
Thanks
good video thanks
Good job
Thanks man. It started raining so I lost some footage.
How do you change the peace that the From the wiper arm connects to
The piece with the threads for the nut that secures it to the vehicle?
That is the Linkage or Wiper Transmission. It is mounted to the Wiper Motor. There should be 3 bolts holding it down.

what size hose?
I don't know exactly. I used vacuum hose from O'Reillys. I put the numbers in the description that were on it. I took a connector from the old hose with me. They usually have 2 or 3 kinds that will work.
Next time get a QTip an dab sum grease on whatever you don't wanna paint, it wont go thru that. Let dry an wipe away grease. Good for tight spots
That's a good idea. I've seen people use vaseline on wood so the paint cracks up like its old.
What size rubber hose did you use ?
It's been so long I can't remember. If I didn't say what size in the video. I did put the part # from O'Reillys in the description on video.
Or at least the numbers that were on the hose.
