Michelin Wipers were excellent but haven't been able to find the 1.5 million wipe guarantee blade and have recently seen the MICHELIN-STEALTH-Ultra Hybrid. i wonder what can be done to prolong the blades?
Great review. The following are some other features you might want to test in the future. 1. Longevity. Good rubber wipers are supposed to last a year, but silicone wipers are supposed to last up to 5 years. So the investment in silicone wipers are more than worth it if they only cost 50-100% more. 2. Coating. The silicone wipers like the PIAA come with a coating you apply on the wipers and windshield. This makes a huge difference in performance. I wonder if the coating can also be used with rubber wipers. If so, are they equally effective. I'm guessing it would since the coating should work just as well with rubber unless it breaks down the rubber chemically.
I bought an expensive set of Bosch Icon wipers and they squeaked very loudly from the 2nd week. I have a 25 year old Toyota truck so I'm hesitant to spend a lot more money on my next blades. The Bosch were almost $50! Help! I live in the PNW so it rains 9 months of the year...
@ I think my best wipers were the Michelin 10 million wipes wiper blades. I think also you maybe be able to stop the squeaking noises by cleaning the blades or softening them by wiping WD-40 on them. There are also some people who say squeaking can occur if the wiper arm isn’t tight enough.

@@Mr.Beastforpresident Right, and for the record, Consumer Reports is NOT unbiased even though they like to boast how they take no sponsors/advertisers. I watched one of their (C.R.) videos awhile back, and though they have a 'laboratory' that they work out of, I noticed right away that the test method they were using was devised by someone who had no clue as to what a proper test set up should be for the product that they were testing and how it is actually used (and what it is used for) in the real world. Any results would be bogus but advertised as if it were definitive.
The biggest thing I discovered when it comes to wiper blades is that keeping a rag in the car is critical. Running the rag down the wiper blades before driving in the rain significantly improves their performance by getting rid the film of gunk and small particles that build up under them.
Mr. Ambits, When I get gas, I clean the windshield and the wiper blades. I agree it helps. I'm surprised at how much dirt comes off the blades. Great suggestion Sir.
This guy has to work harder on his channel than just about anyone out there. His dedication shows and I appreciate it! Who needs consumer reports? This guy rocks!
After subscribing to CR for decades I quit. They just don't have accurate reviews anymore. TH-cam is the only valuable social media out there as long as you avoid pop culture and politics.
As much as I appreciate this channel, I find this testing method quite lazy. Two years on a roof doesn’t simulate regular use. Having purchased and used these wipers, he’s missing the meat of this test for most people: real world highway downpours and months of regular use with the car’s windshield washer nozzles. I went through a couple sets of Costco discounted Bosch Icons; they began skipping at 1 month and fell apart after 6 (not to mention the tremendous aero drag their pronounced rib produces at speed, significantly slowing the downstroke and speeding the upstroke.) Trico Onyx and RainX had the same awful aero drag issue but to a lesser extent, were quieter with less streaking, had better contouring, and served well for 1 year. RainX wipers were better probably because I didn’t need to use them as much in rain due to the hydrophobic film they leave on the windshield. PIAA with metal frames have replaceable blade inserts that I’ve replaced once over nearly 3 years, they contour better to my windshield and wear better despite all the tiny rock chips in my windshield, they leave a hydrophobic coating on the windshield that’s similar to RainX’s, and they don’t suffer from highway aero drag. PIAA for the win. Second place goes to OE (Subaru) wipers. There, you got a better test and real consumer feedback.
Came here to say I bought a Bosch set of wipers after watching this a year ago and they are the quietest, most efficient wipers I have ever had, and still hold up. Companies should be paying you to prove how good their products are. Fantastic content!
@@jshepard152Maybe depends on your climate. I love in a rainy, but also icy/snowy climate. Especially the ice is quite rough on the wipers and possibly the - 45C wiper fluid i use. Bosch holds a perfect clean for years. I've used the old style ones, but they hold snow and ice. New design is best, but most other brands only last a year until they start streaking. I've got 2 cars and tried Michelin, OEM, PIAA and RainX, Bosch outdid them all.

Most certainly PF is doing some great work, but give CR some respect, they buy and test everything. Washer/dryers, TV's, lawnmowers, cars...every year. It's not even in the same ballpark.
Rick Yanke Consumers Reports is bull 💩. If they done their job so well I or you and many others wouldn’t be here watching someone who does the job right not half@ss for the sake of making millions off of fools. Much of Consumers Reports is a joke to people who are experts in their field. Since you give Consumers Reports so much creditably, tell me what they say is the longest lasting 1/2 ton truck... then we’ll compare it to the real world and facts.
Rick Yanke Also, continuing on Consumers Reports. Tell me what’s the Lightest weight, Low-Profile, Quietest, Most Reliable, Bagged vacuum? And how about the Longest lasting Zero- Turn mower with minimal repairs? Is the Briggs & Stratton Van guard better, more powerful and more reliable than than the same size Kohler? Is the Kohler better, more reliable and more powerful than the Kawasaki? See my point? It’s bull💩 Otherwise tell me.
Rick Yanke And don’t get me started on Residential Appliances, my family’s been in the repair business 42+ years. These new ‘ energy efficient ‘ refrigerators don’t last. They save you enough just money in electricity only to be used on $500+ repairs or whole new units.

I tried Bosch blades for the first time 10+ years ago and have never used anything else. Just unbeatable performance and longevity in my opinion. You do a great job with your videos!
I have used Bosch twice, both times they were horrible. I don't know how yall get good performance out of them, they got loud as hell and really only worked in heavy rains within a few months both times.
I’m a carpenter and a do it yourself fellow. I have to say the videos and testing on this channel is the best. I really appreciate all the effort and skill put into the making of these videos

You're not wrong it's hard to believe it's been a year. This is one of the things I love about your channel you come back and retest after simulating some form of wear which most other "review" channels don't do, plus the effort you go to for each test. you're just a lab coat and some ridiculously precise equipment away from an industry test lab. keep up the good work
It's now two years after you published this video, and I am still thankful that it exists. Just ordered up three sets of Aero wipers to swap out all my vehicles before winter.
Publishing videos on Sunday seems to be working well for most viewers. A big thank you to Jim for putting together a quick access video library, which includes a list of products tested. bit.ly/2FCrBpk Looking forward to reading your comments and your future video suggestions! Best regards, Todd
I await the glorius screw brand showdown, and/or a video on screw length to strength ratio. Still want to see SPAX put to the test mostly, they seem to have less stock at my local home depot of that US brand though.
Over the years, I have found Bosch Icon blades to give best performance due to its rubber compound. I live in NE where winter freezing and sun are factors that stiffen blade edges on most other brands I have used which include most popular and OEM models. Another fantastic test! You are my goto source!
Same here i spend the extra money to get bosch icons. I also use ceramic coating that helps if im going above 35mph the water just rolls off dont usually use my wipers
I can see it now if he gets pulled over...sir we're going to have to take you down to the station the breathalyzer in my car says you're completely sober but that's impossible based on what you're doing
This guy is awesome! He tests things for 1 year! Love you! Major magazines just squirt some water on a car, say a few nice things of the sponsor's brand, and call it a day! But not him!
I've used aero exclusively for about 11 years now if memory serves. Always fast shipping and impossible to beat price to performance wise. Now they've even started shipping them with blade refills, great information!
Someone give this man his own TV show and pay him a TON. he 100% deserves it. There is no TH-camr out there that works harder than this guy to give true and honest feedback on stuff that everyday people use. This dude is a legend
I love the simulated rain contraption while driving at 55mph in the truck! I remember requesting in the previous video you implement wind speed as a factor to the wiper blades, expecting you to just add a leaf blower to the stationary test but you went way above and beyond!! Bravo!!
I tried the Bosch Icon wiper blades when they first came out. I put them on my wife's Honda Pilot. I spent years just getting the cheapest auto parts store $7.99 specials. They lasted about 6 months. I had the Bosch Icon blades on that Pilot for three years before they needed to be replaced. A lot more expensive? Yes. But you replace them so much less often that they more than pay for themselves. Needless to say, I've never used anything else.
Thank you Project Farm for your thorough video of this and countless others I have seen you put together and Kasual Kaos for your comment and info. I've always bought the cheap ones from Walmart and always thought wiper blades were wiper blades and don't waste your money on the expensive ones. I've bought some Rain-X blades and they were great, but short lived. I guess our Summer heat kills em? Idk. I live in Georgia and we have very humid Summers and pretty cold Winters. Not as cold as most of the country, but cold enough imo. I'm so tired of buying wiper blades every 6mos or so. I bought some Trico Ultras I found in clearance a while back. If these are short lived, I am going to try the Bosch Icon and see how they last. If they kept good for about 3yrs for you, they must be good. Thank for your comment. They sound promising.
The Bosch Icon goes on my wife's Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. Its her work vehicle for mail delivery( its also RHD). They last about 5-6 months and do a great job. Other we were replacing every 203 months, They get a work out from sleet and heavy snow, to rain and mud (dirt roads). While they may cost a bit more they help my wife see better. They also last longer. Great testing. Only thing I would add is snow and mud testing. :) Love your stuff.
Am I the only one that gets a little bit of satisfaction when you hear "We're gonna test that." Keep up the great work. I have benefited from your reviews multiple times. Thank you.

Purely on a whim, I purchased the Aero's about 9 months ago without ever watching this channel. Was really impressed with them at first but they don't seem to be holding up very well. The passenger side is leaving a large streak now. The set came with a refill so it will be awhile before splurging on a set of Bosch's. Just discovered this channel a few months ago and must say, I really appreciate your time & effort. Thanks a bunch.

I've been using Rainex for years, and they've given great service. The UV light here in Phoenix is pretty brutal on them however, but I think this would be the same for any brands. Bosch is pretty awesome, but they look like they are about 50% more expensive [ At least the ones that I compared ] . I'll continue to use the Rainex since the performance is pretty good for the price. Thx for doing this !
I have been purchasing Michelin wiper blades for years, I am 64. Based on my experience after using them on various vehicles, both cars and trucks, I will stay with them. I recently thought I'd give a set of Rain-X "beam style" wipers a try on my wife's TrailBlazer. They are not worth the money spent. As it sweeps across to the left (driver's side) it leaves a large patch of untouched windshield in the line of sight at the top third of the blade. The same occurs on the passenger blade. It does not contact the windshield on the return to the right in the same spots leaving a mass of water on the windshield. Luckily I use Rain-X in my washer reservoir so it helps. I tried swapping them side to side and it doesn't help. I will be grabbing some Michelins on my next trip to the store.
@@ernestpaul2484 Sounds more like a bad windshield, than wiper blade. I have seen that happen with my Chevy Duramax. The factory windshield was the best at repelling water and snow, then I had to replace it with a Safe lite and it does no compare and I had to use my wipers more with that windshield.
This the original windshield in the TrailBlazer and it is in great shape considering the year and miles. I have used other brands and had never had the problem before.@@toddhoffmaster6057
@@ernestpaul2484that has been my experience with rain-x as well. I agree with the next guy that my windshield might not be perfect, but regardless I just can't waste more time with them. When I was younger I drove coupe/sedan size vehicles, but now that I have kids my vehicles are larger. Either rain x doesn't work as well on larger windshields or perhaps their quality went down. All I know is that they worked well for me a decade ago but now I'll never purchase them again.
I can definitely vouch for the Bosch Icons. We leave the car outside and had no streaking or noticeable squeaking until year 4! 100% worth the extra cost over cheap blades!
I have had Bosch wipers twice, idk if they were Icon, but they both SUCKED! Loud, streaky, total crap within a few month. The regular RainX wipers have been significantly better for me.

Thanks so much for all the effort, skill, thought, money, and time you put into testing all of these products. You are my "go to" for product information.
Yes! I have been using Bosch Icon for the last two replacements and I have been really happy with them. Definitely quieter then the Trico’s. The Trico’s were my favorite before and I used winter blades all year long and replaced them before the winter.
You never cease to amaze me on your imaginative and thorough evaluations of your product testing. Your work makes it so clear on what the best products are for consumers, be it value or quality. I would go with the Bosche Icon because vision in rain is so important for safety and shouldn’t be compromised for cost. Always grateful for your efforts. Much thanks!
His neighbors don't wonder why there's windshield wipers on his roof, they ask which ones do you recommend. I live in Southern California, every mid October I purchase new wipers... Went with Rain-X Great video, great channel. 👍
@@redwhiteblue7831 Weird. Because i had to return mine just about 2 weeks ago. So it'd be raining and the wiper would wipe up and in this wipe it would leave a smoky film on the windshield that was like looking through fog. Only on the down stroke would it clear the windshield. In reality it meant that 2/3 of the time, I had impeded vision.
Yet another outstanding, unbiased product review. Thank you for spending the time to put this together. I bought the RainX after this testing video. Very happy with them.
YASSSSSS Perfect timing, I was about to replace my current blades I wonder what your neighbors think when they see you driving down the street with a rainmaker
yup , i was thinking about replacing the wipers on my car as well, the blades are about 2 years old and living in quite hot climate so they tend to loose the coating and leave a fog layer behind the wipe after a while.
That’s a lot of work you put in for these tests. Greatly appreciated. I wince a little when I pay what I pay for the Bosch Icon, but I feel it is worth it. Wiper blades as well as tires are not something that I want to try and save a little money to sacrifice performance (safety). Cheers.
Completely agree. Cheap tires can have issues like improperly placed steel belts in them which can cause the car to pull to one side or the other, and the chain of tire shop I purchased them from said it wasn't a defect. I've learned that lesson.
When you released your original windshield wiper video, I went out and bought the Bosch Icon bladed for m Jeep. I can honestly say that they have performed extremely well and have held up in our Arizona weather. Thanks for all you do!
Living in Atlantic Canada, wipers are subjected to some really silly weather. -40c to +40c snow sun etc. The rainx is what I use now, they seem to hold up better. The ac Delco ones I had to change twice a year, the rainx ones I change once a year. Just personal experience. Great video as always. I appreciate your commitment to thorough tests. Hope everyone is staying safe.
Thanks for your feedback, have you tried the 100% Silicone blades now put out by several brands? I’m a big fan of Ac Delco parts as well. Most of the time Ac Delco parts are better than the competition. In fact there’s an Ac Delco channel that shows the quality difference on their parts versus Autozone, Orielly the aftermarket etc... for instance: Fuel Pumps, Batteries etc... I know with certainty their pulleys and alternators are quality compare to the competition. My 2008 GMC has 2500 had 541,000+ miles 13,000+ engine hours on the Original Alternator! Replacing the battery 4 times over that time not to overwork/overheat the alternator to keep charging a weak battery.
@@Mr.Beastforpresident most of my replacement parts are ac Delco, I have no problems with anything they make. Or if I do, its easily handled through warranty. Wiper blades however I have found the rainx latitude to last longer in my particular climate. The newer ones I cant speak for or against.
Have been trying out different blades over the years, and i have always come back to bosch, they last longer, and i have always felt they have done a better job. Cheers from norway, keep up the good work 😀
Love the rig for spraying water at 55 mph. Red Green would be proud... and a little bit jealous! Great demonstration of the difference between traditional wipers and the solid beam type. I never knew.
Just got a chance to watch this testing session, as always, great testing. I would like to add that in my experience, in an area that sees little rain fall compared to other parts of the nation, the issue with wiper blade life and efficacy has little to do with whether or not a wiper blade makes noise or it's prolonged exposure to UV. The issue I see is with long periods of time between use, the blade edge deforms when in the parked position. The blade parks after a downward sweep leaving the edge of the blade bent upward from center, if the blade remains in this position for an extended amount of time, it tends to form itself to that position. The effect of this deformation results in the blade edge not being able to pivot back the other way during an upward sweep causing the blade to skip badly, with poor wipe quality and a lot of noise. The wipe quality of a deformed blade on a downward stroke will still be ok since the blade edge is deformed to the proper angle for a downward sweep but still not near as good as when the blade is new or even close to new. Just wanted to add this in with the understanding that the type of testing needed to see which brand would resist this deformation the best, would be quite lengthy. Thanks for all the time you put into these videos, they have helped me make many choices in products I use on a day to day basis!
I agree 1,000 %. A better rubber compound needs to be developed that DOESN'T HAVE A "MEMORY" ! Also, there should be a solution made available that can be wiped on periodically that will continue to protect the rubber. Wiper blades are GROSSLY OVERPRICED !!!
There used to be wipers designed to "park" themselves off of the windshield. Some older 70s and 80s (maybe newer) GM cars had this feature where when you turned them off, the wiper arm went down til the wipers and arms were parallel to the ground and at the same the wiper arm rode over, for lack of better term, a wedge or ramp that brought the wiper out of contact with the glass. This feature and the fact that there were hidden wipers probably did a lot for wiper blade longevity. By hidden wipers, that means the wipers were mounted under the rear extension of the hood that came over the base of the windshield. When you activated the wipers, the blades moved up a few inches off the ramps and operated from there so the wipers weren't constantly going over the ramp/wedge. These were an awesome, perhaps "Deluxe" feature on certain cars....
@@Hjerte_Verke I remember those. I think there might have been a wind noise problem from the blades fluttering in the air stream since they were "floating". I've thought about making something like that but without the low, "park" position it isn't feasible.
Me: Huh, sounds exactly the same Project farm: Quite a bit more squeaking on the UV exposed wiper blade Me: Definitely more squeaking on the UV exposed wiper blade
Hey Todd, I am VERY grateful for all your efforts. I live on a disability check so quality is more important than price to me. A good friend once told me it only costs 10% more to go first class. With your efforts I know what products are first class and, using the Internet, I easily find them for much less than any local retailer sells them for. Tipping my hat to ya brother! Thanks again :0)
I’ve tried the RainEx and other blades like them, but no blade I have tried on four vehicles beats the Bosch Icon. I can confirm and validate your findings through my personal experience. It’s Bosch for the win just like you stated!
VIDEO IDEA : Best Electric Pressure washer testing that may be used daily on house, concrete, car etc. Thank you for another great and informative video. Very thankful for what you do.
I bought a pressure washer from Sams, it has a Honda commercial engine and a Simpson pump. It cost a little over $500 which was about $200.00 less than some other outlets. It is a great pressure washer. I also bought the turbo nozzle after watching it used on u tube, no regrets on either purchase.
Obsessed Garage has a lot of interesting content regarding this. He's a bit picky so you get more knowledge by actually watching the video and disregarding his harsh judgments
Personally I really like my greenworks electric pressure washer I bought from lowes. It even came with a turbo nozzle and a foam cannon. While I wouldnt reccomend it for heavy commercial jobs, it works great for what I bought it for, washing my trucks, the wife's tahoe, the camper, and the horse trailer. Also works good on our deck.

One of the failure issues with wiper blades is damage from pressure from the spring loaded wiper arm over time. This causes the blade to tend to lean toward one side versus being vertical as when new. A method for testing the blades under pressure over a six month period with UV exposure added.
I had a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta that actually solved this problem. Every time you would turn the wipers off they would stop in a different position. This time they would stop on the down stroke. The next time, when they hit the bottom, they would move upwards slightly to flex the blade in the other direction. My wiper blades on that car lasted forever and worked great.
@@unnainconnu9098 That is an issue with us in the SW. It rains about 8 inches a year here and the dust and grit on the windshield is significant. And the problem with the angle of the blade getting set in the park position.
Thanks for your work on this, wonderful to actually see the difference in the blades and their effectiveness! Just bought a new set of Bosch Icons for my car as a result.
OMG thanks, I’ve been needing wipers for a while now and just haven’t gotten around to getting any. I’m glad this video popped up! As always, you’ve done a great job! Thank you!
Damn, definitely doesn't feel like a year. Gone quick. Could you possibly do a test on the cleaning of something like redex (and/or other brands) vs premium fuels?
I'm not sure about better, but the turtle wax spray and shine and ceramic spray that were best in that test work very well on the windshield. Plus it's easier to apply than rain x, and since you are already putting it on the paint, just spray it on the glass too.
I don’t think there is anyone out there that puts in the time and effort to do specific detailed testing for so many products. You’ve definitely helped me in my purchase choices. Thanks Project Farm for all your awesome videos. I have been frustrated with wiper blades having to replace them every six months- year. So I also did a bunch of research and checked out a bunch of car and truck forums. What I found out is a lot of people that are into upgrading and fixing up their rigs raved about PIAA wiper blades and how much better silicone is than rubber some said they have lasted for 8 years and are still going good. So I bought a pair on 6/10/19 with 131,324 miles and they work awesome like the day I bought them they are still going strong 3 years later 6/5/22 151,052 miles that's worth every penny to me!! I purchased the super silicone bridge style blades the beams/ I beam style look like a weaker design and have not performed well on my company rig. Also you can buy replacement inserts that are cheaper , but no need so far these are awesome. I have since added them on my two other rigs so far they are awesome no way I am ever buying anything else. Also I have a company rig that has to be serviced by a jiffy lube I have to replace them every year if not sooner they often install the beam style which has all sorts of issues it doesn't apply the pressure across the blade like the bridge style does. I don't usually comment on here but when I find a product like the PIAA I have to say something. Wiper blades are a big business just look at your big box auto store they don't sell PIAA they only sell rubber blades or maybe a semi silicone they want repeat business no thanks. PIAA is all I will every use. Hope this helps someone out thanks.

Hello PF, Great video! In my humble opinion having good wipers is important but nothing beats having a clean window shield and prepped with rainX. I don’t even use the wipers sometimes, specially at highway speeds. God Bless!
Been using RainX for years. Just started using the RainX blades as well. Makes a great combination in my opinion. No squeaks at all and most of the time you don't need the wipers.
Are you using the 2 in 1 rain x glass cleaner? Or the (forgot proper name) pure rain x anti water lol. Right now I’m trying the 2 in 1 it cleans the windows very good but not sure how well it will bead off water like the original. You’re right about not needing to use the wipers I was amazed lol.

@@xzibit8614 Bosch icons is the way to go. I can attest they last more than one winter season in Colorado if you don't pull on them when they are iced over.
I've been recommending those Bosch Icon's for a while now. I picked some up for my truck and had them for about 2 years without much degradation. They performed almost the same as new, and I live in southern California where we don't get much rain, so our blades usually dry out and are useless when it does eventually rain. I've been using them ever since.
Thank you for your follow up on this subject. I’ve been using Bosch Icons for many years. I tried Rain-X wipers at one point thinking that they would be better. I ended up going back to Bosch and definitely appreciate them more. It’s important to remember not to run them on icy windshields 👍.
I have Bosch Icons on my truck that have been on there since September 2017 and are still working great. Needless to say, I've gotten my money's worth out of them.
I almost always default to RainX brand wipers. They're always available at Advance Auto, and they seem to perform admirably for me. Great video as always!
Been using Bosch all my life, never had a reason to switch and after seeing these results I have even less reason to. They last a long time (my current set is nearly 2 years old and still works pretty well), so the price really isn't that much of an issue. Plus the second you're getting into heavy rain, you'll be glad you didn't cheap out on your wipers.
I find it's far more imporant to have a water-beading coating on the windshield than than the wiper. At higher speeds especially, you don't even really need wipers.
Todd, you should make a "behind the scenes" video. I find the testing data invaluable, more so than Consumer Reports. But how you come up with and engineer/setup the testing is fascinating as well. Would love a peek behind the curtains. I understand that I'm asking for a much more post processing work 😁 but would love to see how it all comes together.

The biggest thing I discovered when it comes to wiper blades is that keeping a rag in the car is critical. Running the rag down the wiper blades before driving in the rain significantly improves their performance by getting rid the film of gunk and small particles that build up under them.

I went through a couple sets of Costco discounted Bosch Icons; they began skipping at 1 month and fell apart after 6 (not to mention the tremendous aero drag their pronounced rib produces at speed, significantly slowing the downstroke and speeding the upstroke.)
Trico Onyx and RainX had the same awful aero drag issue but to a lesser extent, were quieter with less streaking, had better contouring, and served well for 1 year.
I feel consumer reports can be bought also.
Came here to say I bought a Bosch set of wipers after watching this a year ago and they are the quietest, most efficient wipers I have ever had, and still hold up. Companies should be paying you to prove how good their products are. Fantastic content!

I tried the Bosch Icon wiper blades when they first came out. I put them on my wife's Honda Pilot. I spent years just getting the cheapest auto parts store $7.99 specials. They lasted about 6 months.

You are welcome! Glad to hear!
This is absolutely correct
@@Hjerte_Verke
I remember those. I think there might have been a wind noise problem from the blades fluttering in the air stream since they were "floating". I've thought about making something like that but without the low, "park" position it isn't feasible.
Me: Huh, sounds exactly the same
Project farm: Quite a bit more squeaking on the UV exposed wiper blade
Me: Definitely more squeaking on the UV exposed wiper blade
Lmaaooo got me cracking up on that one 😂😂. Sitting there shaking your head agreeing with him
buy a " figget " that should solve your problem, it worked great on my Toyota
Hey Todd, I am VERY grateful for all your efforts. I live on a disability check so quality is more important than price to me. A good friend once told me it only costs 10% more to go first class. With your efforts I know what products are first class and, using the Internet, I easily find them for much less than any local retailer sells them for. Tipping my hat to ya brother! Thanks again :0)
You are welcome!
I’ve tried the RainEx and other blades like them, but no blade I have tried on four vehicles beats the Bosch Icon. I can confirm and validate your findings through my personal experience. It’s Bosch for the win just like you stated!
Thanks for the feedback.
I don't know if anyone is the same as me, but when I replace my wipers I can't wait for it to rain to use them 😂
Exactly, it’s extremely satisfying to use them and feel the satisfaction of how good they work compared to the old ones
As someone that worked at an auto parts store most people wait until it rains to replace their wipers.
Me too!
Me too
I replace them in the rain when I can't see anymore. No waiting required and you know you got all your money's worth from the old ones.
Kid: Daddy, why is it raining only on the truck ahead of us?
Dad: Oh that's just our neighbor Todd testing something again.
lol Thanks for watching!
VIDEO IDEA :
Best Electric Pressure washer testing that may be used daily on house, concrete, car etc.
Good idea
Thanks for the video idea.
Testing for the avg consumer! I love these videos to really get our moneys worth. Thank you!
I LOVE your tests! You are so thorough and manage to come up with such comprehensive systems to test each product in detail. I recommend your channel to friends (and strangers)😬 Thanks for all your detailed hard work! ❤️
You are so welcome!
Neighbor Looking outside their Window: He's lost it, Steve, he's really lost it. He's watering his truck. No Steve, he's watering his truck while driving it.
LOL
I can't imagine what someone would think seeing that rig going down the road lol
The amount of work that goes into these videos is awesome love the content keep it up👍
Thank you very much! The onboard "rain maker" was a awesome!
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I broke the first set of replacement wipers. 👍
You are welcome!
One of the failure issues with wiper blades is damage from pressure from the spring loaded wiper arm over time. This causes the blade to tend to lean toward one side versus being vertical as when new. A method for testing the blades under pressure over a six month period with UV exposure added.
There's also wear due to friction, so it's not that easy to test in a reliable way.
@@awboat 👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for your work on this, wonderful to actually see the difference in the blades and their effectiveness! Just bought a new set of Bosch Icons for my car as a result.
You are welcome!
It doesn't matter where the wiper streaks, it's always going to be right in the middle of your field of view 🤣.
Thanks for the feedback.
Trucker here and you’re 100% right lol. Got a laugh outta me.
Ah yes, Newton’s law. Lol
Yup
And it's always the driver's side, I have changed just the driver's side, because they only had one, and it was bad before the passenger side.
Where did the time go! Great video idea! Thank you
2020 has been a crappy year
There was a cheap vs. premium brand fuel test here on the channel some time back.
@@ProjectFarm with and without premium fuels. Diesel and petrol?.
@@ProjectFarm To me it seemed to drag on for an eternity because of this covid19 thing hope this comes to an end soon.
Cheers and thank you!
Now that you've got a rain rig, maybe RainX style window treatments? That water doesn't even try to bead on that windshield!
Great recommendation! Thank you
yep. i've used rain-x washer fluid for years, but i'm curious if there is a better brand. unless it's a heavy rain, i don't even need my wipers.
aquapel is better
@@ysesq way better
I'm not sure about better, but the turtle wax spray and shine and ceramic spray that were best in that test work very well on the windshield. Plus it's easier to apply than rain x, and since you are already putting it on the paint, just spray it on the glass too.
I don’t think there is anyone out there that puts in the time and effort to do specific detailed testing for so many products. You’ve definitely helped me in my purchase choices. Keep up the amazing work, We truly appreciate it!! By the way Mr.V2u mentioned you in his wiper video that’s why I’m here. (I didn’t realize you had this video) thanks again for the great videos! 🤙🏻
Thanks and you are welcome!
I agree
I swear you have a video for everything I need to buy. Probably found like 30 videos related to something I'm buying. Thanks for being unbiased and not a shill like most other youtubers.
You are welcome!
Thanks! Thanks for sharing.
Those chain auto stores don't want you buying something and use it for years. LOL
I bought PIAA super silicone blades for our sienna in 2016. Still work almost like new. They are actually really faded and starting to rust lol.
I've been watching soooooo many hours of your testing of things, even tho i will NEVER need the "test results" in my own life, But still, here i am watching even more ! xD
Thank you very much!
"we are gonna test that" xD
I've been waiting for this... ALL YEAR. Thanks! I hope you have help replying to all these comments, I'm sure it was easy when your channel was small, but don't stress soo much reading and replying to them all!
Thanks for waiting and watching!
I changed blades..front and rear to Bosch.. 28 months and still quiet and sweeping well. Hot summers and very snowy n winters thank you for your review
You are welcome! Thanks for sharing.
Hello PF,
Great video! In my humble opinion having good wipers is important but nothing beats having a clean window shield and prepped with rainX. I don’t even use the wipers sometimes, specially at highway speeds. God Bless!
Thanks so much! Thanks for sharing.
Been using RainX for years. Just started using the RainX blades as well. Makes a great combination in my opinion. No squeaks at all and most of the time you don't need the wipers.
@@jaygraham4095
Yes sir!!!
@@brazyflow2850
Brother! Always the original, the 2 in 1 one 1/4 what the original can do!!!
I literally went out and bought wiper blades on your recommendations. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
PIAA is best its made in japan and watch scotty kilmer on it
@@Bond.007. Maybe I got counterfeit PIAA blades, because the ones I bought were terrible. Streaky. They looked fine, but were so bad I put the old anco blades back on.
@@Bond.007. ive only used Bosch Icons. They edge them out.
Thanks for sharing.
His dedication to serving others by doing all of this is very inspirational. This is my favorite channel. Thank you for educating us.
Thanks and you are welcome!
The thoroughness of testing is always impressive and appreciated.
Thanks so much!
Thank you for your follow up on this subject. I’ve been using Bosch Icons for many years. I tried Rain-X wipers at one point thinking that they would be better. I ended up going back to Bosch and definitely appreciate them more. It’s important to remember not to run them on icy windshields 👍.
You are welcome!
I have Bosch Icons on my truck that have been on there since September 2017 and are still working great. Needless to say, I've gotten my money's worth out of them.
Thanks for sharing.
I almost always default to RainX brand wipers. They're always available at Advance Auto, and they seem to perform admirably for me. Great video as always!
Great feedback. Thank you
These are my second choice when I can't get the Bosch Icon's and I need to get new wipers.
Thanks for sharing.
Just bought some Bosch Icon's for my Civic. Gonna try them out. :D
Do you use RainX or similar on your windscreen as well. I do and it helps the blades last longer.
@@robypaul202 how you liking them? Rainy season is coming and I gotta prepare haha. I also drive a civic
Also, I replaced my Trico with Icon's a while back and it checks out with your findings. Icon does a much better job.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Yes, bts or vlog style videos on another channel would be great! You could call it "Project Farm 2" or "Off the farm"
consumer reports is a fcking joke
